Flatbread Community Oven

They had good food and a decent list of appetizers. Although they don’t have an exhaustive list of draft beers, they have quite a few good local beers. I loved the place, the vibe and the people that attend to you. One of them was super nice even at their crazy hour.

Impressed! Very cool place! Service was excellent, welcomed by someone the moment we walked in the door. Server was very knowledgable and helpful in assisting us with our food choices. We chose the authentic Italian pizzas. They were ready in 5 mins and superb. Flavorful and fresh! The cook even took the time to say hello! This place is fantastic and a must visit! It’s not your run of the mill pizza joint, they have the run of the mill stuff if u want it but they offer a culinary treat to your tastebuds! With a side of top notch customer service! Kudos and highly recommended! Thank you for a great experience!

Only minor complaint… music is WAY too loud. Our waitress thought so before we even said anything, turned it down immediately. Restaurant could easily get away with jazz or a more encompassing choice of music. Worth a visit. You won’t be sorry!

The food is always good but we miss the occasional live music, and the fresh baked cookies for our kids. Sometimes losing those little things are what takes a place from special to alright.

This place was all and more that is said on Unilocal!This was THE BEST service and food we’ve had in a long time! Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. He really made it easy and enjoyable to figure out how to satisfy 4 tween/​teenagers to agree on the toppings — and still keep our costs down (Christmas time and all). He suggested we could split the pizzas in half, with different toppings from the menu on either side. Perfect!
Our waiter (and I am annoyed that I can’t remember his name right now — blond, nice, green plug in his left ear) was really on his game. Spot on with keeping our waters full, and with checking with us. Really great at his job. Awesome. You really don’t see outstanding service anymore, it seems. So, Kudos, blond awesome waiter-​dude!
So, we waited only about 10 minutes, and out came out food! Super stoked about the short wait time — they were very busy, too! Out came the most delectable, non-​greasy, (who knew you could have that much meat on a pizza, and barely have any grease?!) tasty food! Seriously Tasty Food! Everyone was commenting on how good their pizzas were, and how yummy the flatbread was, too.
My daughter got the Caesar salad with chicken. The homemade dressing that was on it was so good! She ate every bite, along with a piece of pizza, because of how much we were all commenting on it! Haha.
Have to say, from beginning to end, this was our favorite food and service that we have had in years. (We also travel quite a bit — and try out new restaurants all the time). This is a definite «bookmark» in my Unilocal app. Will absolutely come back to eat here when we are in Bend!

Went for happy hour. First, we had incredible service! Every employee we encountered was incredibly kind. The happy hour pricing was great! The food is really good. We got the chopped veggie pizzetta, which is an individual pizza. It was really tasty with goat cheese, asparagus and zucchini. We also tried the sea salt and Parmesan flatbread. This came with 3 dipping sauces and was huge for the price of $ 5.50! It was really good as well. Now, the regular menu prices are definitely a bit steeper but everything I saw come out of the kitchen looked really good and the salads look really fresh and large. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud. I would definitely come back!

We came here on our trip to Bend this past September. This looked like a classier variation of what you get at most traditional pizza places.
After much consideration, we decided to split the quattro formaggi D.O.C. neapolitan pizza. The pizza contained 4 types of cheese on a tomato sauce with garlic and fresh basil. It was excellent! We even had leftovers.
We will likely try to come back at lunch time to try the pick two lunch special and will have no hesitation in recommending Flatbread Community Oven to others visiting Bend. 5 stars.

Love this place! Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they sometimes get overwhelmed with the amount of tourists in the area and don’t have enough staff to keep up.

Go here often. Best kept happy hour around! Been meaning to Unilocal these guys because they deserve the good press/​review.
FB offers a great selection of craft beers to accompany killer salad (like chicken arugula) and appetizers like their mushroom and sausage flatbread with yummy reduced balsamic sprinkled on top. Their wine flights are also interesting, the Intense Red wine flight was fantastic with generous pours. The bar atmosphere and staff are great, also a great place to sit outside with your dog and enjoy an evening sunset. Food is consistently great, and the service is always friendly, informed, and very attentive. Definitely put Flatbread on your map — often!

