Tortilla chip crumbs on the bench seats. Wadded up paper on the bathroom floor, as well as a leak behind the toilet with water(hopefully, it’s water) running across the floor, and some kind of sticky substance on the stainless steel stall wall that collects lint and hair and such. Ugh. Also, the menu I received made a sticky«click» sound when I opened it. COMEON, NOW! The salsa is good, but the chips were a bit on the greasy side this time. The chicken queso was rather salty, but not bad on overall flavor. The chicken itself was so well-brined that it was almost squishy instead of tender. The vegetables were fresh, but like the cilantro lime rice were on the oily side. A little disappointing. Again, the brisket quesadilla is good, it’s a large portion, and it’s fresh and properly made. I still say that there’s no noticeable jalapeño essence to the bbq sauce, and while it’s still smoky and works great with the dish, it is actually overly sweet. Food O.K., prices O.K., cleanliness still leaning towards abysmal.

When I saw On The Border via I thought it would be an authentic Mexican Restaurant. Turns out to be a Tex Mex chain. From eating the tortilla chips, you’ll take in a week’s supply of salt. There must be a tablespoon of salt per ship. The food selection was standard chain Mexican restaurant. Tacos, Quesadilla’s, Enchilada’s, etc. I really was not impressed with the food quality. The chicken was a bit too burned and a little dry. Price point was a tad higher than I expected; I guess they have to pay for all that sale somehow.

Okay so let me start by saying I am a huge fan of the happy hour here. I love the big beers, they are one of the few Mexican restaurants that carry Dos Equis Lager in draft. Huge fan of the beers and appetizers here. The chips and salsa are always good, on some occasions the chips can be very salty. I always thought it was decent for a chain restaurant. Not so much anymore. We stopped in for an early dinner and what a big mistake it was. We got there during happy hour so we ordered a few beers and the empanadas. Beers we’re good empanadas were just okay. Nothing special. We then ordered the entrees. I ordered the southwest chicken tacos, my wife ordered the street tacos, my daughter got chicken with rice. This is where the nightmare all began. We received our entrees and my chicken as well as the chicken my 3 year old had was raw. I bit into my taco and the chicken was hard as a rock. I sliced into my daughters chicken breast, yes raw. There is nothing more dangerous to eat then raw chicken, you can literally kill somebody. My wife ordered the street tacos, she ate one, the other had a hair in it. I find that there is nothing more disgusting than that! It’s a dumb mistake to make, not to mention it’s disgusting! I’m not sure if we went on an off night or what but it was truly a nightmare. The manager was great about it, why I’m giving 2 stars. He comped our meal which was nice but I’m sorry raw chicken is no joke. We paid for our drinks and left hungry, quite disappointed. This is why we try to avoid chain restaurants, we will not be back.

TERRIBLENITEOUT we were there sat nite the15th of jan after a movie. after being ignored at the front desk when putting our name in, when i watched others coming in after us and being seated before us I went up and questioned asking if there was call ahead seating? answer no. I asked to see manager and was seated a few moments later. talking with people in the lobby due to our long wait general concensus this has happened to others also i.e. name getting lost or placed low on list not sure how this happens??? now once seated putting the long wait aside, ordered drinks which were right on point waitresss was great food enjoyed but with a few things lacking having said all this when we do our weekly movie nite will drive a little further down the road for better mexican!

We have been going to OTB for as long as it’s been open at its Neshaminy mall location. I’ve always been a fan of their dos Equis fish tacos and how can you not love their free chips and salsa!!! Lately though it has finally been living up to its chain persona. The food has become either overlooked, undercooked, flavorless, or just cheaped out on in its process of being made. I had the grilled mahi tacos tonight which I only ate 1 out of the 2 I ordered. It was awful. The fish was dry and the corn tortilla it came on was barely edible. Felt and tasted like sand and it crumbled in my hands. Even the tangy sauce it comes with couldn’t mask its taste. I ended up eating the cheese quesadilla my kids didn’t finish just so u wouldn’t be hungry. It was a poor experience from an otherwise usually solid chain restaurant, however, this seems to be the norm for it now. I will not be going back to OTB for a very long time. Sorry, you lost an old and loyal customer.

We used to love this place but it just seems to get worse with every visit. Last time I had a taco special — 3 flour tortillas with a few small drops of chopped up tiny pieces of steak and some melted shredded cheese. No flavor. That’s it. Really? I could make that mediocre taco at home with last nights leftovers. Tonight my husband had grilled mahi mahi tacos. The fish was dry, did not taste fresh and wasn’t edible. The corn tortilla tasted like sand paper. I had dos xx fried fish tacos which are the one thing that has been consistently good throughout the years. Overall two very disappointing visits and I don’t think we will be going back for a very long time.

