Sorry guys — like one of the other reviewers said, «You need Restaurant Impossible». Portions way too big. Came in Fri May 31 with hubby&3 hungry kids. Left with 6 go boxes!!! Prices are little high and restaurant needs renovating. Service was not good. Darn I am looking for some positives here. I’m just gonna stop. They need to revamp everything. Should have gone to Subway.

Place is a decent spot to stop if you’re out in the Benson area. Portions are huge and prices are good. Staff is friendly and courteous. The philly cheese steak was delish.

Best biscuits and gravy ever! Friendly staff and great service. If you are in the area stop in for the Campfire breakfast. You won’t regret it!

The servers were nice, the menu options are overwhelming, prices were slighty higher than average. This place is a prime candidate for one of those restaurant renovation reality shows. The décor is… uninspiring, random and tacky. The sign says Greek/Italian but it looks like any old basic diner — with a cowboy motif covered counter — some plastic flowers, posters, and a really cool photo(painting?) of a train. The hallway to the restrooms is dark and scary. And the beer case is right in the middle of the dining area. Which I guess is handy if you want to help yourself. Based on the ‘Italian/Greek’ sign outside I was expecting more of a, well, non-stardard American menu. They literally have anything you would see at a diner — five+ kinds of soup, salads, sandwiches, nachos, assortment of fried appetizers, plus pasta and gyros. I was bummed they didn’t have hummus and pita bread though. I was astonished by the desserts! The merigne pies were a good 6 inches high as were the cream pies and cakes. Banana cream, coconut cream, lemon merigne, key lime, chocolate peanut butter cake, rice pudding, bread pudding. During our time there, 2 freshly made pies came out of the kitchen. The pie cooler was a beautiful sight — but they should have it better located so people can see, not tucked in the corner.(Warning: the pies and cakes were almost $ 6 each, but you get a large amount.) I tried the chocolate peanut butter and it was average — I’d get the pie next time.

This place is a good diner with«Flo» and«Alice» behind the counter. It’s good and comfortable. The steak salad it great. Everything else is decent. A good choice if your on the road.

This place was ok, the food was ok, the service was ok. Nothing to write home about. I ordered an Italian chicken sandwich, it was open face, but it didn’t say that on the menu. I asked for the marinara on the side, the waitress brought me a side of marinara, but the sandwich still had it on it. I ordered«disco fries» I was hoping it was like Canadian poutine… it wasn’t. It was under seasoned, not enough salt in the gravy, fries, or the cheese. Kinda bland over all.

My first inclination is to give Palatiamos 2 stars. But it’s better than 2 stars, at least in the diner category. 3 stars seems too much though. In the Unilocal system of 5 stars it’s squarely 2.5 stars — average diner fare. I had a cheese omelet with potatoes(they called them«chunks»). I was curious about the sausage gravy so I asked for a side of it. When my food came they had lightly covered the potatoes in sausage gravy. I would have sent the food back… but the sausage gravy was pretty good.

Before heading to downtown Benson for a business meeting, I dropped by Palatiamos for a quick breakfast and let’s just say that the city of Benson doesn’t have a ton of options. Everybody gave us three guys a very weird look as we walked into the casual breakfast joint with suits and ties on(on a mid 70s day). But nevertheless, you’ll find a nice cheap, average quality breakfast with plenty of options whether you’re looking for waffles, a steak and eggs, or your more basic breakfast. I had the cinnamon raisin waffle and they plopped a bunch of boxed raisins on top of the waffle so it made it very difficult to butter my waffle. Otherwise, nothing too special about it but it does the trick for $ 6.
