The most underrated Mexican food in bend. I’m from Los Angeles and moved here a year ago. After going to a couple highly rated/recommended placed like spork and Parilla I was dissapointed. Then, on a hungry whim, I wemt to taco salsa. Probably the most traditional hole in the wall Mexican food that matched what I was craving for. The atmosphere isn’t great. The service isn’t overly friendly or spunky. The guacamole isn’t very good. But this place is also the only place I’ve found some decent Adobada. If you like organic whole bland food then you probably won’t like this place. But if you like some down and dirty Mexican food that’s the most similar to a Southern California hole in the wall. Here it is.

Probably the best Mexican street food you’re going to find. Except the rolled tacos, those taste like they came from Costco. Other than that, this place is excellent.

I’m giving this a place a two because for the most part, I love the taste of their food. The downside is, I’ve gotten sick after I’ve eaten there EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I even tried different foods after getting sick the first 3 times. After 10 times, I called it quits. My body can’t take being sick and having to plan to be sick the next day.

Good food, crappy service. Food(got a beef taco and a bean and cheese burrito) tasted fresh and was delicious. Nice big size and good quality for the price. However, I was very disappointed in the service. The girl at the counter looked distracted(there were only two customers in the store), didn’t give back my change(20¢ but still) even though I counted out what I gave her and I was not offered a receipt. Very abrupt. Would like to see a change if I come again in the future.

I’m from LA. I’ve lived there for 20 years. This place is as good as it gets for Mexican street food. All the salsas were spot on, the sautéed peppers excellent, lengua, avo-carnitas, and fish tacos delicious. The kids working here are super nice and awesome. Don’t expect cuisine style or setting and you’ll be fine. Eat here now. This coming from someone that’s tried countless mex trucks and stands in LA :)

This place is great for quick and relatively good Mexican taqueria style food. There is a drive through that is open almost 24 hours a day. The burritos are a good size and I love the salsas. Just be careful with complex orders because it can be a crapshoot as to whether or not they will get your order exactly right if it is complex. Ultimately I am stoked to have Taco Salsa as a quick and easy option for burritos and occasionally other items like chile rellenos.

I cannot really wrap my mind around how this place occupies such a prominent and central corner in Bend and how it could possibly make enough money to be there considering it’s a ghost town. Ambiance black hole. Crappy food. Only if you’re drunk and hungry at 3am would I eat there. Hot Pockets are better.

This is the place to go to get fantastic Mexican food! It is inexpensive, and delicious. If you are looking for a fine, sit-down place with a waiter, go somewhere else. If you want great food, inexpensively Taco Salsa is your place. They do have tables and booths for eating in but you will have to pick up your food once it is ready and get your own condiments from the fresh salsa bar. Try the carne asada burrito and try to tell me you had a better one somewhere else.

For the cost and convenience this place is great! Burritos are tasty, service is friendly and quick. It’s one of the few places in Bend that is open past midnight(3am every night, 4am on Fridays and Saturdays), which I really appreciate being a night owl who just moved here from a bigger city. It’s not the greatest food ever, but highly satisfying and definitely good bang for your buck.

Taco Salsa doesn’t pop up as one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Bend but I know my Mexican Food. They serve up some tasty food and its not your typical mediocre stuff. All Salsa’s are freshly made. The Fish Tacos are great and so are the enchiladas. Everything is priced reasonably. If you’re in a hurry you can call and order ahead and they also have a drive through. Highly recommended.

Open until 3AM! These guys have great customer service with a great hot sauce bar to satisfy most. Their food is great, but not the best Mexican food I’ve had. The good thing here is consistency. For the price, the food and service exceed my expectations.

The most authentic and best Mexican food in Bend. Far more authentic and tasty than other faux Mexican places like Taco Del Mar and Longboard Louie’s. I have had most of their tacos, burritos and tortas and all have been very good. I am particularly fond of their carnitas. Service is always fast and friendly. I would recommend Taco Salsa very highly.

Just your average small«hole in the wall» mexican restaurant. Nothing special. Once a Dairy queen, now a taco place. though they offer other things like burritos and enchiladas. Plus a salsa bar. This place is closer to taco Del mar then an actual mexican restaurant. I liked them but they wernt anything special. The coke machine was out of ice and they had to give me ice from the drive though. Also the cashier, whom looked to be the mananger wasn’t too happy to give my order but was real happy when a hispanic lady came in after me. Go figure. The lady who gave me ice was nice though.