I am very disappointed in you guys. I ordered the spinach and mushroom enchiladas. One of the only things that didn’t involve meat. Had the black beans and rice because i figured I’d be safe. They were the endless enchiladas so the next round i ordered the onion and cheese because i also thought i was safe it got to my table and there was meat sauce on it. When i mentioned to the waitress that I dont eat meat she began to tell me everything i just ate that had meat in it. The white sauce on the enchilada had chicken in it. Even the rice had chicken in it. YOUNEEDTONOTETHISONTHEMENU! Not only am i sick to my stomach right now because I dont eat meat because of reasons I’m very passionate about, but also because I don’t know how many other people have eaten this that wasn’t aware. And there were no traces of meat in the rice or sauce so you hid it well and that’s pretty fucked up.

Love this place! Great drinks, meals and desserts. Staff is always super attentive. Gets insanely busy on the weekends around dinnertime, we only go weeknights.

Food was great except the re fried beans! They were so bland and gross. The hard chicken tacos were very good. Chicken was tasty and juicy which is a plus. The customer service was excellent and overall the experience was quiet and pleasant. We had the pick 3 combinations and two margaritas. I highly recommend the shaken margarita. On a weekday it was fairly slow and quiet. I had a good experience at this restaurant.

Yeap 3 stars! It’s located across from Neshaminy mall. Plenty of parking available but this place gets crazy busy at nites. There was a 40 min wait when we arrived. The seats at the bar are always available. Btw, they don’t take reservations or call aheads. They offer complimentary chips and salsa when seated. Chips were great, salsa needed some lime. We ordered fish tacos and chicken fajita. * Dos XX fish tacos: beer-battered fried fish, creamy red chile sauce, cabbage, cheese, pico de gallo, flour tortillas served with rice and beans. I ordered this for my friend and I loved it more than my dish :-/Comes with 2 or 3 tacos. * Mesquite chicken fajita: this was very disappointing. I love fajitas and I’ve ordered it before to know how it should taste like. The dish came with caramelized strips of onion and bell pepper and topped it with stips of chicken. I could tell they weren’t cooked at the same time. Comes with rice and beans, Picco, guac and sour cream. For $ 15, I was expecting more cooking in their part. Overall, decent meal if you don’t order the fajita!

I must say that I am a little biased in my opinion because Mexican food is my favorite; however this place is great! The portions are very generous and the margaritas are delicious. They also have great happy hour specials. Best of all, I have never been here and had bad service(thankfully). Definitely worth a try.

I ordered the street tacos with carmitas. They were good except for it was only 1 corn taco. I eat street tacos a lot at various places and it is usually two corn tacos doubled. This was only 1 so they kind of fell apart. The pork tasted very good. It happened to be happy hour so I got a house grande margarita for $ 4 which was good but a little too tart. They had lots of other happy hour options for $ 2, $ 3& $ 4.

I came here for the Taco Tuesday specials. I suspect the real value is in the Happy Hour specials, which I plan on participating in very soon. It was midday, and I came to sit at the bar. I ordered a small margarita, and two carnitas tacos, one soft and one hard shell. The margarita came with salt on the rim, and was strong as well. They brought out two hard shells, which I ate anyway. The meat was a bit on the dry side, but for $ 3 per pork taco, I’m willing to do a second taste test. Bartender was nice. Although she forgot to put eating utensils out for me, she quickly noticed her mistake. She was the only one at the bar and did a good job of being accommodating to all of us in her area. While yes, this is a chain restaurant, it is a good value. The bar area is spacious, and is separated from the rest of the restaurant. It also looks like there is a nice outdoor seating area as well.

Awesome happy hour! Bartenders are super friendly and the crowd is mixed and lively. And yes, there is even outside seating and fabulous Spanish music playing in the background. Come here and load up on margaritas $ 3, coronaritas $ 5 and extra tequila on both for an extra $ 1! Then finally sober up with some mini tacos, loaded nachos and flautas. You’re bill will probably be a grand total of $ 25 like mine was with my hubby! Then, act like a total baller, and slap you’re card down on the receipt before anyone notices! You my friend, are now the Queen of Happy Hour. You’re welcome.

I haven’t been too impressed with the Menu here. I’ve been ok with what I’ve ordered but nothing so much so that I’d be inclined to come back. I had the jalepeno BBQ salmon and the beef taco salad. Both meals were alright but not things I’d want to order again. I also tried the avocado fries and they were awful. DONOTORDERTHEM. The sauce that they come with make it even worse. I had high hopes for this place and I gave it two tries so I wouldn’t be rediculous with my review. I think I’ll stick with chipotle.

Food is very affordable and delicious! margaritas are also super good but they’re pretty much the same price as an entrée lol. So you save on the food but spend on the booze, which I’m perfectly fine with. The one reason this doesn’t get a full 5 stars is because we had to wait an hour for a table. Not a huge deal, it was a Sat night. my bf and I strolled through the mall for a half hour till they text us to let us know the table was ready.(which btw is awesome) The complimentary chips are salsa are SO good, I could get full just eating them! Other things that were good, beef empanadas, cheesey delish goodness, and the mango peach margaritas.
