Meridian Superstore

I don’t need to tell you the price of gas right now, but as I write this is it $ 1.47 in Vancouver? I can’t bear to check my iphone. This is the cheapest place to buy gas in bellingham and it’s across from the mall. With Nexus, you can make it here in under two hours + Trader Joes (groceries and maybe a cheap bottle of wine) + Target (toiletries; kept to a minimum of course) on an American long w/​end. I know as I just did this myself, even when Nexus was closing as I drove up. :)
The only downside is that they are cash only, and as another reviewer pointed out «don’t buy anything else.» Ha.
The guys inside are nice enough. They don’t care that their lines are long and they know that their cash only policy works. If you go in a pair, one person should go inside and pay, while the other fills up and immediately pulls ahead so the next guy can pull up. Not only this efficient, but it’s great teamwork, and it shortens the lines. Now, if only everybody would do this…(sigh). But it’s never too late to start!
Also, be careful when pulling out as there is a lot of traffic and you can only turn right. Highly recommended by me!

If you are like most Lower Mainlanders, you are on the look out for the BEST gas prices when in the states. Of all places I have been, this is probably the most reasonable and the owners are always friendly. This past weekend the price was $ 2.93 a gallon, for Canadians that works out to about $.77 a litre and with the dollar near par, you would be a fool not to go there if you are in the area.
What I will warn you all about is the washroom. It’s probably the worst I have been in. Ok not completely true, it’s the second to last lol.

Meridian Superstore has a long history of regularly having the cheapest gas prices in Bellingham, WA. However, I will NEVER buy my gas there ever again. Why? At the cash register, they openly sell drug paraphernalia. When I asked the cashier why he was selling glass pipes that were clearly intended to be used for smoking crack or meth, he tried to BS me by saying they were for tobacco. I will never do business with Meridian Superstore again!
