I wish I could post 10 stars for Char. She is talented, so kind, and she always listens! This sweet salon is a joy to visit. I’m so happy with Char and Changes that I asked my husband to become a client.

What a great experience at Changes! I called and got a same day appointment, and when the gal I was scheduled with ran behind schedule Char were kind enough to call and fit me into her schedule. She was so nice and helped me figure out what would work best for my hair and gave me ideas for future styles (aka what to do if I wanted to grow it out, different colors, etc!). The price was pretty good for the Bay Area also.
Overall so happy with my entire experience and I will be returning for my next appointment!

Monica is wonderful! She got me in right away for a cut (which needed fixing) and color. She really listened to my concerns about my hair. First, I have always had trouble with dye soaking into my skin at my hairline — she made SURE that didn’t happen, and she’s colored my hair twice now. She also added really pretty highlights and long bangs per my request this last cut — and the result is great! Just what I wanted, even though I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted when she started. Now THAT is a professional! She is super-​competent, but also friendly and funny — a really lovely person. The salon is spotless and pretty and relaxing, and the price is right, too! Give Changes a try — you won’t regret it!

Monica has got to be the greatest human to exist! She really knows about hair! Il be going back again and again! Thank you so much monica this new hair style has made my year!

I visited your salon in person last Thursday. Monica recommended her mother, Rebecca for color. Left three messages with Rebecca and I never heard a word back. So, I contacted another salon.
Pretty poor customer service.

This hair salon is great if you want highlights… But unfortunately that’s not always everything I want with my hair.
The first time I got a cut it wasn’t what I asked for but just a little trim, no side bangs like I asked. When I had her dye my hair from all the blonde highlights to brown there were parts of my hair missed and not dyed. (I ended up dying my hair myself)
The second time I got a cut, I decided to go very short (I had long hair) and about 10 inches taken off. My hair was put in a pony and chopped… I wanted side bangs and lots of layers and what I got was what looked like a crooked A-​line grown out. It’s been 6 weeks and I am still trying to grow my hair out enough to go get it fixed. One side of my hair shows chopped layers and the other side none. The back of my hair is so uneven I have to excessively curl it inward to make it go as unnoticed as possible. As far as the bangs, I ended up fixing what she had done.
Very disappointed. My first couple appointments for the highlights I thought I had finally found my hair salon.

So last week I went to Changes on a spur of the moment haircut. But more like a hair chop. I called in earlier in the day and Monica was more than happy to schedule me as her last client of the day. Upon arrival I’m greated by first name although I had never met her before. Definite plus. Monica sat me down and asked what I was looking for. I showed her a picture, voiced my concerns regarding my round face and an a line bob and she shared her ideas. I was willing to go with the chop off of about 10 inches. It definitely turned out awesome! I love my hair and I plan on going back to see Monica for all of my haircut needs!

I had an ambrey done for the first time. Monica was my hair dresser. She was great. She helped me figure out what exactly I wanted to do with my hair, made some corrections so my hair would look nice, and she carries a good conversation (I find this important). This small salon was just what I was looking for.

Since moving, I have been looking for a hair salon for awhile and finally found one! Many thanks to Monica who took good care of us and we were both thrilled with our haircuts… She listened to what we wanted and delivered! Oh, and they also take walk ins which is very handy for when it is a last minute decision on my part to get my hair cut. Highly recommended!

I Love Rebecca, she is amazing, sweet and she knows what she is doing. I never have a need to tell her what I want, she just knows and that is refreshing. A+

I really can’t say enough about Char and her salon. My old stylist from another salon cancelled my appointment last minute and I called around town and Char was more than happy to squeeze me in on a Saturday afternoon! The salon is lovely and Char is patient, friendly and really listened to me as a client. It’s obvious she loves what she does and my hair and hilites turned out even more amazing than I had hoped! Char is beyond talented and from now on, I won’t trust my hair to anyone else but her and her salon!

Love Char and love Changes. Thanks for becoming a very important part of my life and keeping my hair in such a great easy style. Plus to think you are so close to home right in Benicia.

Went here on a whim based on other Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed! Char was a great hair stylist and worked really hard to give me exactly what I wanted. Not to mention the whole thing was reasonably priced! Definitely recommend!

A wonderful salon! Tasha and Laura are reasonably priced and really great stylist’s. Tasha has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 6 yrs and Laura takes care of my partners hair equally as well.
Parking is easy, their hours are flexible. A great bunch of gals!

This is a great hair salon. I just moved back to town and was looking for a quality salon to atleast make me feel comfortable like they do in The City. Having thicker than normal hair and beings typical male, I am always a bit apprehensive of trying a new place. I was a walk in and that didn’t seem to phase the lady in charge. The salon must be well recieved as it was busy, busy, busy. I had the sheer luck of Monica being my stylist. I am sure she could sense my nervous apprehension and walked me through, step by step, of what she had in mind for my hair style. Monica was professional and timely. The typical salon banter was soothing to me as I was timid to be around soo many beautiful women! I was expecting double the price for the hair cut as I would expect at any salon in The City, but was pleasantly surprised that i was only spying $ 30 for a quality hair style and shampoo. Overall, quality craftmanship, great prices, gorgeous women (especially Monica, Hot!), lively atmosphere, and accepts walk in.

I’ve been going to Tasha for over 4 years now and it’s always a great experience. My hair looks the best it ever has & I get so many compliments thanks to Tasha’s handiwork. All the ladies at the shop are great! Always a great vibe as well which is important to me.
Since Tasha has been out for almost a year (due to ski accident), I’ve been seeing Laura — and she’s AWESOME.

Love my Changes hair studio — the owner Tasha has been doing my hair for years… consistent, good prices, clean, fun.
Laura takes quite a few walk-​ins. Laid back, cool place to get your hair did.
