Lenny’s Service Center

Lenny is a wizard when it comes to auto mechanics. He has always been not only accurate with his diagnosis of the problem, but beyond reasonable in terms of pricing. I’ve been taking my cars to him for several years, and have never been more impressed with the quality of someone’s work, but also the more than fair pricing of the labor.
Just one example of his work is with the electrical issues with my tail lights on one of my vehicles. A casing had gotten cracked when I was rear ended, and the housing was never fixed properly by a previous mechanic. After $ 700 of work, the signaling system still did not work properly. So I took it to a second mechanic. Another $ 700, and it turns out that it STILL did not work properly. Lenny not only fixed the problem, but did so at much less than the previous two mechanics.

I have had the exquisite pleasure to have used Lenny’s service center for over the past 20 yrs. It is without equivocation that lenny is as good a mechanic and body shop man as exists in the field today. Moreover it is beyond any question that both lenny and his son are honorable and reputable to a fault I would highly recommend this business due to their outstanding, personal and friendly service.

My absolutely favorite place to bring a car that needs inspection. Always friendly and prompt service and they never find things «wrong» with my car that require fixing before I can get the sticker. Last time I had a headlamp out, and Lenny was trying to avoid doing car repair for a few days due to a recent injury to his hand. So I asked where I could go nearby to get the bulb fixed. Instead, he did it himself because he knew how many shops around use inspection as a scam to get more business, and didn’t feel comfortable recommending anyone.

I realized on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm that my car needed an inspection sticker. I tried 3 places and each closed at 12 or 2pm. Then I found out that Lenny’s offers inspections on Saturdays until 5pm. They were polite, quick & efficient. They completely removed the old sticker and put the new one on neatly. I will definitely go back and definitely recommend this place to my friends & family.

I’ve been going to Lenny for years. He always takes the time to listen to me, and the car is ready when he says it will be, not a few hours or a few days later like some other places. His prices are fair and he will often tell me what he found and then ask me what I would like to do, instead of just handing me a bill. Oil changes and stickers are always done with in a reasonable amount of time. He also has a knack for figuring out issues that other shops can’t. If you need work done to your car and you are in the Belmont area, you will be impressed.

Lenny’s work is excellent and he is an honest man. I recommend Lenny and his shop for any type of car. 5 Stars!

I first came to Lenny upon the recommendation of my boyfriend’s grandmother. She was quite right to recommend him!
Lenny is a great guy who will give your car the attention and care that your car needs. He is also a good mechanic because he will not go looking for repairs to make on your car unless you ask him to. I have had two major car repairs at Lenny’s: first a complete brake change, and second repairs to my front after a guy backed into my little car. Both were completed promptly and correctly. He even worked really well with my insurance people.
The garage itself is pretty small. Sometimes his son will work there too, but mostly it is just Lenny, a cat, and a dog. No, there is not a fancy waiting room, but it is a close walk to Belmont Center where you can go to Starbucks or Macy’s while you wait. Enterprise is also very close if you need a rental.
When I moved to Boston, my mother told me to find a good mechanic asap. Well, I found him in Belmont and have not been disappointed.
