History
Established in 2009.
Berea Center for the Arts is located in the old movie theater in Berea that was built in 1926. The last movie was shown in 1984.
Today the building has been renovated inside and outside, mainly with local labor.
The ground floor is an attractive and unique gallery representing many fine artists and also Puppets & Such and Fiber Frenzy. The Old Balcony is now an exciting auditorium with original seats and ceiling. This is used for live music performances, poetry reading, puppet shows, Berea Celtic Festival and dance workshops. The acoustics is outstanding.
Sune Frederiksen bought the building in 2007 and after almost two years of renovation the final result is fantastic. Stop by to check things out and feel free to be impressed.
