History

Established in 1973.

This JUNE 2015 — 42 Yrs. of private music lessons in NJ. The Guitar Studio was started in 1973 by owner Mr Gary teaching all styles of guitar for beginners to advanced students including adults. In1975 the studio was moved to South St. in New Providence NJ. At this time I added a few of my advanced students as guitar instructors along with new teachers for other instruments. Also musical merchandise and instrument sales were added. After 11Yrs. at this location we moved to the Village Shopping Center in New Providence NJ staying for about 8yr’s. In 1993 we moved The Guitar Studio to it’s present location, 430 Springfield.Ave. Berkeley Square Shopping Center in Berkeley Hts. NJ Today we are still helping students learn about music and improving the playing of their instrument.

I started taking private guitar lesson’s at 7yr’s-old. Staying with the same teacher for 10yrs. Then i continued to study privately in New York for more advanced instruction. I also started playing professionaly and teaching at 17yr’s old. During this time i played in all kind’s of band’s and musical venues up to the time i was drafted into the Army Band. After the army i went back to teaching guitar in studios and performing in bands with some traveling. In 1973 I started The Guitar Studio in New Jersey teaching guitar by myself and still performing. After a few years I added three of my advanced guitar students as instructors along with new teachers for other instruments. I also expanded the business by putting in musical instruments and merchandise for retail. This June 2015 it’s 42 years of giving private music lessons in New Jersey and still going strong today in Berkeley Hts. NJ
