I use this company for my move from VA to CA. As this move is my first experience, I taked several moving companies including Suburban Relocation. When I talked to Sales Manager of Suburban Relocation, Mr. Donald Winfrey, I got confident and decided to go with this company for move. Coincidently we got the same experience while picked up our stuff. Also they have storage option with mimimal charge. Combining all, we have very pleasant experience with this company and we strongly recommend to choose this company for move.

Used them again now for sister and even better then the first time, I actually requested the same crew to come and do the job I called jack directly, and again of course he was very helpful and I gotta say they are so nice over there they pay attached to every thing you say and really want you to feel good I have never really seen this kind of treatment before, anyway so Tito came again at my request did an amazing job nothing was damaged it went fast, he is like one of the strongest people I have seen also fixed my sink lol but that was not in the price that was for free. Thanks again

This is just the best moving company ever, I just want to thank victor the driver and Sharon on the phone with me the whole time.
First let me tell you I was relocating from here to California becouse of work so I set out to find a moving company mind you I have never used one before and I heard all these horror story’s about moving companies, I got many calls and many offers while trying to make sense of all of them I started talking to Sharon and let me tell you she had the most calming attitude and very helpful answring all of my questions.
Now for the move itself my for Forman victor just great taking his time and such good Care of my stuff especially my grand piano as well as making sure not to scrach my wooden floors, they were amazing on both loading and delivering. Thanks again guys picking this company is the best choice.

I would not use this company again. I did not have a pleasant experience with the movers upon pickup in VA. Suffice it to say it was resolved, but I found the interaction completely unprofessional and unnerving.
My goods were delivered nearly a MONTH to the day they picked up.
TIP: Set your first available date to the absolute earliest you can accept your goods (even if it’s unclear at the time.) They don’t even begin to count the «days in transit» until AFTER your first available date. Therefore, my first available delivery was a week after they picked up. You would think my goods would still be in transit during that week right? It wasn’t. I never got a clear answer, but I’m pretty sure my stuff didn’t even BEGIN to move until a week to 10 days after they has already picked up.
The movers who arrived in LA were great and efficient. I don’t believe they worked for Suburban because their truck had no company information on it. If it wasn’t for the movers in LA, this would have been a 1 star review. Maybe for local, small moves they would be recommendable… but not for long distance and I’ve moved across the country 3 times now.

This is the worst business of any kind. Completely incompetent staff, service and most importantly untrustworthy. I Spoke to Sam Rose, from La Crescenta, LA area. All sweet talk, boatload of BS. Guaranteeing services etc. booked me for Sunday afternoon for interstate move pickup. Then called me in afternoon saying truck is delayed and will show up at 6pm. When i called to confirm again at 530, him and his team informed me that they wont be able to do a pickup. I have a flight Monday morning 6am, with my apartment needed to be vacated on Sunday, with Sam and his lies ruining it for me. Now i dont have a storage unit, nor a rental truck to move my stuff anywhere. I had 40 other movers that had called, i wish i had just picked any one of them, blindfolded. Absolutely incompetent service. Bunch of Losers, no respect or value for other people’s time or the magnitude of the situation or consequence.
And Sam spoke about Unilocal,better business bureau and all other absolute non-​sensical BS on how good they were. People can be running late, or cancellations can happen, but to have me waste all sunday and keep me waiting till 6pm to inform me that they wont be picking up my stuff speaks of very low morals and character of how they run their business.

I was considering using Suburban Relocation Services for a move to Houston, from Denver. In the end, I decided against taking my furniture and did not need extra assistance moving. Jay, from the Denver office, was MORE than helpful and accommodating. He took plenty of time out of his days to assist me with my needs, tell me about promotions and follow up (but not in an annoying and pestering manner.) He was not bothersome or upset when I told him that I no longer needed their services. Although, I did not need the assistance of this company, I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for good people that are genuinely there to help!

