Outstanding service and excellent food and drinks. The employees are always friendly and helpful and willing to cater to special requests on menu items. I will go back again and again

Went here for cinco de mayo. Obviously the first mistake. Way way too busy. Okay I can deal. Chips and salsa were good. Fresh. Drinks, come on. We ordered some generic house margaritas while we were waiting which were 8 bucks a piece and they tasted like junk. Come on. Dinner just got some quesadillas(chicken and cheese) ten bucks! And they were nothing special. Other people’s meals looked good but I think they were very very pricey. My draft bud light — 4.50! And there were specs in my cup. I didn’t even bother to ask for a new one, our waitress was as old as my grandmother and totally overworked. I’m hoping all this nonsense was due to cinco de mayo, but hello — Mexican restaurant– this is your day! I won’t return. There are MANY many more cheaper better places than this joint.

We like to get a new restaurants in Bellingham. We stopped by for weeknight dinner and drinks. Service was a little slow at the bar, but food and drinks were good.

I’ve been in a few times now, I have not been particularly impressed with any of the food I have tried. I find it all to be rather bland. I will give three stars however for the killer margaritas and the chips and salsa which a are both kick ass! If you’re looking for a light snack and a great margarita I suggest this place

Was not impressed. No beers on draft, yet they have a draft selection on the menu. Ordered the Enchiladas Con Sosa Roja. First bite was just gross. The chicken was dry and flavorless and the sauce as another person at my table described it as «day old baby food.» Waitress and bartender were nice enough to to switch it out for me. Ended up getting the chicken nachos. Once again chicken was dry and flavorless and cheese wasn’t even melted. It’s nachos melted cheese is kinda the selling point. At this point we just wanted to leave and get some edible food. Other people in my party had a steak fajita and a chicken quesadilla. They both agreed the food was just very underwhelming and boring. Everything just seemed pre packaged out of a can or a bag. Nothing seemed homemade or that there was any effort put into the dishes. Defiantly prefer Plaza Mexico down the street. Again thank you to our server and bartender. Hopefully this place can make it. We however won’t be going back.

In one word, gross. The place was very dirty and the waitress smelled like an ashtray. The food was simple, dry and tired. The flavors were bland, the meat was dry, and everything tasted like it had been sitting out for the entire day. I really wanted to like this place, but they spent all the energy on the décor and not on the food. I wish them luck, but the leftovers went to the dog.

Wow I thought it was gonna be another cheap Mexican joint with microwave food. Turns out the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. Definitely going back for some more chicken enchiladas and beer!

An excellent and reasonably-priced Tex &/Mex in Bellingham, close to our house. Good drinks and very good food, friendly and fast service. Highly recommended. Tonight was mole poblano and chilis rellenos, both tasty.

We went there on a Saturday night just to drink at the bar after going to the movies at the Lux in Foxboro. The restaurant wasn’t very busy but not empty. The GOOD: the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We got our drinks fairly quick, but like I said it wasn’t busy especially for a Saturday night. The BAD: my date and I ordered margaritas and fried ice cream. I mention the Lux in the beginning because if you didn’t know, it is a movie theater that you can have drinks and food during the movie. My date was lit up after the movie. We ordered the margaritas and my date ended up sobering up. These drinks were very watered down. We also had fried ice cream… not good at all. As a matter of fact, it was gross. We peeled off the caramel breaded stuff on the ice cream and just ate the ice cream. Even the whip cream tasted bad. I gave three stars because the staff was so great. The food and drinks is one star. This is one of those restaurants you want to do well because it is in your town, but unfortunately I don’t see it lasting long.

Just wanna start off by saying– wow! They did a really great job redecorating & remodeling this place. Look beautiful & feels inviting. They have great margaritas– well they have great margarita GLASSES– & they have a select signature margaritas that are really amazing(cougarita), but if those dont jump out at yah, the classic ‘watermelon’ or ‘razzberry’ margaritas are what youre left with. Literally, a house margarita and then added flavoring. Once they find some good receipts thats an easy fix. No tap yet, be easy on them. Lots comes into factor(not $$ related) i think anything listed with shredded chicken should be requested with grilled chopped chicken. Tastes AMAZING. If you tried something with shredded chicken & werent a fan, I recommend you give it a second chance with just that one switch. Superb! Chips & salsa are still my #1 But i LOVE the Chicken Quesadilla with Chopped up chicken, lettuce, lime, pico Maybe they could consider switching to coke products. Their pepsi/sierra mist weren’t too tasty In order to be successful, management should be kept at management. Enjoying your customers, but finding boundaries is where the issue lies. Ive seen a lot of reviews about regulars getting better service. Those people are already coming back. Pay attention to the people who just wanted to come get a drink, but seem to be not able to. What if now they’ll never come back to give you business. Maybe they need more structure no matter how hard they might not want it. Great space, great food potential, tons of tequila to take advantage of, it really could be something great with the right advertising. Utilize your resources. Don’t let people come to you already on a bad start based off of what someone else had to say. z

