How this place gets anything less than a 5 star to me is ludicrous. The donuts are some of the best i ever had. Service is always great too. Maybe the Unilocalers are the problem not the place but i digress. I tried something new today. THe mini sandwich with smoked ham and pepperjack cheese on a brioche roll. They were 3 for 5 $ and so fucking good. I added some grey poupon cause im fancy like that. Only one made it to picture since i was hungry. About to go HAM on the Maple Bacon one and save the Vanilla for breakfast, or late night snack or maybe 5 mins from now. Get there. its so good.

Stopped to pick up some pastries and doughnuts for mothers day. The doughnuts were no doubt left over from Saturday. Possibly Friday. Not at all what I expected on a Sunday morning. If you happen to be passing by dont let the appearance of Spiga being a good Italian bakery fool you like it did me. Drive on by. There is a Dunkin Doughnuts a half mile east. Cheaper and more enjoyable.

I really wanted to love this bakery because a good friend raves about it and has reviewed it on more than once occasion. Unfortunately, I do not feel the same way as others who have reviewed this bakery. I found the girls behind the counter to be scatter brained, unfriendly, and slow. I literally was waiting for the young lady to box up my doughnuts that I ordered(which I have something else to say about that) and she literally was dumping the carafes of coffee first prior to boxing up my doughnuts. I asked her what some of the doughnuts actually were because all of the names of the doughnuts were completely wrong and switched and when I told her she just said, «Yeah.» Are you serious? I am pretty sure the owners would not be pleased to hear about this. Not only that but the doughnuts I bought were definitely old and not fresh from that day. I ordered the Crème Brulee, Banana Nutella, and pointed to the Maple Bacon yet was given the French Toast doughnut. I also got a three layered mousse dessert which was pretty good, I will admit. I am bothered by the fact that the pastries just don’t look fresh, that the ham and jack mini sliders have been sitting out most likely most of the day and that I saw the young lady touching money and then touching the pastries with the same gloved hand. Everyone knows that money is the dirtiest thing possible. I was kind of skeeved out to be straight up. Although I did not try the cookies, they just don’t look as delectable and fresh as other bakeries that I frequent in Long Island. I am not pleased that I spent as much money I did for stale doughnuts filled with cream and or custard that was old tasting.

Oh. My. God. This place was pure heaven. We couldn’t decide what to get so we walked out with 3 boxes of deliciousness. 13 donuts, assorted pastries & mini pies and cinnamon buns. For donuts we got bacon, italian crème pie, triple chocolate, german chocolate, cinnaBOMB and oreo. Everything was amazing. The donuts light and fluffy, fresh and yummy. Perfect amount of toppings, perfect everything. The donuts range in price and they charge per donut, not by the dozen. The prices were very reasonable and everything in the bakery was clean, beautiful and fresh. The girls behind the counter were very friendly and helpful in explaining what everything was when my kids asked over and over again«what’s that? What’s that? What’s that?». We will definitely be returning. They take cards, min $ 10.

We ordered two custom cakes from here. Our party was a 1st birthday/baptism combo. When you think of planning a successful event one of the last things for guests to be «wowed«is going to be the dessert. If you need a cake for your upcoming event and you want the wow factor and you want your cake to taste like it was«Meant» to be made. Rather than«had» to. Look no further Our first time here honestly and we can’t wait to go back.

Spiga is one of my local go to bakeries on Nassau’s south shore along with Capri bakery in Seaford. The prices and selections are quite similar. I usually choose between the two based on the direction I’m heading. I like that Spiga has a coffee bar with some tables which allows it to serve as a café too. Another plus about Spiga is that it is open relatively late for bakeries.

Such a great bakery. Have tried many since moving to the area including Capri, Fehns, and Francesco’s and this one is the best hands down. You have to try the red velvet cake and the banana Nutella doughnuts! They are amazing. I only bought one and my husband and I fought about sharing it haha. So Delish!!! Can’t wait to go back and try more of their baked goods.

These four stars are for the French toast doughnut. It’s dense like a challah/brioche bread, and super sticky ooey gooey. You’ll need wet napkins after holding one. Trumps all other doughnuts in this bakery thus far and I’ve tried their maple bacon, red velvet, and cruller. Service is still kinda slow but friendly.

