Particularly upset with this range. A buddy and I snagged a groupon for range rental for 2 and planned on heading down there. He had never been there before, so he checked the hours on the website. He also looked on Facebook for pictures of the range because he was curious how it was set up. We make the 45-minute drive to the range and find a piece of paper on the door that they are closed for a few days until Friday. Really? That was the best way you could inform people? Not by modifying the hours on your website? Or posting it on Facebook? Or literally anything? I called and someone answered. They were making updates to the facility. Fine. JUSTPOSTSOMETHINGSOMEWHERE. The guy who answered was adamant that he had been posting about it for a month. They didn’t. I checked. They did post about a delayed opening once for May 8th, so that’s nice I guess… The groupon expired and we lost out on range time. No good.

We went for the first time, myself and my 17 year old daughter. We had a great time. The staff was terrific and the range was clean and most importantly, safe. The cost for ammo was very fair.

I like this range a lot. The guys that work the counter are polite and cool. They take what they are doing seriously but still casually joke and have fun. I have been to a few places where everybody has a a stick up their ass *cough *cough stonewall *cough The range itself is clean and the gentlemen that works on the range is a nice guy. Really alert. Some guy was there being a moron the first time I was here and he called a cease fire right away. The dude is on it. Not fucking around. Which is good. So I have been here 3 times or so and I will keep coming back. I prefer to shoot outside but when there is snow on the ground I don’t feel like loading clips outside. Fuck all that mess. This is by far the best indoor range i have been to in the Cleveland area. These guys take pride in the business they run and I enjoy going there. Thanks!

I took the all-day concealed carry class at Select Fire a few months ago. I would have given this more stars, because most of the class was highly relevant and useful. We got a decent amount of range time as part of the class and the primary instructor was very knowledgable. However, one thing REALLY bothered me. They gave up two hours(in an eight hour class) for some guy to come in and try to get everyone to sign up for an MLM scheme where you pay a ridiculous amount of money to have a lawyer on retainer(but not really). It was under the guise of «talking about the legal aspects» but it was clearly just a two-hour ad. The class included a really awesome cop who talked about legal aspects. This other guy was obviously just there to make money off of us and it felt really sleazy. We could have spent those two hours shooting. I hope Select Fire reads this and reconsiders letting people turn their CCW classes into a walking infomercial for someone’s money-making scheme.

Great experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. They keep the range pretty clean and are incredibly serious about safety. Everyone who comes in is first forced to watch a video about what to do at the range.(You can skip it if you’ve been in before) It’s also likely that you’ll get a bit of free instruction while you’re there. That said, the range itself is pretty small(I think 10 lanes) and can get crowded quickly, especially if they’ve got any promotions running at the time. If they’ve just released a groupon, for example, be prepared to wait for an hour and potentially not shoot because they close down shooting before their official closing time. Then, when you do shoot, you’ll be close enough to spy on what your neighbors are doing. BUT. Despite the wait, these guys know what they’re doing and create a pleasant atmosphere for everyone, from new shooters to experienced marksman. You can shoot rifles(.223) here, so that sets it apart from other places. I mean, you have to buy their ammo, so that can get pricey quickly, but they’re really sweet about helping you pick it up if you’re into reloading when you shoot elsewhere. This place is just generally solid and definitely worth visiting, especially if it’s a discount night of some sort.

Had a great experience! My brother and I had never shot a gun before, let alone handled one. Staff took their time teaching us everything we needed to know and patiently waited for us to get it right. And Jan was such a good teacher that I got a bullseye on my first round! Will definitely be coming back again

First time ever shooting a gun. The service was great! Very accommodating and friendly. I suggest making friends with the officer on duty and let them know if you are a beginner. Pleased to say I will be a returning customer.

I agree with Joseph… Mike S. who??? Super clean, friendly, and no waiting longer than about 30mins(during the busiest, peak hours). Cant say thats the case for other places. Heard some complain about the prices… Really? If anything it is $ 1 or $ 2 more than most places(without a membership, which is a sweet deal also, must check out) AND when I know that extra is going towards a RANGEOFFICER, I consider it money well spent. I know that I wont get flagged or clipped by an errant round whilst visiting this upstanding establishment. Range officers are also a wealth of knowledge and assistance — they’ve been there, done that, and went around the block! Very cool(only in the summers, temp-wise!) and safe place to shoot. Will visit again!

The staff at Select Fire is courteous and friendly. They take safety very seriously, and the range is clean and new. Unlike other ranges in the area, I’ve always felt welcome here.

Excellent range! Brand new inside. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is always a range safety officer who is actually paying attention and willing to help. They also have a new simulator as well that is incredibly realistic. You do have to watch a short safety video if you are a first timer, but it’s worth it. A+++

This will be my go to gun range going forward. It was really crowded mid day on a Saturday. From the minute we walked in the attendant at the counter got us going with our paperwork, then was moving people in and out efficiently. We waited 30 minutes but it was worth it once we got in. Got a rental gun to try out and it worked great. The range officer got us going with helping to set up our targets and quickly got us going in our lane. Everyone treated us well and professionally. I can go to a much closer range 5 minutes from my house but I prefer this place even if it’s a 20 minute drive. Check this place out, I hope they expand.

Excellent facility and staff. I like that they are focused on safety. If it’s your first time there you must view a safety video before entering the range. This video shows what is expected of you for safety sake.

Hands down the best indoor range around. Staff is polite and knowledgable. Polar opposite of Stonewall.

This is a range done right! The obvious advantage is that this is a new facility. The staff is friendly, professional, and focused on safety. Others in the area should take note. While there are not be many accessories, firearms or ammo to pick from. That point is moot as Fin Feather Fur is right up the street. Bring your ammo, targets, toys and have some fun. This is the best indoor range in NEO.

I give four stars because I have not shot here yet. I stopped by after working with my buddy one day, his shop is near here. I have been going to Stonewall, way out of the way, now I will shoot a lot more often. Prices are compatible, actually cheaper and even given the current ammo shortage due to the government«buying» all of it, they sold me three boxes of 9 ammo, no problem. Fir, Feather and Beyond and Stonewall will only sell one at a time. Hopefully they continue to keep this sale open and not restricted to one box. Either way, it’s closer, which is good because gas isn’t cheap these days. It is a small little place, seems pretty clean cut, friendly staff. I’m not gonna lie, they don’t have nearly as much product to sell as stonewall, but if you read my review on Stonewall you’ll see what I think of them. So, here is where I will be going to work on my Dirty Harry shot accuracy from here on out. Definitely support this place. F*** Stonewall!!!
