I went to Dr. Westfried for face rejuvenation as i was very unhappy with the puppet lines around my mouth. He recommended Juvederm. He did the filler over a period of time so that i had a chance to see the improvement litlle by little and to stop when happy with the results. My skin looks so refreshed and natural. I am extremely thrilled with the end result. I will be back to him for other types of facial rejuvenations he does as a face lift is not an option.

After many years of dealing with psoriasis, and going through multiple doctors I found Doctor Morris Westfried, and I am very grateful that I did! This doctor knows exactly what he is talking about and has helped me find treatments for my psoriasis this past year that no other doctor has helped me with. I’ve had doctors tell me my psoriasis is just pimples!!! I highly recommend him for anybody suffering with psoriasis.

Great doctor, quick and to the point. And frankly to be fair, he is a dermatologist. I don’t really need him for much else other than to look at stuff and prescribe me things I know I need. His visits are about 3 – 5 minutes long depending on if you need something more invasive done (like a removal of something.
Tip: you’ll be waiting. A long time, about 15 – 20 minutes from your appointment time. Bring your phone, a game or a magazine.

Some complain that Dr Westfried spends only few minutes with them… well, he does not need to spend more. He diagnose, he does what needs to be done, he prescribes meds and he goes to the next patient. he is not your psychiatrist to hear the story of your life. I know him for 13 years and I do have random skin conditions now and then, I should say once or twice a year. And guess what … any time I see him he helps my conditions go away. What else should I expect from specialist?
And John, yes if you are overweight and diabetic you will see surprises on your skin and if doctor tells you that, that is not rudeness that is doctor trying to help you.

My sister recommended this doctor to me saying that every time she had to see him, she had the best possible result and experience.
I went to see this doctor on kinda an emergency basis (since the office of the random doc I saw a week ago on Saturday was simply closed today, Wednesday). Dr. Westfried was about to leave when I came in as a walk-​in, an entirely new patient. And while I was handed a pack of forms to fill out, he took me to his office before I got to filling them out, heard me out about my problem, and even though he had a different hypothesis about my condition, he trusted me enough to go with what I said I had (poison ivy acting out after the medication I had to curtail it ran out and so it wasn’t fully treated) and prescribed me the same med (which always worked for me in this situation) and for more days than it is usually given, hearing that my experience was such as I needed to be in this medication longer than would be enough for most people.)
I really appreciate doctors who listen to their patients and trust them; after all nobody knows our bodies and experiences while we are ill better then ourselves, and the less are mapped to a stereotype which is then gets treated, the better the care we receive, the more customized it is and effective. I do not mean to say that doctors should just take their patient’s word and prescribe what a patient asks; we go to doctors for their expertise, judgement and interpretation of our symptoms, but our history of dealing with the same or similar conditions, and medications should be taken in consideration and is very important for defining the treatment.
This type of commitment to communication with the patients is paramount and is unfortunately very hard to find these days.

I been going to Morris Westfried MD since 1980. Far as I am concern he is a great doctor I know sometimes he seems to be in a rush and does not sit down and talk.
But far as I am concern I like a doctor that gets right to the point. As i write this today I live in Las vegas and i am going to make an appointment with him so on my return to NY I can see him

This guy is horrible!
I went to him twice. The wait time wasn’t bad either time, but he isn’t personable at all.
The first time I went for a biopsy to see if I had skin cancer from a cut that wasn’t healing. Other than him not being personable the first visit was ok.
The second visit (1÷17÷14) is where I have my gripes. He gets the biopsy back and it concludes I have skin cancer (BCC). He tells me he doesn’t know how deep it is so he is sending me to another doctor for MOHs surgery. Then he proceeds to rip the scab off of my face and then puts cotton on it with two bandaids that don’t stay on. I get home and the cotton is stuck to my face. I try to take it off with some warm water and no matter how gentle I do it, it starts to bleed. So now the real problem comes into effect. I call the place I need to go for surgery and make an appointment. They tell me I need the biopsy paper which was sent to them and a referral from Westfried in order for my insurance to pay for the surgery. Westfriend didn’t mention anything about a referral and says the biopsy paper would be enough.
So I have to go back and forth between places on the phone. I called Westfried 6 times over the last week for a referral and they have given me the run around. Friday (1÷24÷14) his secretary said they would send the referral to the place I’m going. I call them again today (1÷27÷14) and the place says they didn’t get the referral.
Why is it so hard for this guy to send a referral to the place HE referred me to?
I have surgery in 2 days (1÷29÷14) and this guy STILL hasn’t sent the referral after me contacting him numerous times!!! He should have given me a referral on my second visit when he referred me to another doctor. This is ridiculous!!! I’m never going back to this guy! I’m surprised he still has a practice.

