AAA Bend Service Center

It’s been 5 years since I last got a TripTik done for a cross country drive and I am not sure all AAA centers are this bare-​bones service now or if its just Bend. At previous AAA locations I have visited, the agent would sit down and make the TripTik with us, showing us where there would be heavy construction, offer alternative route suggestions, and help figure out around where you would get to each night based on how many hours you anticipated driving each day. It took about an hour to do but it definitely helped increased my feelings of confidence and safety on the road. The AAA here just wanted to know our departure and destination city, and told us it would be ready in 24 hours. We gave them two days and they seemed surprised when we arrived asking for it. Turns out no one had made it. The woman whose pile it was in complained about having too much to do, making a big deal about how swamped she was, never apologizing to us at all — what she did do was resume chatting with her equally unhelpful colleagues while we waited for another one of her coworkers to throw it together. Paging through it after leaving, you can tell it only took 7 minutes to make. Hopefully using the AAA app will help, although it only has a 2 star rating on itunes. I am so sad about my experience here because all my other dealings with AAA have been excellent.

We went to the AAA in an effort to get assistance in planning a trip to New England for Fall. Elizabeth was absolutely priceless and I wish all customer service people tried to model their work ethic after her. What a gem!
