History

Established in 1976.

Recording Consultants Inc. was founded in 1970. In 1976 the studio design and installation company created a wholly-​owned production company called RCI Sound Systems.

In 2001 we moved to a much larger facility in Beltsville, Maryland. RCI continued to grow based on a culture and a tradition of «doing it right.» Beginning in 2010 RCI realized the value of being a full service production company and made additional investment in backline, lighting, and video hardware and more technical staff to expand the boutique audio company into a full-​production provider.

Today, the Events Team at RCI handles the technical facets of over 1000 live productions and rentals annually. Our services include audio, video, lighting, staging and décor, backline rental, power distribution, and technical direction of events. The Systems Integration Team handles audio, video and lighting installation and maintenance for hundreds of such prestigious clients as NIH, Washington Nationals, & the US Supreme Court.
