Java point has been our go to spot since we moved here about 7 months ago. My husband even arranged a very special anniversary breakfast with them. They are always smiling and have great service. Yes, you may have to wait sometimes but it’s always amazing food!

The Huevos rancheros are incredibly beautiful and delicious. Cute little hole in the wall café. The servers are sweet and polite.

I love this little café! They even have longanisa(Filipino breakfast sausage) on the menu. LOL There were so many items to choose from but I decided on the crab omelet and added avocado to it and it was delicious! The potatoes that came with it were decent. We also ordered their signature lattes. I love the little designs they make. The reason I gave this place 4 stars is because it took forever for us to get our food, but other than that this is a great breakfast/brunch place to go if you’re ever in Benicia. After eating there you can take a walk down to the water or browse the many shops around.

Java Point Café isn’t something one finds in the big cities. not saying much. haven’t been looking in the right places. omlettes and panninis have innovative ingredients, not the usual benedict nor 2. 3 eggs, any style, brew: mexican organic coffee(med roast, m. 1.85) neapolitan expresso –friendly, quick smiling service –coffee smooth, almost silky, better than the chains… drips: –surprised this place isn’t packed. –in and out, 10ish tables, –witnessed several satisfied omlette-wores –ambience comfy, casual, felt relaxed once inside. –will return some day.

As all reviews state their is a wait time. Buuuuuuutthey don’t tell you how worth it it is. We arrived around 9:30am. The place was busy. Outside and inside were packed. We weren’t sure where we’d be sitting but a table inside opened up. I ordered an iced coffee with pumpkin pie flavor and berry waffles and my Friend ordered the banana walnut waffles with a vanilla latte. It was about ten minutes before we received our drinks but it was worth it. The foam art of the latte was adorable and the iced coffee has ice made of coffee so it never waters down. The flavors were perfect and the latte art was an amazing sweet touch. Their espresso bar is not like the ones you find in your local Starbucks where they push out lattes in less than a minute. No this place makes sure each latte, and iced coffee is made with a social touch you don’t get anywhere else these days. As for the food I loved my berry waffle and my friend enjoyed her banana walnut waffle. Basic sure but they make everything fresh and it’s just the simplicity that made our experience so nice. As for the customer service everyone was smiling and having fun. Tables were being cleaned as fast as they could because customers grabbed seats in perfect rotation. This is definitely a come up and order at the counter kinda place and find your seats after. They also have an impressive baked goods filled case. Highly recommend that everyone gives it a try!

Great little breakfast place. Four stars because it usually takes 30+ minutes to get your(fairly basic) food and it is slightly over priced for being a small café. Pros: bottomless coffee, outdoor seating, served hot! Cons: ran by teenagers, slow, pricy, small portions

Came here the other week with my friend. Ordered two lattes, the eggs benedict, and the crab melt. Sat outside on the patio. The lattes were ONPOINT. If you read my other reviews, you’ll see that I’m pretty choosy about my lattes, so that says something. I thought the food was great too. I didn’t care for the celery on the crab melt, but that’s my fault for not noticing that was listed in the ingredients. Eggs benedict were on point. I don’t know what seasoning they use on the potatoes, but it was delicious! The inside was cute, but definitely sit outside if the weather allows and you can find a spot. It’s a quiet area of the street and it’s so relaxing!

Good things: Patio to sit on, self serve coffee station, and friendly staff. Areas to improve on: Food– potatoes were luke warm and tasted weird. I had a crab omelette, probably my first mistake, but it was pretty much flavorless crab stuffed into an egg omelette. Did not have any other veggies in the omelette, and the crab was dried out and slightly charred. They also forgot to give us our side order of bacon. Summary: if you go there, enjoy the patio and coffee. But don’t order a seafood omelette, other omelettes are probably fine.

So we go in here based off pretty good ratings and decent looking pics. The place probably seats about 20 people and there were open tables inside and outside. You place your order at the counter and I guess they bring it to you. So I ask for an order of pancakes and the girls reply was«do you mind waiting 30 minutes?» I was like«30 minutes?» She says yes we are very busy. I observed about 7 people behind the counter. Maybe that’s about half of the customers. So trying to give her another shot, I say«30 minutes for pancakes? Are you over estimating just in case?» She says«no, most of these people don’t have their food yet.» Hear me out here… this place is VERY small. I looked around and half had their food. I just left. I hear her say«thank you» in the distance. Business owners don’t know how to properly train people in customer service and basic etiquette anymore. We went down the street and had a quite different and delicious experience at 907. Never let money walk out the door when the street is saturated with many and better options.