Over priced and overcharged. A few weeks ago I stopped in for a st Joseph and 6 pignoli cookies. A young man helped me. My total was $ 9. Sticker shocked I asked the young lady to double check. Sure enough I was over charged by about $ 2. In lieu of a refund I asked for $ 4 of rainbow cookies. The young man rang it up and said its $ 5.50. I told him I asked for $ 4 because that was the cash I had on hand. He returned to the scale then returned to me. I checked the box and there was only 2 cookies. I ask the young lady to check and AGAIN I was over charged. Completely discontent at this point I asked for a full refund. The manager did not seem pleased and he blamed my «expensive taste» as both rainbow and pingoli are $ 24 per pound. I insisted on a refund and went elsewhere. Found a nice Italian bakery up the road(marios) where rainbows were $ 14 per pound and pingolis were $ 18. And they didn’t overcharge.

Spiga is hands down the best bakery around. Everything we’ve ever got there is absolutely amazing. Luca, the owner has been extremely accommodating with helping us design out wedding cupcake tower. Prices are great, staff is even better.

They have a selection of breads, cakes, mini-cakes, cookies, and pastries. We opted to bring a few mini-cakes to our friends’ house so we could try several things. We got: Dark Chocolate Cake(heavenly, so decadent and rich) Mousse Cake(I’ve had better… namely at Costco) Strawberry Cheesecake(delicious but the only«strawberry» part was the strawberry plopped on top) Overall a nice option for the area.

This place is awful, horribly wrong. I’m gonna just pretend I don’t see that bacon topped glazed donut. What type of twisted person to do such cruel torture to the humble zeppole by squirting it full of cannoli crème! Ok, ok One. What? The bacon donut is good? LALALALA I DON’T HEARYOU!

This is the best bakery on Long Island besides Sapienza in Elmont. IMHO better than any place in BK or the BX, too. Extra points for the little coffee bar they have going on and the rustic feel. One star off because they have a credit card/debit card minimum, and when you’re craving a chocolate mousse cup mid-day and you don’t have any cash, it’s a bad day.

I usually try to resist going in here, but not always successful at that. They have a nice selection of pastries, cookies, cakes, and breads. The gelato always looks delicious, but I haven’t tried it yet. They have a dark chocolate mousse pastry that is out of this world! I’ve ordered a couple of birthday cakes that I have been very happy with. You can usually find some bread samples on the counter. The cheese bread is great! On my last visit, I was surprised to see rice balls and sicilian pizza. I didn’t think to ask if they made them there, but I bought a rice ball for my son that I just had to sample. It was delicious!

I don’t want to write a bad review because this is the ONLY bakery in the area. It could be much better. They have potential. The prices are very HIGH. Quality is ok, but not great.

Fantastic, freshly made treats. Had a canolli, which was perfect– freshly made shells that they fill upon request. This should be the only way you buy a canolli since the ricotta filling should be refrigerated and filled when you buy. There are a few tables to sit and enjoy one of the many espressos and gelatos they offer as well.

I’ve gone in a few times while next door at Ace Hardware and I’ve always been impressed with the great variety of breads and various baked goods. Fresh breads are super delicious. I haven’t tried any of the sweets but they always look great. Staff is very friendly and the place does a good volume of business but any line moves quickly.

Not sure if I can prove it, but the croissants seem like they are from Costco. Not very flakey or fresh even on a sunday morning. On the other hand the prosciutto\lard bread is amazing!

Mini cannoli’s were an instant hit for Super Bowl Sunday. Shells were crisp not soggy & cream was just right amount of sweetness! Would frequent again…

This is without a doubt a total hidden gem of a bakery, and maybe one of the best on the island. They are big on serving small single portion desserts along with the more traditional cakes, pies, and cookies. If you stop in, take a seat, grab a cappucino, and indulge in their absolutely mindblowing Tiramisu dessert. To this day I’ve never had a tiramisu that is as creamy and delicious as the one they make. You can be pretty much guaranteed that anything you buy from here will be an absolute showstopper anywhere that you might bring it. HIGHLY recommended!
