Ben Lomond Transfer Station

It’s a good dump. I was hoping you would have the hours of operation here

I’m only giving this place two stars because the first review persons gave it five stars and said it’s clean. It’s a dump, dumps are not clean it smells like dead rotten shit, floors are disgusting wet slippery slimy putrid. It;s a dump what do you expect, is gross and disgusting. But it does have the best prices for dumping. I seam t get out for about $ 16 everytime.

The Ben Lomond Transfer station is a clean, well run organization. Everyone is helpful and friendly and you can bring your recycles for a cash voucher you can redeem at Safeway (we all need food) or you can just donate them to the station.
They also have an area where you can purchase items that are being tossed but still have value. I have found that they almost always have something interesting in this pile.
You can also drive to the top and purchase mulch. It had an odor (kind of like a dump, swampy smell) but that odor left after about a week. You can bring wood trimmings, yard waste to this upper level and dispose of it and it will be turned into chips or mulch or compost.
Regulars to the dump know that you should bring gloves and a broom. Wear closed toe shoes that can get dirty and when you are done, you can wash your hands at the sink by the recycle station.
They also take paint and other items like that, but call first for the proper days to drop these off.
