Walked in to get my boys hair cut and was immediately(rudely) turned away. Reason being they had too many customers to do. Walked away a Lil upset and any alked in next door tke care of my sons hair. When I walked back to my car the salon was empty and everyone in the place that was«waiting» left as a group. The lady simply put her head down as i walked by. As a small business owner… I can’t imagine doing this to anyone. Horrible horrible service.

Been getting my haircut here for about 2 – 3 months now. The lady does a good enough job for the price you pay($ 10). For the price it’s a steal considering some places in the city charge about $ 40 a pop. Only recommending I have is if you’re a young guy looking for the newest trends of hair style, you may want to elsewhere. Still a legit spot though.

I came here through a referral of a friend. Her hair looked great(she had a highlight done). i’ve gotten my hair cut and highlighted twice here. The first time, the highlight was so natural looking that it was barely noticeable. The haircut was just okay, nothing any super cutter couldn’t do. Minimal effort there. Also, both times she cut my bangs too short. She doesn’t ask how long, she just cuts. This was bad especially since this last time I went, my wedding was the following week. Also, the highlight was way too light on one side and not close enough(about ½ inch away) from the roots so it looked weird and like i needed to get my highlights touched up! She charged me the first time $ 45 for haircut and highlight and the last time $ 50 for haircut and highlight because i wanted more noticeable highlights. I’d say if you decide to go here, be very specific as to what you want. Don’t let her cut your hair until you show her just how much you want cut off. Communication is a bit hard, because her primary language is Korean. Probably will not come back here, but it’s a decent job for a low price. The owner is really nice too, so it’s hard to get mad at her, even though she messed up.

I’ve been going to this shop for almost 10 years. I don’t do trendy stuff. I want my cut nice and neat every time. Over time, my preference did change a bit over time. She managed to keep me happy. I had one place for 10 years back in Philly. Now this place is my place in CA for 10 years. If you don’t think fancy $ 30 salons in K-Town isn’t doing a good job for you, you should try this one. It’s like having your mom do your hair. Good caring mom version that is… haha I used to do «sporty» cut in 20’s. It is aka. «California style». Now I do what she calls«high class» style. A bit longer & conservative look. For a conservative Korean guy like me, it works fine.

If you are looking for a quality haircut at a cheap price then this is it! It’s run by a very nice korean lady with many years experience. My mom and I have been going here since… well forever. She even did my hair/makeup for my high school formal. Even though I’ve tried pricier salons, I keep going back here because she always cuts my hair they way asian hair is supposed to be cut. That’s not to say that she only deals with asian customers. In fact I’m quite sure she has more non-asian clientele on any given day. That’s because a shampoo, cut, AND blowdry will only cost you about $ 20. So I never feel bad about tipping generously.
