I love this place so much more than Casa Que Pasa because: It tastes fresh and real and not deep fried. I don’t feel like I gained 10 pounds after I leave. SALSABAR! So fresh and amazing. The ranch burrito is so amazing. I love it here.

The argument of what is the best burrito in Bellingham ends with Banditos. What you’ll find is a crafted burrito with quality ingredients, fresh veggies, and overall a huge burrito that doesn’t taste like it was deep fried in a trash can. Top it all of and you can find one of the most incredible and extensive salsa bar’s on the planet. Advice: Pile on the cilantro sunrise and northwest red salsa onto your burrito and you will leave a happy human being. Go for the chicken deluxe burrito with mixed beans, but if you want to change it up, go for the toad mountain melt. Super yum on both of those. A more recent upgrade in the last year or two is that new management finally took over the place, they made the size and proportions of the burritos more consistent, added debit/credit payment, and they also cleaned the place up, a huge plus.

Do you want jumbo burritos for a cheap price? This is the place to go. They have a large selection of burritos and cook them up right there in just a couple minutes. Beans(refried and black), Rice, chicken, beef, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, tomato, lettuce, olives etc. My favorite is the yam burrito and runs about 6 $. The menu says yam enchiladas, but you can ask for it in burrito form and it is fabulous! The best part about banditos is the salsa bar. You can have as much as you want and they have about 8 varieties that are made fresh daily. Chipotle, classic, pineapple, cilantro, garlic and many more. The sunspot is particularly good, which is quite spicy and is made of pineapple and habaneros. The candy ginger is my favorite! Ginger and pineapple based. Each is marked with a spiciness rating up to 5 stars so you don’t burn your mouth off unexpectedly. Sodas are served, beers and a cooler with various other bottled beverages. Indoor seating and they bring you your food. Quite nice and I enjoy going here when I have a burrito craving.

This is a great place to get a huge burrito very very cheap. A friend introduced me to this place when she ordered out for a crew of people helping her with a home remodel project. Everyone loved the burritos! Since then I’ve become a fan, especially when I first went in the place and discovered the great salsa bar. Now I’m a bigger fan when I went in the other day for a late lunch and was told it was«happy hour», $ 1 off any burrito 2:00 to 3:00PM. Good, cheap food even cheaper, WOW! I’ll give them 4 stars because let’s face it, it’s not gourmet and no table service, but«in it’s class» I would give them 5 stars.

I LOVEBANDITO’S. I love it so much that one drunken night back in Bellingham(after I moved back to Seattle and before I knew they changed their hours to stay open late late late) I called at 1:15 in the morning just hoping… I don’t know. Well they answered, and long story short, I got really excited. I love the Toad Mountain Melt. Portions are huge, the space isn’t anxiety-inducing and I love their salsas, made fresh every day. Especially the Barbecue and the Candy green ones. Nom nom nom nom.

Love the quaint, friendly and unique restaurant. Simple menu! Wonderful salsa bar with 10 different selections ranging in hotness! Must add yams to whatever you get! I know weird but incredibly delicious!

I’ve been here a number of times over the years. They have always been fresh and good. I especially like the variety of salsa available. Lots of veggie options and healthy options. Everything is big and yummy. I wouldn’t call it «authentic» but it’s still good.

This is tough town to be a standout for Mexican food. I like the new owner /longtime employee. I think thats great! I boycotted Banditos for years because they only took cash and honestly I don’t know if that has changed. This time through I had a standard chicken burrito and it was good. The chicken was a little bit tough to chew and thats why I’m going with three stars. The flavors were good and the portion was just right but the chewy chicken was a disappointment. I definitely will keep coming back and trying different things on the menu til I find my favorite but for now Banditos will not be my first choice.

The best part of giving this fine establishment business is that it’s a local place. Beside that, the food is great, quick, and cheap. It’s also behemoth sized.

I had the Ranch chicken burrito here and it was good. It does taste healthier than your Taco Del Mars. The staff is friendly too.

