I get all my gardening needs from here. Staff is always helpful and the selection is wonderful.
You can easily spend a good hour just walking around eye shopping.

Amazing store. I shop the pet, gift store, and plants… All are top notch.

This place is the pride of town…& it just gets better. Warm, friendly, knowledgable staff… gorgeous stuff and a very cool, inspiring style.

They have a lot of items that will help you conserve on water during the drought. We found some smaller barrels for grey water storage as well as piping and hoses of various size.

Seriously love this store. Have been buying all my dog food and treats here for years. I think this year will be our 5^th straight for a Xmas tree as well. The awesome kitchen store is always fun and simply has an outstanding choice of items at very good prices. From cookware to canning and home brewing equipment and supplies to the feeds and gardening supplies this store is great. Stopped in today and had no trouble getting a hydrometer and food grade plastic bucket for my beer making and salmon oil for my dog. Found swing top bottles here, less expensive than at a local big name store.
The ladies and guys that work here are always super helpful and are happy to do so. And they have always been glad to help carry the big bag of dog food to truck when my back will not let me do it. Which is all the time now.
The kind of place you love having an excuse or reason to visit. Even if I don’t buy something, I will at least have a pleasant visit with a member of the staff.

Since writing my first review (4÷1÷212), I have seen a marked increase in customer service and support. The store is even better stocked than before, and ALL the staff is polite, friendly, knowledgeable. With regard to owner disposition, every one has an off day… or an off month.

Mountain Feed & Farm Supply is our local slice of heaven. The staff, the products, the atmosphere is phenomenal. I never had a less than stellar visit. We buy our garden, chicken and dog supplies here. Our dog is always welcome and treated as a canine customer :-)
I usually get a ton of tips and suggestions to my gardening and poultry questions. Since we recently got into canning and homemade preserves, this little place has become our go-​to stop for all things homesteading :-)

This place is truly a gem here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Beautiful plants, pet food, gifts, knick knacks, cooking supplies, so many great things. You can spend forever wandering around. Dr. Gary is also located here which is awesome! The staff is WONDERFUL! Always willing to help with anything. To the guy with the longish blond hair that helped me with my dog when he got spooked over his vet visit, THANK YOU! If you are in the area, this is a place to stop at!

This is such a special place! Everytime I go I could get lost in all of the cuteness! Great people, really helpful, super smart, reasonable priced and I always leave with a smile!

Terrific Store!
They have everything you would ever need for any kind of pet you may have, whether it be dogs, cats, birds, horses, bees (are they pets?) and probably more that I haven’t found yet.
Large variety of unusual plants that even I can grow!
There are a lot of gifty type things, tasteful pottery, sculptures, knickknacks which make perfect gifts. Also talavera pottery from Mexico!
The sales staff is super helpful and informative.
They really go out of their way to make sure the customers feel welcome and find what they are looking for.

I was in love with this place! I grew up in the valley and lately these great new stores are popping up. I was just going to a birthday party and had to stop in. I’m so happy I did!

Quite possibly the most awesome business I have ever visited in my life. They have a massive supply of everything farming and gardening related, as well as brewing, fermenting, pickling, baking cooking and pet supplies, not to mention a ton of new and old artistic sculptures, pottery, antiques and more! There is so much to look at, I could have stayed there all day! Friendliest staff on the face of the earth, this place is truly golden!

This is truly one of the best stores I know of in existence and my family and I have bought a great variety of things here, Gifts, plants, garden supplies, water tanks, tools, high quality pet items and so much more. The variety that this store has is unmatched even by larger stores. Mountain Feed & Farm Supply is clearly run well, all the employees are helpful and upbeat and I have always enjoyed coming in to shop. They can do special orders as well. As a strange bonus there is a affordable animal vet service located here as well. See you next time I need something specific or if I just want to check out any of the useful and rare items that can be found here.