This moving company did a great job with our move from MD to FL. I had a great experience with sales, customer service and the moving crews. They were prompt and professional. They took great care of our items and wrapped everything properly so nothing was damaged. We didn’t have to lift a finger. We used the 30 days free storage which was extremely convenient. I was also told the delivery window would be 4 – 14 days from my earliest possible date requested but was so happy when they ended up delivering on my exact date requested! I definitely recommend this company to others!

Prompt, professional– this company took great care in packing and shipping my items from CO to VA. The team did a great job, and I would definitely utilize their services again.

My parents were moving from Virginia to Texas but had to store their furniture for about 6 months while their new home was being built. They asked me to find a moving company for them. They are elderly and don’t speak English too well. I ended up contacting no less than 8 different companies. My first experience was with the Sales Staff (Don). He was very professional, and patient. I immediately felt a great comfort level with him. It also helped that Suburban Relocation’s pricing/​rates were extremely competitive. During the 6 months we kept our stuff in storage, their rates were excellent, and they even threw in the first month for free. During this phase I dealt primarily with Liz, a customer service specialist. She was incredibly friendly and accommodating. In fact, it was not unusual to call her at 9pm at night, and she would pick up her phone, because she was still working in office! Most companies use telephone answering services, or your calls hit a dead end with a recording regardless of the time you call. Not the case with Suburban. Somebody always seems to pickup the phone. If not, they’re very prompt about calling you back or responding to emails. Absolutely a first rate customer service experience. With Murphy’s Law in full effect, my parents closed on their home and scheduled delivery for February 2^nd. However, a massive snow storm hit the Mid-​Atlantic with approximately 30 inches of snow just prior to the anticipated delivery date. As you can imagine, the roads were shutdown for quite some time, and deliveries were backed up. This should have pushed back delivery for over a week. So I thought delivery wouldn’t happen until at least February 7^th or later. But Suburban (and Liz in particular) went the extra mile and got the delivery to arrive on February 3^rd! I was truly amazed at the lengths this company goes to satisfy their customers. Once the delivery arrived in Texas, the driver (Ludy) and his assistant were true professionals and extremely helpful. Although my parents don’t speak English too well, friendliness, respect, and courtesy are universal attributes. My parents called me as soon as Ludy left, and they intimated to me about the great service they received from the movers. Also, none of the items were damaged despite being in storage for 6 months, and traveling more than half way across the country. If I could give this review 6 stars instead of 5 (the maximum), I would!

I hope my review helps someone our there with the stress of having to find a competent moving company. It’s so hard to truly find a moving company that is trustworthy, reliable and professional. I would equate it to trying to find the right nanny almost, atleast in my case. A great deal of my furniture and items are antiques and are of sentimental value to me. This moving company is in my opinion the greatest ever! I’m not the easiest customer especially when it comes to leaving someone else in charge of my belongings. From beginning to end, they were incredibly professional but at the same time personable and helpful. I felt they really listened and addressed all of my concerns in a very thorough manner. Not once was I made to feel that I was pestering them or that my worries weren’t legitimate. From the Relocation Specialist to the crew that came the day of the move, it really couldn’t have been more seemless. My estimate was fair, the guys were on time and all of my items arrived to my new place perfectly. Not to mention they were so respectful of my home that they placed blankets to avoid scratches on the wood floors. I don’t even have nicks on my wall on the corner part of the stairs, from bringing up furniture to me room. I’m so happy with how everything turned out!!! I know I couldn’t of gone with a better choice.

Simply wonderful, just at the nick of time these guys came and helped me on a move out of state I called them up at three in the afternoon they came an hour later and finished the move in four hours I never seen anything like it so fast honest and professional, if I could I would give them 6 stars, Luis the formen Luis was so helpful and the sales guy Jack was with me from begining to end.

Good company, Hard Working Crew.
Be ready to Pay for the Steps incase if your apartment is on upper level.
I was given First 8 steps free, additional
8 steps @ 75 bucks, Total of 40 steps: ended up paying 300 for steps.

Provisional, prompt, and friendly. That summarizes my experience with Suburban Relocation.
Setting up the move was very simple, Jack was very upfront and honest, took the time to explain all the details.
The day prior to the move, received a confirmation call from Steven «foreman» with what to expect.
On moving day, Steven called again half an hour before arrival and showed up on time. Him and his team quickly setup and started moving things.
Very pleased with the move process so far, moving can cause a lot of anxiety, these folks made it simple and easy.

