After looking at the work more carefully, I completely have to edit my initial review and downgrade my rating.(I wrote my 1st review right after I got my car back from the shop, when it was dark and rainy, so I didn’t have a chance yet to see what happened; I also didn’t expect to see what I am describing below). My husband brought his car there before I realized what happened to my car. Both our cars suffered badly from rough handling. On my car, the paint on almost every edge was polished down, many times all the way to the bare metal. Both cars showed other paint damage such as multiple chipped areas. My husband’s car is actually rough to the touch on the top. While paint was removed from my car, cleaning material residues have remained in many areas. We have had our cars detailed, polished, and waxed many times before at other places, but we have never seen anything like this. The irony is that the owner was fully aware that my vintage car still had it’s original paint on(the paint was beautiful). Now, I have to spend money for never before required ‘touch up paint’ and much time trying to prevent rust where the detailing crew removed the great original paint. Despite my efforts, my car won’t be and look as before. Rust comes easily in Vermont, it already started eating on my car where the company took off the paint. How can a company carelessly remove paint when they are asked to polish and wax a car to *protect* the paint? If you like your car, don’t take it to this place unless you can convince the owner to use extraordinary care. We won’t risk further damage to our cars and won’t be back.
