Established in 2011.
Chuckanut Bay Distillery was established in 2011 by Matt Howell and Kelly Andrews, two friends who love Bellingham and are passionate about the craft of producing the highest quality spirits possible with no shortcuts.

Business Owner
Matt’s a renaissance man — a former competitive soccer player, avid cyclist, voracious reader, and a heck of a singer. For many years, Matt experimented with home brewing, winemaking, and distilling as a passion and a hobby. After years of scheming Matt and his friend Kelly decided to take the plunge and open a craft distillery. They coined the term «slow crafting» to describe their approach — everything from scratch, locally sourced whenever possible, and no shortcuts.
