T & T Nails

I really don’t like to write one-​star reviews but I did not have a good experience here at all. I came with a friend and we each were getting pedicures and shellac manicures. They sat us down in the pedicure chairs and not five minutes into the pedicure a guy came over and started to do my manicure at the same time I was getting the pedicure done. This was very uncomfortable because there was not much room between the rows of chairs so he was standing on one side of the chair and pulling my arm across my body to do my other hand. He made me turn off the massage part of the chair the whole time because he said he couldn’t do my nails with it on (part of what I’m paying for is the relaxing massage function so that annoyed me). It was painful for my arm to be held up for that long and I told him, but he basically ignored me or acted like he didn’t know what I was saying. My whole manicure was done like this and at the end they brought the little machines that dry the polish (don’t know what they’re called) that you put your hands inside and he told me to put both of my hands inside at the same time. Well I have small hands and they both don’t even fit in that thing at once, so they kept touching each other and the shellac kept getting messed up and he told me it was my fault and that I wasn’t keeping my hands steady enough! Well it’s kind of difficult to keep my hands steady, I’m sitting in this chair trying to get a pedicure and you’re doing my manicure at the same time, and I’m hunching my body over in this uncomfortable position so that I can try to jam both of my hands into this thing and you’re telling me it’s my fault they are getting messed up! Not to mention there was only one other customer who left shortly after we arrived and no other customers the entire rest of the time we were there, so I don’t know why they were in such a rush. We were the only customers and there was plenty of room! They should have done the pedicure and then done the manicure separately at the table (they did it this way with the friend I was with), but I don’t know why they didn’t do it that way for me. I came to relax but this was not relaxing at all. I didn’t get to enjoy the pedicure, and when I walked out of there there were still calluses on my feet and the manicure was uneven and had missed spots. Not even a week later it’s already chipped off. The staff were rude and it was just an uncomfortable experience. I don’t think I will be back.

I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. The customer service was awful, the nail technicians were very short with their responses, did not listen to what shape I wanted my nails, to list a few grievances. Additionally, they charge a ridiculous amount of $ 5 to apply matte… I have never heard of places charging for this. Overall, the service and the people were not the best and I should have stuck to my normal routine and gone to #1 Nails. Lesson definitely learned!

I am visiting from Los Angeles and have been to a lot of nail salons and T & T nails was one of the best I have been to. They are very professional and I really enjoyed my pedi. Not only did the pedi include the hot wax which softens your feet, but a hot stone leg massage as well. I have never seen any nail salon do that before. My leg massage with just the lotion was excellent too. I will definitely come back here next time I am in town. Also, the prices were so reasonable! Oh and I don’t want to forget to mention that they did a fantastic job on my toe polish as well.

I came in to get a manicure and was hoping for some relaxation and good service. I was only looking for a nail color for about two minutes when I was told I had to pick out a color now and sit in this chair that the lady was pointing at. I told her I haven’t decided what color I wanted and I wanted to keep looking. She rudely shook her head at me and said «come now». I should have just walked out at that point but I was really excited to treat myself to a manicure after a hard week at work. I quickly grabbed a color and sat down. The lady rushed through the manicure process and didn’t even give my arms and hands a massage which I look forward to the most because I’m a nurse and my hands hurt from all the tying I do. When she was done I had my nails drying In front of the fan and she said they were dry even though I knew they needed more time. When I told her they weren’t dry yet she told my to leave anyways. When I put my hands in my purse to get my keys three of my nails got messed up in the process. I should have gone back in and demanded a refund but I’m not confrontational so I went home and repainted them myself. I will never be returning to this place and I hope whoever is reading this goes somewhere else because they don’t deserve our hard earned money.

I’m sitting in the salon as we speak. I’m pretty sure the woman who gave me my pedicure was in training, but even so, this is by far one of the best pedicures I’ve ever had. The spa portion is really long, massages, exfoliation, some weird hot liquid in a baggy treatment, etc, I love it! The people who work here are very sweet and make sure you are as pampered as you would like to be!

My worst nail salon experience… I went there to get my valentines day nails done, they didn’t have the pink shade I wanted and the girl who did my nail CANNOT draw a heart, she struggled for so long, I honestly can do a better job at home. When I left the nail salon my nails wasn’t fully dry cause they use a little fan for drying, so it got even more messed up. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

One of the best nail experiences I’ve had! Their chairs are comfy and they have really reasonable prices, especially if you’re a student or have a coupon book. They were gentle and fun to talk to. My nails turned out exactly how I wanted them. My eyebrow wax was quick and looks great. Already booked an appointment for next time!

Aw! All the bad reviews on here make me sad.
I like T&T. I’ve had good results here with acrylics and fills– Anna does the best job, which is why I specifically request her every visit and also the reason behind the four star review. I have had other technicians do my nails when the salon is busy, and have left slightly disappointed. But, every time Anna has done them, I’ve been pleased with the results.

Terrible! Just went for a polish change, removed polish, filed a little, put on new polish. Didn’t allow to dry before putting my flip flops on and smeared my polish everywhere. I had to point it out so she touched it up very half assed but let me go home with polish all over my toes. Bet part was paying $ 10 and then knowing I have to redo. Would not recommend, my 7 year old could do a better job.

