Camel Safari offers a premier camel adventure in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Activities include camel rides, in-depth and hands-on educational camel encounters, and bottle feeding baby camels!

History

Established in 2013.

Camel Safari, located in rural Bellingham, Washington, first opened its doors to the public in May 2013. It was met with resounding success as people from all over the United States and Canada (and other countries, too!) arrived to ride and get up-close and personal with these amazing creatures.

Farm owner Guy Seeklus, MBA, was an already-successful business owner in other industries. He had acquired a few camels as pets, but it didn’t take long for him to realize that the public would be thrilled to meet these highly intelligent and social animals. He wanted to establish a premium quality camel experience, with the best quality facilities, staff, and animals. He was and continues to be successful in offering camel encounters that are safe, fun, educational, and heart-warming for individuals, families and friends alike.

Meet the Business Owner

Guy S.

Business Owner

Guy Seeklus is the owner and President of Camel Safari. He first became interested in camels in 2010, and not long afterward he had purchased his first female Bactrian camel, Lexi. He was instantly enchanted. He found them to be extremely easy to train, cooperative by nature, and incredible comfortable with human interaction. Over the following two years, he obtained an additional 15 camels and counting and became passionate about offering an experience to the public that would allow others to interact with these amazing animals.
