Being ever so humble… everything I do is special. After graduating from UW dental school in 1983 (Everybody had such big hair then!), I immediately continued my dental education with the US Dental Institute in orthodontics.

Early on, my focus was children’s dentistry and wire and bracket orthodontics, but arranging teeth into great smiles got me interested in cosmetic dentistry, so I learned from the best (Dr. John Kois and Dr. Frank Spear are known by every English speaking dentist in the world) and became a credentialed member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, serving several times as a judge in their annual Smile Gallery competition. I was invited to become a mentor/​teacher for the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies, though that organization proved to be short lived.

I had drifted away from pediatric dentistry, focusing on the challenges of rehabilitating adult dentitions. When Invisalign became available for use, I went to Boston to learn and begin using their product. Since that time I have become the largest single provider of Invisalign in the Northwest.

Our Seattle area locations are strictly to provide Invisalign no-​braces orthodontics for teens and adults.

When Invisalign was first introduced in 1999, we began offering this amazing type of orthodontic appliance instead of braces for most of our adult patients. With the introduction of Invisalign Teen, we now can handle most any orthodontic situation without the use of unsightly brackets and wires. Dr. Knudson has now done 1,200 cases with Invisalign.

Married 30 years to Rose. Two daughters — Kelsey and Madeline. Currently a Program Director for the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies and a Top 1% Elite Provider of Invisalign. Previously served as director for post-​graduate education for the Canadian Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and President of the Mastermind Dental Study Group.