I have watched this place grow over the years. Jorah *spelling?* has really gone out of his way to create a one stop all purpose show. Its amazing how many nooks and crannies of this place are full of amazing and cool creations!
Like even the soaps or the canning equipment. I got my cutting board there also. Oh and I attended a bee keeping class there. One day I learned about BARE ROOT roses. They have tons of classes and tons of resources to help learn more about all kinds of things.
Then the mountain vet is in back and I love Gary too! He helped my doggy get healthy when he recovered from a dog attack. He had me put him on cooked chicken with some probios for dogs and he is healthy now. Its been 4 plus years. Thanks Mountain Feed and Vet!

My wife and I drove over the hill from San Jose to have lunch and on the way back we stumbled upon this place. First, this place has some of the most unique merchandise. We spent about an hour the first day. The employees and owners are so friendly. Upon arriving one of the cashiers ask us if we would like a tour and shortly the owner gave us a personal tour. I forgot his name otherwise I would mention. We came back the next day to buy a pickling crockpot for preparation of sarmi around the holidays. This place is an adult candy shop. They have cheese making equipment and supplies. Minature still for making spirits. Wine and beer production supplies. Pet food and supplies. Huge garden area with unique plants, soils, organic fertilizers, hydroponic supplies, etc. I have never experienced such a place under one roof. Finally, all the feed and seed you could ever imagine.

Good old fashion feed and seed. Family owned and operated. Great prices, and huge selection. They have so many cool things there, that you’ll want to turn into a farmer! Everything from dog bones to bee keeping supplies. I bought my chickens here. Most of my garden vegetables. And everything I need for around my yard. Love these guys. 10 stars if I could.

My boyfriend and I bought our plants for our garden here. They were by far the healthiest plants we have. We got our other plants at different places and I honestly regret not buying all of them from here. We bought a pumpkin plant, and planted it 2 weeks after one we bought from another store and it has already surpassed the original one. Next year we will for sure be buying all our plants from this wonderful feed store.

Mountain Feed is best place to pick up garden supplies. Great selection of soil, starter plants, plant food /​vitamins, and pots /​containers. There is a great kitchen and canning shop.
Everyone that works here is knowledgeable and helpful. If the person you’re talking to doesn’t know for sure, they won’t BS you, they will grab quickly someone that better knows. I appreciate that 100 percent.
A great selection of pet supplies. They’re pet friendly, and there is even a cat that lives there. He’s shy, but friendly.
I only go to Mountain Feed to get gardening supplies and advice.

We came hear after hearing commercials on Kpig. Gotta say we LOVE this place! Nice nursery with paths intertwining all the buildings and shrubbery. Several Out buildings serve as a gift shop, feed store, pet store and kitchenwares. They have everything you need in one place. We’ll never go back to Bed Bath and Beyond.

If you love anything gardening, cooking, bee keeping, pet or gifts, you MUST stop here. I was tipped off to this hidden gem by my sister. From the street, this business is an unsuspecting wonderland of cool.
When we walked up, we got a full tour by one of the employees. She was beyond fantastic. Around each bend was something new or cool to see. I lingered in the cooking section enjoying the view of hand made flavored salts, cast iron cookware, and all sorts of interesting cooking tools. There were cookbooks, canning tools, and I’m sure I’m even forgetting some other things that they have in just that small section. Wow, just wow!
Next we walked through the back with the bare root fruit trees and citrus. They had common and uncommon varieties. Next we were delighted by the berries. Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries… even cranberries! But the excitement didn’t end there.
Next there was the room full of seeds. Okay, there are other things in that room like fertilizer but all I wanted to see where those seeds. Heirloom and organic seeds. Some common, some things I’ve never seen that I bought just for the «wow» or «cool» factor. Amish pumpkins, watermelon radishes, strawberry spinach, just to name a few.
Next we took a look into the gift shop. I’ll be honest, I didn’t spend a lot of time in there. More of the gifty stuff I was looking at was on the outside of the shop. I loved the colorful animal sculptures (and if the hubby is reading this, I love those chickens!) and metal wall decorations. It doesn’t stop there.
There’s a whole pet section. Dog and cat food. and other supplies. They had everything from the backyard gardener to the full on homesteading needs. Water tanks, bee keeping, and more.
I could have spent all day here but because I didn’t, I have a reason to come back. and I can’t wait!
