The Kreb Cycle has been open since 1988. We do repairs on all makes of bicycles. We fix flats., individual adjustments., full tune ups, whatever you would like to get your bike back in good running condition.

We also have a full selection of new bikes, Cruisers., Hybrids., Mountain Bikes…, Road bikes…, Kids bikes. Brands include Specialized, Pinarello, Quintana Roo, Ridley and Electra.

We do fittings using the Fit Kit and the Serotta Fit Cycle.

We also run the Friday night racing series at Sufflok Community Collee in Riverhead, along with the Cyclocross series at Nissequogue River State Park and the Empire State games qualifying races for LI.

History

Established in 1989.

After working in the bicycle industry for 6 years, while managing a large shop in New Hampshire, I decided that I wanted to try to run my own shop. I had established a business plan and was looking around in the lakes region for a suitable location. Then while visiting my family during the holidays, I saw a space for rent in my home town. The landlord had a boat building shop in the building but wanted close up to rent the space out. We came to an agreement and 4 months later after a lot of help from my Dad I opened the shop. I was open 7 days a week for the first 2 years, worked alone and slowly built up the business. Since then The Kreb has put on hundreds more races than any other shop on Long Island, donated tens of thousands of dollars to local charities and works hard to promote bicycle advocacy in New York State. As we enter our 25^th year of business we look forward to meeting the challenges of retailing in a small town and are ready to do our best to be your bicycle shop.

We are located on the Great South Bay. We have been here in our current and only location for 27 years. we are located in an old horse stable built in the late 1800’s. We have about 3,000 square feet of space for everything we do including storage.
