Fired Up Pizza

Tried Fired up Pizza for a 2^nd time. Sadly, it was worst than the first time. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

Pizza was alright, nothing to «write home about». I had hoped this was going to be wood-​fired pizza with a name of «Fired Up Pizza», sadly it was not. Apparently the only thing «Fired Up» is the décor which is firefighter themed and kind of cool. I will cut them a little slack since they just opened on February 22^nd. But here is my breaking point, if you are unable to get a thin-​crust pizza cooked all they way through — maybe pizza was the wrong choice. They claim the following in their description here on Unilocal: «exquisite pizza unlike any you’ve ever tried» — personally I believe they missed that mark by a very wide margin.
The large pizza was pretty good size and priced at 11.95 with one-​topping. Honestly I would have been happier with a Papa Murphy’s pizza I had to cook myself. The chili-​cheese fries made with homemade style red chili were passable — assuming you like carrots in your red chili — but I do not see myself ordering them again. One of the staff did mention that the green chili is better. Not sure I would try the pizza again maybe some of the pasta or sandwiches if there is a next time. It just worries me that if their «signature» dish is executed so poorly what that might indicate for the rest of the menu. Hopefully they will at least take my comment about the doughy middle of the pizza to heart.
They have unusual hours so be sure to take a look before heading over and they are not open on Sundays. Seating is quite limited as they have removed all the seating on the north inside of the building — which they are intending to convert into a meat market.