This was our last meal during our stay in Bend and we were pleased with our choice. We sat in the outside dining area which gave us a nice view of the river and a spectacular sunset on the last day of summer.
I had the flatbread pizza with sausage, mushrooms and arugula drizzled with balsamic vinegar. It was a totally satisfying meal that didn’t make you feel that you over indulged (as with many hearty Italian meals).
My dining partner had the Margherita wood fired pizza with a local Sunriver IPA which was a good pairing.
If you’re in the Old Mill District of Bend, i recommend this place!

Came in on a Friday night after a day of soccer for the Bend Premier Cup. We had three hungry 13 year old players, another 13 year old, and two boys (ages 4 and 6), along with 4 adults.
Service was friendly. Drinks were brought quickly. Menus were explained, and orders taken without delay. The place was pretty busy, therefore it isnt exactly a quiet evening meal destination, but it was perfect for us!
The younger kids, and a couple of the teens ordered the «Make Your Own Pizza» option, and thought it was a blast. Another kid had the fettuccine, and loved it. The adult meals ranged from salad, to pizza, to meatballs and some GF offerings. One item was delayed from the kitchen and took a little longer to reach us, and it was immediately comped without having us ask for anything special. We will totally be coming back next time we are in the area.

We had lunch here w 4 children. The kids got a big kick out of making their own pizza. I ordered the 4 cheese pizza and the kale salad. My food was perfect. The kids loved it. The lunch prices were great. Our server was amazing! Try this place!

Great friendly service and great prices (coming from San Jose). We noticed many people in Oregon complaining about the Californians coming up to their state, but not at this restaurant. Hubby had the lasagne and was impressed with the sausage; I had the pepperoni, sausage and portabello pizza that was tasty as well. We were too full for dessert, but the chocolate chip cookie seemed very popular.
Impressively, every employee here seemed very happy, even on a hot day with lots of customers in the place. Loved the atmosphere and food.

This place has a great location close to the river and I hit it after an extreme SUPing session. «Extreme» mostly because I had problems staying upright and kept falling into the Deschutes, usually where the water was shallowish and the muck was at its muckiest.
Having been so extreme on the river, I arrived at FCO starving. THe menu has a great variety and I immediately honed in on some killer sounding sandwich that was meat topped with more meat. It was exactly what I wanted. And then I was told they were currently out of brisket.
My hopes crushed, we settled on a white pizza and, gosh, I can’t even remember the other thing we got. It was all right, but obviously totally unmemorable. Service was great and I didn’t get a second look for rolling in in the water logged state I was in.

This place was delicious and in a great location. Ordered the fondue to start which came with ample amounts of bread for dipping. Secondly, my daughter made her own pizza and they were quick to bring out her food. My husband and I shared the pick two lunch and one of our pizzas was a little too burned on the bottom for me. The other pizza turned out perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff. Always good to find a place that is kid friendly!

Good place to bring the kids, they can make their own pizza. They have outside seating so when «alive at 5» or the les Schwab is having a concert you have the perfect place to listen. You have a view of the river, if it gets chilly the patio is also heated. It’s a great atmosphere inside and out with good food.

The pizzetas had a strange taste to the dough. Reminded me of dough setting in a plastic container too long. Otherwise it was excellent!
Happy Hour was a great deal.

I love the food and the atmosphere here. The wood fired pizzas are amazing, the service is always terrific and the atmosphere is lively without being too loud somehow.
It’s great to watch them cook your pie right in front of you too. Honestly I’ve never been disappointed here with any of the food or service.
Full bar, excellent wines and delicious gelato bar for dessert! What more could you ask for?
I love going here when they have music, especially the JZ Band.

Outstanding service, fantastic pizzas, and excellent drinks.
We got half Diavola and half of a veggie one our first time plus an awesome Descheutes Reserve — staff was very attentive and personable. They made the experience. Crust has the perfect balance of crispiness and lightness/​fluffiness. All the ingredients are of the highest quality and they’re cooked perfectly!
Second time we each got our own pizzas and I got half margherita and half something else. Again, amazing. We also got wine flights this time and all three wines were excellent.
One of the highlights of Bend! Awesome fireplace, too.

Super cute restaurant in a nice shopping center. We were driving home (CA) from Washington and needed some lunch. Wish this place was nearby. Great selection of pizza and their kale salad was awesome!
