Lousy service. Lousy food. Inaccurate order. Worst experience ever at a braums. Most of the time, Braums is hard to beat. Not this one. I’d recommend the McDonald’s up the street.

Came here the other night because my family and I felt like going out for dessert. We have been told by a few people to come check this place out. It is a ice cream/burger joint(with a drive-thru option) with a mini grocery store. We came here strictly for the ice cream, so this review is only for that. I had definitely experienced better ice cream. My husband got the double dip sundae and I had a single scoop of german chocolate ice cream. The German chocolate ice cream was meh. I wouldn’t get it again and wouldn’t go again. I had a few bites of my husband’s sundaw and it was just okay. The good part was their customer service was good, but that is not enough to bring me back.

Stopped here on our Coast to Coast Road Trip on the high recommendation of my BFF who grew up in Oklahoma. We missed our opportunity to hit a Braum’s in Oklahoma, but went out of our way to experience Braum’s ice cream in Bentonville before we were out of the region. Yeah… I’m usually pretty generous with my Unilocal reviews, but I’m having a hard time with this one. Let’s break it down: ICECREAM: — Ordered chocolate, butter pecan, and mint chip. Were they good? They were fine. Were they way better than ice cream from your local frozen food aisle? Maybe the butter pecan, but the other two were no better. The mint chip had A LOT of peppermint extract(you know when you can taste the alcohol from the extract). The chocolate ice cream tasted like chocolate. No «wow» factor. The butter pecan was the best. Lots of pecans and the taste was right on. PRICE: I wouldn’t have paid that much for ice cream if I’d have known what it would taste like: very similar to much cheaper stuff(with the exception of the butter pecan). SERVICE: The gal at the counter didn’t seem to want to be there. No greeting as we walked in. Everywhere we’ve been, when I briefly explain that we’re just stopping through on our ridiculous journey, it’s an effective ice breaker and we often get the staff’s enthusiastic recommendation for one thing or another. This young woman stood behind the counter, said something like«hmm,» stared at us, then waited for us to order. Not a hint of a smile or show of friendliness. It’s an ice cream shop, for Pete’s sake, not a funeral home! Lighten up and polish those customer service skills!

I wanted so much to like this place, especially after the recent renovation. Unfortunately a poorly trained, unmotivated staff, dirty restaurant, and mediocre food left me unimpressed. Staff got our order wrong. Flies everywhere. Dirty floors, tables, and even the counter. Fries were good, burger tasted like a cheap high school cafeteria burger. Ice creams and milk are excellent.
