Advantage Tutoring Center brings to Whatcom County a new approach to education, especially suited for anyone from those with learning disabilities to those who need acceleration in a particular subject. ATC knows that all people learn differently and we want to work with the students within the scope of their abilities, to help students build self esteem, and train them in successful methods of comprehension.

About Mary Morrison– Director of Advantage Tutoring Center–

Mary has always had a heart for teaching. She has done everything from teaching in both the Public and Private school sectors to tutoring and being involved in the home-​school organization. Mary received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Math Minor (K-​12), and then went on to get her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Reading) from the University of Washington. She has a passion for seeking out new and unique methods of teaching in order to provide kids with a successful path to understanding. She has really enjoyed partnering with the public school system to give children and youth the best possible chance to succeed. Mary had always had a dream of opening her own tutoring center to provide more educational options for kids in Whatcom County. In 2009 she opened Advantage Tutoring Center with a focus of building self confidence in students.
