This place has horrible service nasty owners and very mediocre food they are not customer oriented at all. They act like they’re doing you a favor by serving you there. I strongly recommend A & S bagels over this place.

Was recently in hear for breakfast. Big place with alot of seating. I wound up getting a pork roll egg and cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. And a large pumpkin spice coffee. Everything was good and would definitely recommend this place. More for the soups and chili that with in time I will go back and try. For the service, was fast, and the people that work there are nice. When you poor you’re coffee remember that the creamers are at the bottom in the refrigerator where they sell the drinks. This is a good place if you are in a hurry and want to get quick bite to eat…

Pretty good place. It is very nice and clean inside. People there are very friendly. I’ve only had variations of bagels. I’ve had bagels with cream cheese and bagels with bacon, eggs and cheese. All were okay. I wouldn’t go crazy over the food but it doesn’t suck either. It’s more like in between. The food is okay.

I’ll be more than happy to bump this up to a five star rating after I’ve explored the menu a bit more. Needless to say, I was not let down by my experience here today. It was a chilly day up in the burbs, and I was in the mood for soup. Not just any soup, but something cooked up with love. I had heard about the SK before and made my way over. It’s a cute little place inside a shopping center on Bensalem Blvd., hidden in plain view. There’s a good amount of seating on the inside and it was really clean. I was greeted immediately upon walking in and the dude at the counter was more than happy to offer me suggestions. I told him I had chili on the brain and he told me it was a good choice. I went for the 16 ounce cup(it was SWEET chili, mind you) and took it with me. You have the option of bread, crackers, or oyster crackers to go with it. I pay a little over eight bucks for it, which I thought was a tad steep, but what the hell… I was hungry. I was happy. The flavor was delightful. It was the fantastic balance of sweet and spicy at the same time, I almost couldn’t take it. I finished every last bit. I don’t even know if I’ll want to try anything else because I feel like I’ll want to get this damn chili every time I go. I did take a look at their menu, their other soups sounded pretty decent. They even had a chicken pot pie soup on special today that I was really tempted to order. They also offer salad, sandwiches, and breakfast. I’ll be back for sure.

We’ve been looking for a good and proper soup spot in the greater Philadelphia area for years. Soup King was referred to me by a colleague who lives near by. Its a little bit of a drive from our home in Southampton, but boy was it worth the trip! Folks are attentive and friendly. Looks like three generations at work on the Saturday we visited. Soup was hot and tasty. The variety of three sizes offered give every appetite a chance. The wide variety of flavors also is enough to fit every taste. And if you can’t decide they will cheerfully offer a few spoonfuls of a taste in a small cup. I enjoyed a seafood gumbo and my pal had the broccoli and cheese. So we do have one negative: The broccoli in the broccoli and cheese was too big! It was fresh cut crowns in a wonderful cheesy broth… but the greens were more than a mouthful. Would have looked great next to a filet mignon but it was a bit of a job working it with a soup spoon. Next visit we’ll get a sandwich too.

I love soup king I go every Saturday for either breakfast or lunch I have no preference since everything is excellent there. The bagels are always fresh and there is a good assortment. The soups are also all very good especially the cheese steak soup. The sandwich’s are also very good my husband always gets the cheese steak and loves it. I definitely recommend this place no matter if your in the mood for breakfast or lunch.

I wanted to like this. I truly wanted to. I love small town little café/breakfast/lunch joints off the beaten path. Such a great small business and a change from the typical chain restaurants and fast food places. However proceed with caution. New England clam chowder was nasty. It was clumpy and not because it had potatoes and clams in it the actual base was clumpy and it wasn’t white or creamy white it looked like chicken gravy from diners you know that yellow thick nastiness. The celery was mush and the potatoes were extremely undercooked. I’m being honest when I say this but Progresso serves up a better clam chowder version. & im not that much of a chowder snob. I have had New England clam chowder in New England and I wouldn’t expect the same quality of New England clam chowder here and I have had some okay ones in the area but this was just weird. It made no sense what so ever. Stay away and shame on me for not asking for a sample before hand. Sandwiches are ehh give or take… no wow, not bad but like ehh okay but not worth it. I never had a bagel there and would be open to trying them for that as they looked good and great variety. Place is clean which is a plus.

The selection and assortment of different soups is always amazing. The sweet chili is unlike any chili I have had anywhere else. They tell me because they use London broil for the beef. Today I tried the grain bagel with LOX and it didn’t disappoint. This is my 5th or sixth time here and I have never been disappointed by the quality of the meal or the friendliness of the staff.

I have to write a review today… This place, visit after visit has been awesome, consistent, friendly service, great food, great coffee. A place like this is truly a gem to the community. I would hate to see anything ever happen to it so go, go, GO! right now patronize this business. I go twice a week in the morning and order porkroll, egg and cheese on a different bagel everytime and coffee… the bagels are always fresh and tasty… the coffee is always ready to go with flavored creamers, milk whatever you need… And its cheap!!! I am huge fan!!! Thank you !

When this place gets really busy, they have issues getting the order correct but honestly, the food is so good, I often don’t care! Try the scrapple egg and cheese on a toasted bagel. Scrapple sliced thin and fried to perfection. YUM. Moving beyond the best and big breakfast sandwiches, they have the best soups around. Try the seafood gumbo and you will be hooked. I pass this place twenty times a week and have to fight the urge to get some of that gumbo. You know when you are watching food shows and you see places and say«I wish we had a place like that near us.» This is one of those places. If you are lucky enough to be in the area, make it your favorite place as I have done. I cannot say enough good things about the food and the friendly staff.

I went here for the first time yesterday. My wife has been in a few times and suggested we go for a late breakfast. My first impressions were great. Spacious, indoor avid outdoor seating, wide selection, reasonable prices. The girl at the counter was very friendly and polite as was the gentleman that brought our food over. I ordered a pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. It was delicious. The bagel was really really good. We did get a side of hah browns which were overly greasy. I mean saturated. We bright it to their attention and they gave a refund with no real argument. My wife did say she had gotten them there before and they were not prepared that poorly. Overall I give a thumbs up and would go back again.

I had never heard of this place until a couple days ago, even though I have ordered delivery from dozens of places nearby. My mom, from halfway across the country, discovered them online and ordered me lunch for my birthday, which was a great surprise. She praised the woman who took the order for having a sense of humor and when my lunch arrived, the delivery woman was equally as nice. They were even awesome enough to write a message on the bag from my mom, ha. Now onto the food! For a place named«Soup King,» I had much higher expectations for the soup. I had the chicken noodle soup and it was rather bland unfortunately. It didn’t really taste like much of anything. The salad, though? Amazing! Super fresh and FULL of toppings, which is my favorite part of a salad, of course. They didn’t skimp at all and everything was as crunchy as it should be(I had the mandarin salad). The turkey wrap I had was so-so…it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special either. Just a basic turkey wrap and it hit the spot all the same. The best part of my birthday meal was actually the brownie… perfectly chewy in all the right spots and soft in all the rest. Mmm, mmm! And while I don’t normally want to know the price of a birthday gift, I saw the final receipt for my spread and it was less than expected, especially being delivered, too! I had plenty left over for later, so ultimately got two meals out of it. I wouldn’t order from here every day, but I’d love to try some of their other soups and wraps at some point. Who knows… maybe one of the more specialty style soups would bump this place up to a 5 star.