The reason I give them 2 stars is that my experience with the actual people who came to take stuff from my apartment was great, however, the rest of it was just not sufficient.
This was my first time moving and my budget was on the lower side so I did sufficient internet research (getting quotations from different companies and looking up reviews) at the end of it I chose suburban as they were one of the lower priced ones but with overall good reviews. I spoke on the phone with a gentleman called Sam. Sam was great in communicating and we settled on a pick up day. But, h ere are the problems that ensued thereafter:
1. I specifically told him that we would be picking up furniture from not just my apartment (which had the majority of furniture) but would include a few items from an apartment 20 minutes away. He said that it was no problem and that they would not charge additional fees. Lo and behold on the day of pick, when the movers arrived they didn’t know anything about the second apartment and consequently had to ask for more money.
2. I told Sam specifically that I needed to know when they would deliver– he couldn’t guarantee it (which I sort of understood since the place I was moving to is a small city) but thereafter I was not told anything further about date estimates. I was literally waiting for their phone call for a period of 5 days. In the meantime I would call and I would get this lady who would just repeat what I had been told a hundred times before– I’m paraphrasing here: «we are required by law to tell you that the shipment will take approximately 7 – 14 business days». The unfortunate part of this was that when I spoke with Sam’s boss or colleague (can’t recall) he had told me that on the day of pick up they would be able to tell me the day of delivery– none of that was forthcoming. Also, on one occasion when Sam’s boss answered the phone (at that point I was considering canceling the reservation) he told me that I had no other choice because of how cheap they were (which I agree but I could have rented a Uhaul or Pensky van if I had known how long it would take them to deliver).
Lastly, after 5 days I received a call that they were going to deliver my itmes. On arrival there was only one person (both driver and mover). My significant other had to help him bring our stuff into the apartment because we just couldn’t sit there and wait for this one gentleman carry everything. We had been told that they would have several people to help carry and set up our stuff. I should mention that he was a great guy and I was to review him I would give him 5 stars.
My mirror was broken but I just couldn’t bear any more communication with this company– I let it slide. I just didn’t have the strength anymore to deal with these folks.
My moving experience was not anywhere near great. At the end of it cheap is expensive.
Based on the positive reviews I saw before making my decision I thinking they might be better equipped for local moving and not long distance moving (but they should be honest about it).

This is truly a great one almost 2 months after I asked them to come over to remove some boxes and help me get rid of a sofa I did not want and they came and charged me next to nothing thanks guys.

I cannot believe there is a moving company out there like this one! We received the shipment of our items a few days early, which never happens, from South Carolina! We’ve had to move a lot in the past 3 years due to my husband’s work. So I can tell you with all the confidence in the world, that this is definitely one of the great ones. The movers were incredibly punctual, professional, cautious and had great manners. I never felt under minded as a woman, being that I was home alone to receive our items (ladies you know what I mean). They picked up our items that were enough to furnish a 2 – 3 bedroom home, had them in storage for a few months or so and then delivered them in immaculate condition. Not a scratch or dent! Sorry for all the TMI, I’m just in a state of shock that this move went so well. Especially since there is always a thing or two sometimes more, that goes wrong. When I went downstairs to give the guys instructions, I had to take a picture of how well placed & protected my items were & decided to post. Truly a remarkable and unique moving experience! This company really takes out the stress from moving. Now did pay a little extra for full packing that WAS SO WORTH IT! I really wish there would be a 7 star rating to give them.

Looking for a good moving company is really a hard task these days but im sure I found the best one, I saw the reviews on Unilocal and was about to move and I was not disappointed when I called in Donald answered and guided me through the process he promised that it would be easy when the movers came the were wrapping and moving like a tornedo before long my stuff was on the truck wrapped and stacked neatly I never saw this level of efficiency, so got what i was promised the price was good and they delivered right on time all the way to north Carolina, I highly recommend.