I’ve been to Dr. Westfried for Laser Hair Removal quite a few times, his laser wasn’t for my skin type and he continued to use the laser on my skin knowing that it wasn’t the laser that was supposed to be used. He continued taking my money and using the wrong laser. I told him the laser wasn’t working for my skin, he finally then told me the type of laser I needed, he didn’t have that in his office… THIS DOCTOR IS SUCH A RIP OFF!!!

Oh Dr. Westfied… what to say, what to say.
I’ve been going to Dr. Westfriend for the past hmmm I’d say 8 years? And yes, everyones reviews are correct.
You will always wait MUCH longer than he sees you. And he normally sees you for about 5 mins TOPS. Which took me a really really really long time to accept. Unless you are doing laser or something like that, don’t expect to be seen for longer than 5mins.
Here is what he does well: he doesn’t bullshit you. It is what it is and he has no problem telling you that. If your insurance only covers the shitty medication that wont really help, he has no problem telling you «I’ll give you this cream, but it probably wont work». His problem is that he doesnt explain himself, so naturally anyone will react to that last statement in confusion like «why is he giving it to me then!?»
He is not the worst, let’s get that straight and clear — — but he could try to be nicer and more personable.
The receptionist are mixed, some are really sweet, some are nasty and rude. Depends who you get that day.

I don’t know what the bad reviews are all about. I am as VAIN about my looks as they come and this doctor knows his stuff. I’ve went to him for acne (adult) — now it is gone, Melasma (because i decided to make my own sunscreen once) — that too is gone… and the rest well is a secret– (wink). He is awesome. Not money hungry lack the quacks in NYC that have made me look like an idiot at times! He will not over — do anything and is always completely honest. Did I say his pricing is fair too? I’ve been going to him for over 10+ years. Nonsense on the bad reviews.

I think people need to be a little more careful with the way they comment on someone’s livelihood. After reading the only reviews left here it seems to me that these people were looking for a psychologist rather than a very efficient no fuss doctor. I’ve gone to Dr. Westfried 3 times so far for my tattoo removal. I keep going to him for: 1) his credentials, 2) the results being seen, 3) the fact that he didn’t nickle and dime me like everywhere else I looked into tried to do, 4) he uses way more methods of comfort care to help take the pain away during the lasers than other centers do (ie: numbing injections, cool air, asking if he needs to stop, etc) and 5) plain and simple because he does what needs to be done (extremely well), and then we both go our separate ways. If you had enough hugs as a child then he’s the doc for you. If not, go anyway and get over it. I also love the PA there, she is a sweet woman who makes me like her even while she is poking me with 13 numbing needles. I also never have a problem getting an appointment or communicating with the office.

I’ve been to Dr. W’s twice at this location.
The first time I was so pleased with my no fuss visit. He took off a mole and prescribed a cream in 5 minutes.
Today, I waited 50 minutes. (I don’t mind waiting, I understand offices overbook sometimes) But I was seen for 1 minute and left.
My skin didnt improve with the previous cream and I told the lady that.
She wrote something on a piece of paper.
When the doctor finally came in, he just prescribed the same thing to me again, because apparently for acne scars, its laser treatments or this one damn cream. And he knew I couldn’t afford the laser treatments.
I wasn’t even complaining about acne scars. I was complaining about the actual goshdarn acne.
Unless you’re in for a cosmetic procedure or something super serious… you’re visit will probably only last for 5 minutes. Which can be good or bad.