Brunch is probably my favorite meal of the day and so I was very excited to try this place when I found out there was a brunch spot near my place! The café is located at the perfect spot for brunch: well populated street, with a nice stroll down the street towards the water! The café is a bit small so groups greater than 5 for brunch may not be the best here but they do take to go orders. The café is decorated with hand painted art that is unique and really gives the café its unique vibe. And the food? Delicious! Their sandwiches and panini are made to perfection with a good blend of meat, veggies, and seasoning/sauces. They have either a potato salad or pesto pasta salad for the side. BOTH are amazing! Simple side dishes that are made very well with great flavor! Would definitely come back again.

I’ve been meaning to give this place a try again. My first time here, I didn’t really enjoy it because I found hair in my food. In addition, I did I really enjoy the food. But this place is highly rated and my friends love this place, so clearly I needed to try this place again to see if I just had a bad experience that day or if that experience would be reflective of all my time here. I again ordered the eggs benedict. I’m still ambivalent about the use of croissants(meh), but at least I got the chance to enjoy my eggs benedict without a hitch this time. In doing so, I realized that the eggs were perfectly cooked! They were soft with the right amount of yellow runs. The hollandaise sauce was also perfect! Overall, great order! My friends ordered huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito. Didn’t get to try either of their orders, but no complaints from them so I’m assuming they were at least decent. Lastly, I still can’t complain about the ambiance of this place. I love the outside patio– just hanging out with good people and food while enjoying the beautiful California sun. It’s also always great to people watch in Benicia! Note: I’m not giving the place five stars even though I gushed about the food because I’ve had better eggs benedict elsewhere.

«A quaint downtown Benicia café». This café has been around since I was in middle school. Even though I am no longer a Benicia resident, I am always happy to see this café is still open, when I come back to town. It’s the perfect place for a breakfast or brunch out after a jolly stroll on Benicia’s historic 1st Street. The café may be small, but it serves some grand breakfast dishes, pastries and specialty coffee drinks. The customer service is fast and friendly. It’s a cozy café with comfy seating. In the mood to sip coffee and people watch or gather with some friends or family? This is the perfect spot! It’s spots like this that give Benicia so much character. I am proud that I got to grow up in this lovely town. It’s fabulous that local businesses like Java Point Café grace their presence in this small, waterfront town!

No complaints about this ma and pa café for brunch! I came here with friends and split a Lox Eggs Benedict and Berry Waffle. You pay at the register first then sit either inside or outside. The eggs benedict was served on a croissant, which was a first and i loved it! The potatoes were mad fresh, i could taste the soil(lol). The waffles were also really good as I had a bit from my friend. They have a lot of street parking and some in the back.

Finally had a chance to visit this small town gem! Java Point is located on First St. close to the waterfront, so after enjoying coffee you can stroll along the water. We had a soy milk latte, café bianco, which is like a white chocolate latte, and a house coffee. The soy latte was strong and was decorated with foam art while the café bianco was like a dessert — so sweet and delicious with whipped cream and garnish. Free refills on house coffee. I’ll have to return to try to Filipino breakfast!

Been here a few times and each time is great. Service is good and food is better. Crab omelette is awesome! Wife does the eggs Benedict. Make sure you have time, food usually takes awhile, but it’s fresh and tasty. Had to change a to go order after they made it, they kindly made my new request with no hassle. I appreciate great service! This will be my go to breakfast spot!

We were very excited to come here. We drove about 20 minutes hoping to eat the best waffle in the Bay Area. Eh. Nothing will be the Swiss Café in Carmel, but we had higher hopes. The waffle was very dense and not something I’d order again. I had the portobello mushroom grilled sandwich. The mushroom was very thick and chewy. It was impossible to eat it like a sandwich; way too messy. We also ordered the Italian Scrambler, which was good I’m told. Coffee was good. Service was very good. We both said at the end«Not a place I’d come back to, but good to try once».

This is my spot for breakfast. One of my friends found this cute little coffee shop 5 years ago and I always come back. She knew I was a big eggs benedict fan and read reviews about java point café. The service is always excellent. I’m pretty sure it’s family owned by this really nice Filipino family. They’re always so sweet and welcoming. Anyway I’ve only ordered the eggs benedict but that’s seriously all you need to try. Instead of using a English muffin, they use a croissant. BESTIDEAEVER. I’m not a big fan of a burnt crunch English muffin and the croissant just melts in your mouth. The poached eggs are on point(and that’s a big compliment coming from me considering I usually order with scrambled egg whites). It also comes with your choice of a side, either home fries or fruit salad. Overall really great place for breakfast. It’s kinda far from where I live but I’ll make a trip out to Benicia just for this place!
