We are a small animal veterinary clinic that treats exotics like birds, reptiles, ferrets, and pocket pets. We have a full service animal hospital, with in-house laboratory, pharmacy, digital X-ray, and dental service.
History
Established in 1985.
In place for more than 20 years, MetroPet Veterinary Clinic was purchased in 2011 by Dr. Alice Toriello. After two years of growth, we’ve added associate Dr. Toby Beck to increase our number of appointments.

Business Owner
Dr. Alice Toriello graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 as the Vice President of her class. After an internship at the Cleveland Zoo, she practiced for three years in a busy urban vet clinic in Detroit, Michigan. She then worked for two years at All Creatures Veterinary Care in central Pennsylvania in a practice focused on exotic and pocket pet medicine.
Dr. Alice has volunteered for organizations such as Centre County PAWS, the ASPCA, The Berea Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), Ferrets Unlimited Rescue Service, Healing Hearts Ferret Rescue, and the Pennsylvania Ferret Rescue. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Academy, Cleveland Veterinarian’s Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, Ohio State University Veterinary Alumni Society, and the Berea Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Alice has three doggies, Gidget, Olive and DaVinci, who are known for their mischievous ways.
