History

Established in 2014.

Sip Wine Bar in Bend, Oregon was opened up in November 2014 by local Bend-​ites Brad and Emy Sanchez.

Business Owner

Brad was born and raised in Portland and moved to Bend 12 years ago to open up a heating and cooling company. Emy was raised in Prineville and has also lived in Bend for the last 12 years working in marketing for Les Schwab Tire Centers and wine importing for Elixir Wine Group. Brad and Emy love wine and opened Sip Wine Bar on Galveston Avenue to share their philosophy of making wine fun and approachable for everyone in a comfortable, neighborhood environment.

Family wine tour in Bend and so far our favorite! The grilled sandwiches are lovely accompianments to the plethora of flight choices. We also were delightfully surprised by the outdoor seating area complete with a gas fireplace and padded circular couch. The staff were friendly, warm, and very helpful. My only frustration is that I don’t live in Bend to visit more often.

I’ve been going here more and more this summer and learning up appreciate wine more as a result. I feel like they have really stepped up their game in creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I love the outside patio. It’s like being at a friends house for a back yard BBQ.
This is my new favorite wine bar in town! I’d like to see a bit more on the menu but what they do offer is always delicious!

Awesome spot! Intimate little wine bar with a great wine selection, cool outdoor patio, great flights and very friendly staff… Meredith was helping us and she was super cool. They also have a small beer & liquor selection, I highly suggest you try the vermouth drink… it’s unreal. Easy to find on the corner of Century & Galveston, if in Bend, you must go here!

A great place to spend a delightful afternoon with the ones you love. We came last Friday around 5 pm, at first sat close to the fire pit later at the bar. Got the most amazing service from Katie. Accompany the red wine ordered the dates, which were delicious, right temperature, great texture

First time here. The place is darling with a great atmosphere. I ordered the champagne flight and savored every SIP!
The table next to us ordered a cheese platter which looked incredible. We weren’t hungry but I will definitely plan on ordering that next time.
Glad to have this little gem as an option for Friday or Saturday date night.
It gets a bit loud but if you like to people watch its great. Just sit back, relax and you will definitely enjoy yourself.

Darling cottage setting and a lovely staff. We own a local bakery and are so glad to see other small businesses giving it all they’ve got and succeeding so well. Had a great «girls night» here not long ago, and the sparking wine flight was so much fun that we each had to have one.
Can’t wait for warm weather to sit out in the patio area. Good on ya, Sip! Keep up the great work.

Ahhhh… YUMM. Just a perfect place to meet friends for a great glass of something perfect and some nibbles. The owners were there and engaged so it felt like having happy hour in a friends living room.

This is a new business in Bend. I want to help promote them; it’s very hard to open a new business from scratch. This used to be a real estate office, so they had to renovate and spend a lot of sweat labor and money to get it going. This is the winter-​ish time of year, so it’s important to drum up business for them. Please drop by and help support your local folks. We used to own Bend d’Vine (before it was bought by Chocolate Element) so we know what it takes to start a new wine or any type of service business.
