History

Established in 2015.

Cascade Kolaches was created from the owners passion for baking, cooking, and love for the Central Oregon lifestyle. After tasting savory kolaches for the first time in Houston, TX, owner Joel Ross decided to do his own take on the popular Czech-​style kolach, and create his own style of kolaches. Perfect for taking up to the mountain, for a mountain bike ride, or floating down the river, these gourmet ‘hot pockets’ are fresh baked every morning. Along with the savory kolaches are cheesecake poppers: fresh baked new york cheesecake, dipped in dark chocolate, then coated in a toasted graham cracker crust.

Business Owner

Born into a crazed foodie/​chocoholic family, I was taught the ways of the KitchenAid mixer long before I could walk or talk.

From California, to Texas, then eventually to Bend in 2011 and falling in love with the lifestyle of Central Oregon, it was hard not to be hooked on the food & beer culture.

After countless trips to Bachelor, lunch breaks for work, or floats down the Deschutes, it was always a struggle to find gourmet, inexpensive, and fast food to eat. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always appreciated good, quality food at a fair price. So I decided to combine my years of culinary achievements and create Cascade Kolaches, a food cart, where everything is $ 2.25 or less.