Visited this weekend for first time and had read Unilocal reviews before the visit. For reference, my family and friends have patronized Plaza Mexico in Woonsocket for years and always get good affordable food there, plus the freshly made table-side guacamole which is always terrific. I also go to La Tapatia in Marlboro, which has very good food(tacos to die for), and have visited that taco stand on 126 just over the Woonsocket border a few times. This restaurant took over the space that the failed«The Uncommon Place» had which was Patriots before that. We had eaten at TUP before and thought it was pretty bad. Jalapenos, the new owners, gave the place a fresh coat of paint and new lighting fixtures, they also cleaned up the second room and put full seating in it. Unfortunately, they left the same old booths and nasty seating cushions that are old and uncomfortable. It certainly looks nicer than TUP but it’s surface stuff mostly. Down to the food and service. We were there on a Friday night, and at dinnertime the place was not 1⁄3 full from what we could see. Which made the fact that it took 5 – 10 minutes for a server to make an appearance at the table surprising. Took longer still to get chips and Salsa. Disclaimer: I’m kinda old school about restaurants; I feel like once seated, you should be greeted in a minute or 2 — and if it’s a breakfast place, they should bring coffee. If it’s a Mexican place, they should bring chips and salsa, and you should be able to place an order for that Margarita or Cerveza and get that cold drink ASAP. I’ll make the rest of this shorter — menu very expensive for Mexican, esp in our area, and probably 30−40% higher than Plaza Mexico. We tried their guacamole — $ 10 for an order, not freshly made tableside. It was OK. For entrees, I got the Mole Poblano, which was fine — not bad but nothing special. It was lukewarm like it had been sitting a while. BTW, other Unilocalers have said their sides are much better than typical Mexican places, but they just served back beans instead of refried) My wife got an entrée(I forget the specifics) that also was fine, not bad, not especially great. We both got margaritas, and they were typical run of the mill drinks. Again, not bad, not great. They were also on the expensive side, and the glasses they were served in were actually warm(you could feel it when holding them). Plaza Mexico opened a new location on the east end of Bellingham and I hear it’s as good as the one in Woonsocket. The owners of Japapeno’s were quoted as saying that they didn’t know PM was opening in the town also, but that there was room for 2 Mexican places in Bellingham. I don’t think so — I feel it’s likely only one will make it. Unless Jalapenos fixes there services and lowers their prices significantly or makes their food\drinks much better, I’m probably going to continue to go to PM either in Bellingham or Woonsocket.

If you love Traditional Mexican cuisine… You will LOVE this place! Jalapenos Mexican Grill in Bellingham MA is by far the best Mexican food outside Boston… did I say Boston, OK in a previous life I lived in CA and this place matches that. Oh, did say I actually spent some time in MX well, yes and this place fits the bill of AUTHENTIC! Give them a try and I am sure you will return. The food is fantastic, the service you will not find another in the Tri-State area to compare! Not fine cuisine but FINE Mexican at its best and service to match any of the finest restaurants you’d pay much more for! Their Margaritas… well, that’s another story for another day… OK, for today… the BEST! For the other local places that call themselves Mexican… you have another thing coming and… It is called… wait for it… wait for it… Jalapenos Mexican Grill Bellingham, MA!

I was very excited to drop by Jalapenos, and see how they would fare against comparable Mexican restaurants such as Plaza Mexico and Acapulco’s. The interior was very spacious and the décor was well considered. I like the two large bars with inset tile, the stage in the back half that can be used for live music, and the bench/chair seating by the windows. Our server was very attentive. Thumbs-up for the house margarita I had(er, two). My wife and I both had steak quesadillas. They were delicious, but sparse. My wife’s first beer was warm, and I was disappointed that the menu advertised draft beers, but none were available. For whatever reason, the restaurant was cold and drafty. I recognize that most of these issues are likely start-up pains(like their street-side banner misspelling the restaurant’s own name«Jalepenos»), and look forward to going back and tasting more of the menu. I’d guess I would ultimately rate them four stars once they gain momentum.

A nice interior with good potential. Service is slow, food is expensive: $ 11 margaritas and most main dishes for $ 20. Our food was tasty but arrived cold. My sister ordered a veggie quesadilla for $ 11.99, tiny half of a tortilla alone on plate with nothing on the side.

Authentic and tasty! This place also has a second bar and entertainment room for bands! I had the chile relleño which was fabulous. My better half had a corn wrapped — we can’t remember the name. It was fabulous. Homemade salsa and chips free app. We ordered guac which was fresh and tasty. They spent a lot in renovations. Place looks great and the service was great also. It will do well no doubt!!!
