Oregon Ski Guides is a division of Timberline Mountain Guides that specializes in backcountry ski trips, instructional courses and guided ski descents of peaks in Oregon in Washington. We are based in Bend, Oregon and we have been a Central Oregon company since 1983. All of our guides have received American Mountain Guides Association training. We take pride in our programs and hope you will come join us for a ski trip this season. From mid-​Winter powder skiing below treelike to skiing off volcanic summits in the Summer, our trips span the full continuum of the ski experience.

History

Established in 1983.

Timberline Mountain Guides was founded in 1983 as a rock climbing and mountaineering service. In the year 2000 it was taken over by Pete Keane, who is an AMGA/​IFMGA Mountain Guide. For years he guided ski descents off of mountains throughout the Pacific Northwest. In the year 2010, the Oregon Ski Guides division was officially formed to create amazing ski experiences in the backcountry of Central Oregon. We have since grown to provide AIARE avalanche education, introductory backcountry skiing trips and Spring ski-​mountaineering from December through June most years.
