SUNDAYS @ Bellmore Train Station Parking Lot from Late March till Late December.(Aprox). ADMISSION: FREEFREEFREEFREE ! NOTE: The flea market is usually canceled with bad weather(rain /snow). Also cancelled several times during the season for either a CAR or(vomit) CRAFT show. If you’re a weekly visitor ASK the vendors if the show is next week or not. Usually only cancelled 2 or 3 times per season. Also cancelled once a year for a summer«carnival/fair» — so if you see signs announcing a carnival at the Bellmore station = NOFLEAMARKET that week. FROMTRAIN: Easy from Penn Station & Jamaica and all other stops on the Babylon line. YOUGOTSTUFFTOSELL?: anyone can fill up their car and SELL here. No reservations– just show up! Cost: $ 50.00 per parking spot(kinda small but you could easily fit 28 foot long tables in there and fill it with your junk). Make sure to get there EARLYAM when it’s still DARK outside to secure a spot! Make sure you BRING change ! Lots of $ 1.00’s & $ 5.00’s-most people will pay you with a $ 20.00 bill for an item costing $ 3.00 — you need to give change. Bring bags to give out as well. The bigger the better. HOURS: from 7:30-ish till around 2:00 pm ish. Not real«set hours». Most of the public gets there at 9:30 — it gets CROWDED too. Many of the dealers will be packing up by 1:30PM– do not get there too late. THEBESTTHINGABOUTTHISPLACE: Holiday & Birthday gifts for your friends and family! You will see lots of stuff– for cheap that can be stashed away till the proper occasion ! Remember this !~ ESPECIALLY if any family members or friends COLLECT things(«Oh Aunt Judith collects little antique ceramic cat figurines and look what we found her for $ 3.00 !». «My cousin Freddy collects records and here’s a vintage copy of Led Zeppelin 2 for $ 10.00 in mint shape» LOGIC dictates: so now you can scratch Cousin Freddy & Aunt Judith off your holiday or birthday list! AND they will be so happy too with a VINTAGE items and not something they don’t need from Marshalls for MORE money ! So yeah: 2 gifts– $ 13.00 total! — I could go on…) I have literally plucked items from this flea market for $ 1.00 to $ 5.00 and sold them on ebay for $ 25.00 to $ 95.00 …and quite often too! But I have like 30 years of junk-knowledge in my head and have an inert sense of what people will buy. I’m not bragging– just sayin’. Some of the vendors here are INSANE A**HOLES with high prices. However MOST are nice & friendly & want to dump their stuff for cheap(that’s where I come in-ba ha ha ha …) I bought a «Lost In Space» Jupiter2 space ship toy based on the TV show for $ 1.00.(This is not a very old toy– it came out when the flop movie was released in 1997). I had never seen this before! It was a replica of the ship from the«Lost in Space» TV show and had an itty bitty Lost in Space Robot still inside! Detailed little ship on the inside with consoles & such! Alas-the batteries were rotted out in the compartment and the ship will never LIGHTUP! Either way – it was ONEDOLAR. I looked on eBay an this toy goes for $ 40.00 to $ 50.00 loose with NOBOX.(In the box it’s a $ 150.00 to $ 200.00 toy!!) I love this toy so much that I’m not gonna sell it ever!!! Yeah– this flea market makes me a happy kid again! FREE admission and FUN to look at the stuff even if you are a NON-COLLECTOR type! LOTS of fun items for the home, decorative, funky, cool, art & paintings & just plain WEIRD stuff that’s so random. GREATGREAT place for holiday stocking stuffers ! Lots of toys & kiddie stuff for cheap too. Lots of bins of «$ 1.00» items too. Often cool furniture, vintage bicycles, magazines, books, vintage skateboards, etc. etc. Need glasses & dishware? It’s here. Cheap as hell too! Super hero & fan boy action figures? Dive in! TOOLS: always LOTS of used tools here. House & Garden, etc. LOTS of hardware. If you are a professional landscaper COMEHERE before your next trip to Home Depot ! VINTAGEVIDEOGAMESGALORE ! Bare walls? TONS of framable items to hang(old vintage magazine covers, artwork, posters, prints, etc.) Something for every taste. TONS of old jewelry — from JUNK to costume to VINTAGE. Lots of used clothing for CHEAPER than a real thrift store. GREAT place for CDs and GREATFORCHEAP DVDs! Especially DVD sets that were like $ 39.99& up only 10 years ago for a fraction of the price here ! And vinyl records if you like them. If you are a serious collector you probably don’t need ME to tell you about this place! LOL. If you are in the area and need to stroll around before OR after brunch or lunch — this is the place to go! Family /Dog friendly. Hot Dog truck on premises that has GREAT Sausage & Pepper sandwiches & knishes ! You can’t loose! WARNING: BRINGYOUOWNCANVASTOTEBAGS: The vendors here sometimes have no bags OR just crappy CVS plastic bags that will rip as you’re walking around. You don’t want Aunt Judith’s ceramic cat to break!

Nice place to spend a Sunday afternoon walking the dog. They seem to have some nice stuff and like most Flea Markets it will be a hit or miss. Most of the items that are being sold is older items.

Some great vendors mixed in with some overpriced vendors, most are willing to give good prices and negotiate and selections change every week, as of late though there’s been an influx of vendors trying to charge boutique prices for flea market items, this is a flea market so half the fun is haggling not paying overpriced prices for items that are used.

Every Sunday in season we swing by the flea market. Bellmore attracts a ton of vendors with such a diverse array of things for sale that there’s truly something for everyone. There’s a lot of sellers with new goods too. Toys and comics are plentiful. As a Star Wars collector I always find a good deal every week. This flea market has really grown into something nice over the last couple years.

What a great flea market. It’s the kind of place where you have to keep an open mind because you never know what you’re going to find.(Totally didn’t mean to rhyme.) I don’t recommend going here set on something specific. The flea market stays at the Bellmore train station but changes lots from time to time. Trust me you won’t miss it though. It’s only on Sunday’s and I highly suggest going early(I usually arrive at like 8:30am-10am) to avoid the crowds. But don’t get there too early or the vendors won’t have everything set up and laid out. They sell everything from antiques, car parts, vinyls, jewelry, relics, etc. Most of the items sold here are very old and valuable. I know several people sell old coins or baseball cards. One of my favorite parts about flea markets is that you can haggle. For the most part if you’re going to buy multiple items or something in bulk the seller might give you a deal. It’s worth a shot right? I personally look for vintage jewelry, maps and books. Last weekend I bought a beautiful ring as well as some maps from the 50’s.(Ring was $ 5 and maps were $ 1 each. I use them for artwork.) It’s a really fun place to go to and you never know what you’re going to buy! Definitely check the Bellmore Flea Market out.

Great outdoor flea market under the Bellmore train station ONLY open on Sundays(weather permitting). The site has dates when they will be open. Lots of vendors selling antiques, jewelry, toys, video games, tools, clothes, shoes, art supplies, etc. The people are very friendly and haggle-friendly. Open from 6AM-6PM.