I’ve been eating at Bandito’s for years(10+). The food quality is always excellent and consistent. Added… Well, I still love this place, but I do have to say, since the new owners took over, the portions have gotten significantly smaller. One burrito used to feed me for 2 meals, now I’m not full after one. Somewhere in between perhaps? Food and service are still good, but definitely not the value it once was. Added… Been going back more, everything has been great and the size of the portions is much more in line with that it ‘used to be’. Service is great too!

I hate it when people drag you to Taco Del Mar which is across the way, and tell you their food is somehow better. I love banditos and there is no way I am going to change my mind. Update: Since the new owners have taken the business over, my opinion on the place has changed. Their food portions are much smaller. I use to be able to bring home at least a quarter of a burrito, now I eat the whole thing and are left still hungry.

I used to work at Bandito’s Burritos years and years… okay, and years ago… when I was in college at Western. I can’t tell you how amazing the owners, Gerry and Zoe are, and how much they care for their employees and guests! The food is as clean and healthy as you would expect… nothing but fresh vegetables, slow-cooked meats and salsas made daily from scratch! It is most defnitely the best deal in town… and you’re supporting an amazing company and family! P. S. When you’re in there ask Gerry the best mountain bike trail of the day… he’s the local expert!

Banditos is AMAZING. The food is always fresh and healthy. I believe they make their salsa’s fresh daily as well(which by the way are incredible). The owner and the rest of the staff at banditos are always very friendly. It is a really great relaxing place for lunch or dinner.

Bandito’s is my favorite place for a lunchtime burrito for a couple reasons: Their burritos are incredibly filling without making me feel heavy, and full of fresh ingredients. The windows are fun to sit in, and the atmosphere is casual. And of course, the salsas. I have a particular fondness for the pineapple ones. You won’t find such wonderful salsas anywhere else in town. Remember to bring cash, though, as they don’t take cards.

My favorite place for burritos or lunch or dinner. These burritos are huge, enough for 2 meals, filled with fresh ingredients. I love chicken with mixed beans, cheese and gucamole. They have a salsa bar so you can choose what ever flavors you fancy. So take a friend and share or bring some home for a snack. Oh I miss belingham.

Bandito’s was my favorite place to eat while up at school. Their burritos are HUGE and filled with ridiculous amounts of delicious goodness. I would usually eat half and refrigerate the rest for later. My favorite is the deluxe burrito with chicken, mixed beans(a mix of refried and black beans), brown rice, salsa, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and black olives. The chicken is so tender and full of flavor, it makes me salivate to even think about it. I know, kinda gross, but it’s true. The owners are a couple who I think I read have owned the restaurant for over 10 years. They’re super nice people, and remember their regulars. They frown on MSG, lard, preservatives, coloring, and additives(info taken from their website), and that was always a huge plus for me. Try the salsa bar, which is rotated often to include new concoctions. And don’t forget to start a punch card! For every 10 stamps you collect, you get a free burrito! Believe me, once you try it, you’ll rack up those stamps in no time.

Bellingham has an abundance of restaurants to get a burrito. Banditos makes a darn fine burrito that on its own is above average due to their use of fresh simple ingredients. However that’s not why this place is so good. I like to think of the burritos served at Banditos as the canvas upon which I paint using the exquisite salsas prepared fresh daily. Salas range from barely any spice to quite hot. Not crazy hot but no way are the 5 star salsas tame. There are some standards but you’ll also find the more experimental varieties. Try them all and you’ll grow to appreciate them. Some produce a slow all over burn. Others deliver heat to the front of the tongue with the slow burn occurring toward the back of the throat. Mixing and matching means you can have endless fun trying their salsas. Bring your dead presidents or yuppie food stamps cause they don’t take plastic.

I went in here one time, pulled out my debit card and got snarled at like I was from the future. If you are in the 21st century and don’t want to walk across the street to give BofA(don’t bank there) 2.00 then don’t eat here.

Sometime my tummy’s a-growlin and nothing will do but a deluxe burrito from Bandito’s. They don’t skimp on the good stuff(guacamole, sour cream and cheese), and everything on the menu is über-fresh. Be sure to sample a few of the homemade salsas they offer at their salsa bar, but trust them when it’s labeled *hot*. Oh, and the garlic lover’s is not for the faint of heart(or breath). One drawback: they only take cash or checks, so hit the ATM beforehand.
