Boardworks Tech Shop is a specialty boardshop located in Bellingham, WA. We carry a fantastic selection of longboard skateboards, a broad range of DIY tuning supplies, new and used snowboards, splitboards and other snow gear. We also offer extensive tune & repair services, custom split builds and high end gear consignments.

History

Established in 2014.

Boardworks Tech Shop (BTS) was founded with the intention of filling the demand for a more cost effective and professional quality solution for the world of splitboarding. Since opening in November, 2014, BTS has expanded from just tuning, repairing and building custom splits, to selling new and used snowboards and splitboards, tune and repair supplies, snow accessories, and Bellingham’s largest selection of longboard skateboards.

Meet the Business Owner

Johnny L.

Business Owner

Johnny grew up as a beach kid down in San Diego, CA. He first found his love for boardsports in the late 90’s and has been tuning and repairing his own boards since day one. After working some boardshop jobs down in Cali, Johnny moved to Seattle, WA to get after some real powder mountains. He landed a job working at one of the most iconic boardshops, Snowboard Connection (Snocon). After a year of working the sales floor, owners John and Adam gave the kid a shot in the repair shop alongside another talented tech, known as Parko. Johnny was able to refine his skills as a tech and splitboard builder when Parko left Snocon to start his own venture. Johnny worked as head repair tech there for another three years, establishing himself amongst the snowboard community. Right around the time Snocon closed their doors for good (RIP), Johnny moved up to Bellingham to start a service dominant, specialty boardshop focused on building custom splits. Thus, Boardworks Tech Shop was born.
