I was given a recommendation to Elizabeth by a few people and I can see why. She is professional, polite and prompt. Fortunately for me she was available to do a last minute sewing job that I was hoping for and even had it done before the time anticipated. I am grateful for her vision and manifestation! Now it is my turn to recommend her and I highly do!

I went to Elizabeth about three times, and I would recommend her 100% of the time to every one that need to get something tailored. Shes really good at what she does and her pricing is really reasonable, but way much cheaper then going to a dry cleaners. She is really friendly, she the best seamstress that I found and I will keep going to her, I got my sister and friends that gone to her, she the best :)

Beyond disappointed, and seeing all of these good reviews makes me even more disappointed. This lady was recommended to my mother to have a dress done for my wedding. She approached her with a design two months ago with more than enough time to get a dress done, which she said was an «easy dress» to make and it would be finished the first week of August. During this time, she has not communicated to my mother whether or not the dress would be complete, and by the time that the first week of August comes, my mother has to call her with no dress to show. Since then she has been trying to set a time to fit the dress, but the seamstress keeps making excuses not to see her or pushing it back closer to the wedding. It is now the week of my wedding THIS SATURDAY and my mom finally sees the dress TODAY for the first time and it looks so poorly made. ONE it looks nothing like the photo she sent, but even so TWO not even nice enough to wear anywhere! The waistline is crooked, the seams are popping out all over the place, at this point I’m not even sure if she attempted to make it look nice. This left her in tears, as she is THE MOTHER OF THE BRIDE and really gave her the benefit of the doubt and expected her to deliver a beautiful dress even though she was late but did not. Extremely disappointed in the poor communication and not being able to deliver the dress in time.

I typically don’t write to many Unilocal Reviews but I really wanted to give a shout out to Liz Daniel for the wonderful creative job she has done for me. I have been using Liz for years from covering cushions to hemming pants. I am so happy with her job and her prices are very reasonable.
I have referred many friends and family and I would recommend anyone looking for someone to help with any design and sewing jobs!!!

Elizabeth has done two projects for me so far and both have been done to perfection. The first was redoing upholstery on two lounge chairs and they turned out beautiful. The second and most important was a hideous bridesmaid dress. This Dress was awful, really awful and she turned it into a lovely (even though the color was the worst) dress that flattered my body and made the dress as beautiful as it could be! I couldn’t be more pleased with her work! She is great and a joy to work with! You could bring her anything and she will work her magic! You won’t be disappointed! Thanks again Elizabeth! Your a life saver :)

I have acquired a love for vintage Pendleton shirts. However, I prefer short sleeves rather than long sleeves, and I think I look better in shirts with a tapered fit at the waistline. I was given a very strong referral to Elizabeth Daniell by a friend and decided to see if she could modify these fine wool shirts into ones that were perfect for me. She spent considerable time discussing my ideas with me and planning the methods to achieve my goals. She has modified about two shirts a week for me for the past month and every one is perfect. I can’t wait to pick up the latest batch of shirts. It’s like Christmas! I look forward to wearing the latest examples at office meetings or going out weekend evenings. (I’m not narcissistic, right?) Elizabeth’s price for doing her fantastic work always makes me think «Is that all?» In fact, she’ll do lots of little extras without charge at all — fix a tear, replace a button, stick flaps together so the shirt looks good when worn unbuttoned, etc. Elizabeth is truly Five-​Star!

Liz altered my gown at the very last minute — did a wonderful job! It worked perfectly!

Because you can’t recall the incident, I’m left having to defend my review. The pictures should make it clear. I’m not happy having to take more of my time on this, but I want my Unilocal reputation to remain intact.
When I picked up the dress, I paid you. It wasn’t until I got home and took the plastic off that I noticed both the puckering and the stains. When I brought it back to you we discussed the options and you told me the puckering could not be fixed without taking the seam in more which would result in it being too small for me. You admitted you hadn’t seen the stains but agreed it could have been water from your iron. You suggested I wear the dress anyway — something I wasn’t going to do. Then you offered me a cheap dress that had been your daughters to wear. I’m in my fifties. You never offered to refund my money and I didn’t ask. I just wanted out of there.

My daughter bought her dress last minuet for Homecoming court. Liz was able to hem the dress within a couple days. She did a fabulous job.

This review is overdue but worth the wait! Liz is a lifesaver! Sounds like she’s helped out others in a pinch as well!
I came to her last minute with a bridesmaid dress emergency and she pulled off the impossible. My first dress was made 2 sizes too small and I didn’t realize it until 5 days before I had to fly out for the wedding. The dress shop sent me a «replacement» dress… the only one they had in stock was in the exact color but 2 sizes larger than I needed and it was full length and strapless. Liz completely transformed my full length dress into a knee length dress, took it in and added straps to make it look like the original dress style I had ordered. She did this all within 24 hours and her rates were beyond reasonable for this rushed request! She is amazing and I’d take any future project to her without a doubt!

Elizabeth Daniell was my saving grace!!!
After my horrible wedding shop in Sacramento didn’t have my wedding dress here until 3 weeks before my big day I was terrified that my dress wouldn’t be done in time and that my alterations would cost me a fortune. I called Elizabeth and explained my situation to her and what I would need done. A week later I was at her home with my dress and was completely confident she would get the job done, and she did! I had a bustle, hem, heart sewn in, corset adjusted and waist tightening all done by her! My dress was amazing and fit perfectly! I don’t think I will ever be able to thank her enough!

Elizabeth has fixed, altered or improved many items for me, including a quilt, jeans, blouse, slacks, seat pillows, vintage suitcase lining, party dress, and probably more than I am forgetting. She is timely, fairly priced and pleasant to work with. She has a pick up location if you are not near Benicia, and I believe she will deliver. She can do just about anything with a sewing machine and fabric. Highly recommend.

I have known Liz for many years and her work is truly exquisite. She is a good listener, communicator and readily available to discuss your needs. My ongoing development project has entailed rather significant adjustments that she has accommodated on a moments notice in spite of a very busy schedule. Thank you, friend!

Liz has been my daughter’s sewing tutor for almost a year, and she does a fantastic job. She is patient, knowledgeable, always available (even on short notice), and has everything a student needs to learn quickly, plus her rates are excellent. Liz has always been there for us in a pinch.
