I left my job as IT Manager for MCI Worldcom/​EDS and started my own retail computer sales and service center. We have been in business and growing annually ever since. We are one of the top rated repair centers in our local area if NOT the top rated.

Mike started in computing in the late 80’s and whether by curiosity or general aptitude took to computing like a duck to water. By the mid 90’s he was bored with his «go nowhere» job and decided to dive in wholeheartedly into the computing industry by changing careers and working for MCI as a Compaq support technician.

Within 2 years of starting at MCI, Mike was named IT Manager of the support group in Ky and after a few years, and with the dot com bubble burst and MCI changing hands decided to take his savings and open a Mitek Computers LLC in his hometown of Berea Ky. Mitek was formed as an LLC in 2001, and the business has been a success since day one.

Mitek remained in its original location on Richmond Road from 2001 – 2008 and in early 2009 moved to its new location on West Jefferson St.
