We are a pet-​only funeral home and on-​site cremation service offering personal, compassionate and respectful care for you and your pet.

History

Established in 2013.

Life Cycle Pet Cremation, Inc., owned and operated by Bobbie Ruth and Bill Langley, was incorporated on May 20, 2013 and opened for business on October 21, 2013.

We are a member of the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories (IAOPCC) and Sustainable Connections.

Our credentials include:

Pet Bereavement Specialist Certification (PBSC) from IAOPCC

Certified Pet Crematory Operator Certification (CPCO) from IAOPCC

Registered Pet Funeral Director Certification (RPFD) from IAOPCC

Certified Pet Funeral Director — training and certification from Pet Passages in Rochester, NY

Bobbie RUth L.

Business Owner

Bobbie Ruth is an IAOPCC Registered Pet Funeral Director, Certified Pet Bereavement Specialist, and Certified Pet Crematory Operator. She is also a Pet Passages Certified Pet Funeral Director, and a Therm-​Tec Certified Crematory Operator.

Before opening Life Cycle, Bobbie Ruth and her husband Bill travelled to Kansas City, MO where they trained with Pet Cremation Services (PCS). In addition, Bobbie Ruth travelled to Rochester, NY where she worked with the staff of Pets at Peace by Harris Funeral Home as part of her training with Pet Passages.

Directing the day-​to-​day operations for Life Cycle Pet Cremation allows Bobbie Ruth to combine her love and respect for pets and the people who love them with her varied education and professional background.

Bobbie Ruth holds a B.A. from Millikin Univeristy, and she attended Divinity School at the University of Chicago.

Oh my, I cannot say enough about this wonderful, compassionate place. We said goodbye to our beloved cat, Grace, March 29, 2016. I drove her from Redmond, WA to Life Cycle Pet Cremation in Bellingham, WA. We live in Bellingham part of the time and Grace loved the car. It was important for me to take her body for her final car ride. Waiting at the end was Bobbie Ruth. She is a wonderful, compassionate, caring lady. She was wonderful to me and to Grace. I picked Grace up in the little «sleeping car» urn, that we had ordered and also the aftercare package (which is being framed). We have placed Grace in her favourite bed, in front of the living room fireplace. She will be with us forever. We had her for eleven wonderful years and our hearts are broken.
Bobbie Ruth, thank you for everything that you do!!! You provide an absolutely wonderful service for the many animal lovers in this area. We drove from King County to your facility and would do it again.

I had the unfortunate need to use Life-​Cycle-​Pet-​Cremation twice in three weeks recently, so I can definitely offer a thorough review and say I highly recommend Bobbie Ruth and her service. She is professional but not cold, and asks just enough questions about your situation that it neither feels intrusive, nor is enough to bring the flood of tears on yet again. I really appreciated that more than anything. Both of my dogs were euthanized at the end of the day, and Bobbie Ruth was kind enough to arrange after hours drop off with me so that I did not have to rush through the already sad and stressful process. I love that home or vet pick up is an option, but was glad Bobbie Ruth encouraged me to bring my dog in the first time. The refection room brings a sense of peace and the feeling like your beloved pet isn’t being dropped off to a cold facility-​makes walking away just a little easier. I feel like the beautiful wood table that the dogs were laid on was like a sacred altar for them — just what they deserve for being such loyal, beautiful creatures. It’s the little things that make the experience; like that she goes out of the reflection room to her office and turns up her music just loud enough to give privacy while you have your final moments with your pet. And as promised, the care package was ready both times within 72 hours. When I lost my boy 15 months ago and used my own vet for cremation, it was a two week wait, which I didn’t know until I called to check, worried he was lost. I also highly recommend getting the clay paw print. Those are in a way more comfort to me than having my dogs’ ashes. Finally, I am also happy to support a local business that provides discounts to the various local rescues. As a hospice foster for Old Dog Haven myself, I know how quickly expenses add up for these wonderful organizations, and that kind of community support speaks volumes. No one wants to think about or have to use cremation services for our beloved pets, but Life Cycle is definitely the best option around when the need arises.

Losing my best friend was an awful experience but I was able to have her after care done with respect and dignity. I am so pleased with the experience from the first call to last conversation when I picked up my aftercare package, that I wanted to share with others that are in need of these services. Our 16 ½ year old Shiba Inu came to the end of his life recently and we had him cremated at Life Cycle Pet Cremation in Bellingham. Although we prepared as much as we could in his nearing departure, nothing could prepare us for the pain and loss we experienced.
We are so thankful to Bobbie Ruth and Life Cycle because her work and services helped us in our time of difficulty. From beginning to end, our dog was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. His body was handled with great care and integrity. The reflection room, where we placed our dog’s body and said our final good-​byes, was very clean, it was warm and we felt peaceful there. When we picked up the After-​Care-​Package, our dog’s cremated remains, we could tell that the contents of the package were handled and put together with care and thoughtfulness. We are extremely glad that we chose Life Cycle and feel so fortunate because it helped us find peace in knowing that we were able to «send him off» with the highest regards rather than leave his body at the vet’s. Our sweet old boy loved us unconditionally for his whole life and it was the least we could do for him.
We will always remain in gratitude to Bobbie Ruth and for Life Cycle Pet Cremation; for her standard of excellence in the service, for her compassionate way of treating both pets and their humans, and for being an important and hugely valuable part to not only our own pet loss process, but to our entire pet owner’s community here in Whatcom County.

This is my first review on Unilocal but I felt that her great service deserved the review. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like she really cared about both me and my bunny. She never seemed like she was in a hurry to make me leave. She let me stay with him as long as I wanted and she made the process as simple as possible.
