History

Established in 1999.

The Lubbesmeyer Studio & Gallery, owned by twin artists, opened in Minneapolis, MN in 1999. After developing their relationship as collaborative artists, the Lubbesmeyer twins began exhibiting their unique, abstract expressionistic art around the country. In 2002, the Lubbesmeyers moved to the Old Mill District in Bend, OR, where they opened their working studio and gallery for visitors to view finished as well as work in progress. The Lubbesmeyer Twin’s collaborative art, which emphasizes contemporary depictions of landscapes and architecture, have been on exhibit at US Embassies around the world. Their award winning work can also be found in national galleries as well as in permanent collections in hospitals, corporations, museums and private locations around the world.

In 1999 the Lubbesmeyer Twins chose to collaborate as artists, and by applying their individual fine art skill sets, developed a method of working together that is unique to the art world both in process and result. Since combining their artistic abilities, they have received numerous awards, and their work is shown in galleries and museums, and is held in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and world. Since 2002, the Twins have located their art studio and gallery in Bend, Oregon, where they welcome visitors to view the finished work as well as works in progress.
