Mapledale Preschool in Bellflower, CA was founded with a mission to provide quality, affordable in home childcare for children ages infant through school age. We offer a warm caring in-​home learning environment while at the same time providing a variety of interesting activities which will open a new world of discovery and adventure. With over 30 years of experience in early childhood education we encourage a positive attitude toward education and provide a curriculum enriched program geared toward all age groups. Whether you need full-​time care or part-​time care our program is balanced to meet the needs of all children.

History

Established in 2014.

Mapledale Preschool in Bellflower, CA was created to provide quality, affordable childcare for children ages 8 weeks through school age. We have built a reputation of providing a quality program in a relaxed, warm and nurturing home atmosphere that allows children to develop and thrive. Our philosophy encourages a positive attitude toward education and provides a curriculum enriched program geared toward all age groups. We empower children to embrace a hands-​on approach in exploring their world using all their senses through a variety of developmentally appropriate materials and enrichment activities.

Mapledale Preschool offers a fully functioning classroom as well as a backyard filled with flowers, grass and age appropriate play equipment. We are committed to integrity, honesty and communication with parents and feel that those qualities are of the utmost importance in any childcare setting.

Meet the Business Owner

Sandy K.

Business Owner

As the owner and Lead Teacher, she began working with children in 1980. She received her Early Childhood teaching permit in 1989 and attended CSUN for her School Administration Program in 1990. Upon completing her teacher training program she worked in classrooms as a lead teacher and another 10 years as a School Director. After working in large private schools, Sandy decided to open a small program in her home and strives to create a setting that celebrates the arts, academics, and is respectful of each child, their personality and unique strengths. The result is an environment that is geared to expand the horizons of each child’s mind and encourage their inner desire for creativity and discovery. Sandy is current and certified in CPR, First Aid and has completed various Art, Cultural, Reading and Music training for children.