This is the worst manicure I have ever had.
I walked in and was happy to see that the staff was able to accomodate me, the perks ended here. I asked for a shellac manicure, and my nails were barely trimmed before my manicurist started slopping paint over my fingers. My cuticles were completely ignored and just painted over. The shellac is rough around the edges and spills over to my nail beds. Even after being dried my nails look gloopy, like there was way too much polish.
It was a complete waste of 25 dollars, and when I requested that my edges be touched up, the women working seemed indifferent to the terrible quality.
With the amount of nail salons nearby, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to T&T, try Martin’s Nails or Happy Nails instead.

I love this place. Three of us walked in. They didn’t have much staff, but they took us anyway and made sure our nails looked great. The massage chairs are top notch — something I always look for when I’m getting a mani-​pedi and the prices are good.
Overall the prices are reasonable, the service was friendly if a bit quiet and my nails look great.

Well, I have mixed feelings about this place. They PRETEND to care most of the time. Sometime they give you backhanded compliments to make you want to get your toes or nails done, whichever you weren’t there to originally do. They never apologize if they mess up. You can walk in and they will always get you in however you might walk in the door before someone else and end up waiting for an hour after they began yours, while they start and finish someone else and then get back to you. One time she cut me with whatever the electrical file is called and I was bleeding everywhere, she didn’t apologize but she gave me 5 bucks off after making it sound like she was doing me a favor. Well the prices are good and like I said you don’t need a reservation, and they are even willing to stay late past their closing hours to get your business which is nice. I was fine with the minor cuts, and mediocre job (there were always flaws in my nails) up until recently when they didn’t properly sanitize their utensils and I developed some kind of awesome fungus. I know gross right. So now the good prices aren’t quite worth it to me anymore. I should have known better though, they are so worried about cramming in as much business as possible they would never have time to properly sterilize their instruments. Oh they did just replace their pedicure chairs with working ones which is nice, before they would charge the same as other places and the chairs didn’t work. Their prices also vary, it will say one thing and at the end they will charge you something else. Also, I had the man, the owner I am guessing comment on my mediocre tip, for a mediocre job. Tips are earned not mandatory.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: 4
T&T Nails in Sehome Village was welcoming to walk-​ins, including me and the steady stream that came in behind me. The owner and her employees did a nice job managing all the different people who were in progress — nails, pedicures, etc. I never felt abandoned and they always checked in to let me know where I was in the process.
AMENITIES: 5
They have great massaging chairs with attached foot baths and are VERY VERY clean and new and the space has great ventilation and lots of natural light. The aestheticians were friendly and respectful and did a great job cleaning up after, so I know that I sat down to a clean station too. They also had little flip-​flops for those of us who forgot to bring our own. (That would be me.)
THE PEDICURE: 3
When I dip into my purse for a pedicure (which was $ 25 — pretty standard price-​wise), I want to leave with feet that are buffed down to brand-​new baby skin. I left here with heels that were still rough and cracked. My aesthetician did a once-​over with the pumice, but didn’t get Medieval the way I’ve had salons in NYC do it. When I got home, I noticed that almost every toe was botched in some way — either the polish didn’t extend to the edges or OVER-​extended and was painted on my skin… or that the top coat didn’t cover the whole nail. It didn’t seem like they were rushing at the time, but the finished pedicure just didn’t shout, «I paid a professional to do this!»
OVERALL GRADE: 3 (The actual pedi is weighted more than the amenities and customer service because it’s the only thing you actually take home with you!)
This is still the BEST PLACE I’ve been to in my hometown of Bellingham, WA. The other places were hot messes and this place gave a standard-​grade pedi with top-​notch facilities. Just be VERY SPECIFIC about what you want and inspect the job before leaving. The owner and the people who work here are really nice and were clearly interested in building their business and clientele, so I’m sure that things will continue to improve as they go along.
PS — Easy parking in large lot.

This place was terrible. The only reason I went is because they are open later than my normal place. The lady that took off my acrylics RIPPED them off. It was more painful than taking them off at home. She didn’t smooth my nails out so you can still see all the bumps from the acrylics. Didn’t cut my cuticles, cut my nails crooked, and painted outside my nails all over my cuticles. Worst mani I’ve ever had. On top of that it was 25 dollars which is usually what it costs for a full set. I just went back to let them know I wasn’t happy and all the OWNER had to say was ‘sit down I fix.’ I told her I wanted my money back and she refused and refused to even look at the terrible job they did. Overpriced, terrible service. Will never go back.

I would not recommend this place to anyone! The customer service was terrible at least with the woman I had my nails didn’t even last a half an hour … I could’ve done a better job my self! Even my pedicure didn’t last! This was the biggest waste of Money the one good thing about this place is Tony I guess he does a really good job but the woman I had was terrible she completely messed up my nails and then did the worst fix up job I ever saw! It is cheap but NOT WORTH IT!

OK girls… looking for a SUPER place to get your nails done @ a pretty reasonable price? Ya totally gotta try T & T Nails in Sehome Village!
I’m totally not joking that these guys will give ya Rock Star nails really super quick — and they do the most perfect nails i’ve EVER seen, every single flippin’ time! AND they give the most hands-​down AMAZING massage on your legs during your pedicure… WOW!
You’ll fall in love with this place every single time!
Great nails, yes! High pressure, constant upsell questions? Yes!
Hence, the lower star rating.
