Very fast service with delicious food. The owner and staff were all really helpful and welcoming. Will come back for sure!

This place is nasty and disgusting the two old Asian owners are extremely rude. The restrooms are disgusting and dirty. And the food is terrible run from this place I even saw a cockroach under one of the tables. I’m very disappointed a waste of money

I’m a burger guy, so I decided to give this place a try. The prices are ok, but my bacon avocado cheese burger was way below my expectations. The bacon tasted old and dry the fries had no flavor as I had to put salt on them repeatedly. These mom and pops places are hits or misses. This place is a MISS.

I can honestly say that I have driven by this place hundreds if not thousands of times before ever stepping foot through the door. Over the past couple of years I have really came into a zone and began to develop a love for a good hamburger(was never a fan as a kid) and decided to finally stop in and give this place a try. My wife and I decided to pick up burgers on the way to my mom’s house for dinner and this seemed like as good of an option as any. The parking lot is very small but usually not crowded and we managed to get one right outside the door. Walking in you can see that the place has a very large and varied menu which comes with both its positives and negatives. The menu consists of full breakfast items as well as your standard American fare such as hamburgers, hot dogs and sandwiches but also features a Mexican menu as well as Asian food options. I have heard that the place was sold by a Latino family to a Korean family and that’s when the Asian food was added to the menu. As we walked up to the counter to order we noticed that none of the food offered any notations about what was actually in the dish or what it came with. My wife asked the worker what came on their standard hamburger and instead of any sort of explanation or help they simply pointed at the picture on the counter below. The picture was misleading as the burger came with additional toppings not shown(that we wanted excluded) and we must’ve had to repeat the order on 3 – 4 occasions before they finally got it down. The burger itself was your standard quality burger found at burger joints all over the area. There was nothing extraordinary about anything we tried but it was good. I am not sure that the place is worth a repeat visit from me for a burger but I have heard many good things about the breakfast burritos so I may have to stop in sometime to give them a try. A very average burger joint with some major communication issues when ordering. The staff seemed nice but if I have this much trouble finding out what’s on a burger and placing an order it’s hard to see myself coming back too frequently.

One star is pretty generous. The restaurant just screams dirty and unsanitary. Only one person working the counter and waiting on people. The food was way bellow mediocre, not very hot and i didn’t feel too safe eating it. I wished I would have taken my money elsewhere. First and last visit there FORSURE!!!

Originally, this place was owned by a Latino family who sold it to a Korean family; they then added all of the extra pan-Asian dishes. It’s a dingy, old diner with yummy ghetto food and hilarious, grumpy service. Don’t expect anything more. The TV is always too loud, you have to pay for refills(unless you’re a regular), and there are always teenagers ditching school to hang out. This is what you get here. You can’t use the bathroom unless you’re a customer, so get over it. They’ve been strict on that policy for over 20 years – it keeps the riff-raff out. The staff are extremely wonderful to the regulars. If you’re a hipster, foodie-type with high expectations, I suggest you don’t eat here. Leave it to the rest of us. We like our divey diner the way it is.

This is my first time here and probably my last. When I walked in the place felt cold and empty. There wasn’t any customers here and the pictures of the food should tell you a lot. Terrible. I ordered a cup of coffee and huevos rancheros. The coffee was horrid. Probably sitting for hours. The food came out in 2 minutes, and was my first clue on how it was going to be. The tortillas were old and hard. The egg was basically a flat hard boiled excuse for an over easy egg. Pork was old and rice and beans seemed very old. As I write this review sitting in the booth I’m starting to feel sick. I’d save yourself the grief and head to del taco.

This is actually my first negative review on Unilocal, but this place had me so mad that it is definitely worthy of a FIRST time negative review. If there were a «0» star option, that is what I would choose. This review is not based on the food, because I did not eat here. It is solely based on customer service, or in my case… the complete lack of it and flat out rudeness substituted in its place. So I take my little five year old daughter into this joint so she could use the restroom, I had just picked her up from school and halfway home she decides to tell me that she can no longer hold her pee in, and that she needed to use the restroom pronto. So I happen to see this burger place as I was waiting at the red light, and I thought«hey, maybe we can use their restroom.» I proceed to walk into the restaurant with my daughter in tow and make a bee-line to the restrooms. The signs on the door say«Customers Only», so I proceed to walk to the cashier to ask for a key to the restroom. He begins to tell me that I need to ask the«boss» if I can use the restroom, and continues to point to an old asian man who was seated at one of the booths. When he sees me he gets up and heads behind the counter saying«fo custamah onry», without as much as cracking a smile. I have no problem with a restaurant policy to allow only guests to use the restrooms, so I proceed to tell the old man that I will gladly buy something in exchange for the flippin’ key. As this conversation is going on, a gentleman approaches the cashier and places an order(when I entered the restaurant, it was COMPLETELY empty.) At this point the old man pushes the cashier away to take the money and put it in the machine. All the while, completely ignoring my presence right in front of his face. The cashier(a latino man) looked hopeless and just shrugged his shoulders and pointed at the boss. After about 5 seconds of awkwardness, the old man still ignored me. At this point, my poor daughter is about to pee her pants, so I made a decision on principal alone that I would NOT be giving this establishment any of my hard earned money and proceeded to let the old man know that he could take the key and shove it you know where(well, at least that’s what I wanted to say, but I’m way too nice to ever do that.) Instead, I promptly grab my daughter’s hand and exit this god forsaken excuse for a restaurant and went down the street to the Burger King where my daughter was allowed to use their gritty restrooms. The moral of the story is that these fools have no idea what customer service is, and if you choose to give them your business then be forewarned that their service is beyond suck. I, for one, will not be coming back…

Good alternate spot for when I really don’t feel like cooking. I haven’t experimented with the whole menu as of yet, but everything I’ve had so far has been good. It’s a greasy spoon type of place, and not quite on par with one of the chain places but good in its own right. The prices are cheap and agree with what you get. La Cocina still has my vote over this place, but if I find out La Cocina offers eggs and chorizo, this place might not see me again for a while.

After seeing Lily A’s burrito photography on Instagram and reading newly acquainted Elite buddy ReBecki P.‘s praise for this place, it was only natural for me to crave a breakfast burrito. Instead of going to my original destination Los Alazanes(they also have a tasty breakfast burrito as well), I decided to come here for a change scenery. Old Asian Cashier Lady and the Young Latino Cook, made for an excellent duo after hearing a bit of their kitchen banter. It took me 10 minutes until I got the burrito. Let’s just say this burrito is definitely filling and you get your money’s worth, my only qualm with this place is I wish there were more sausage and bacon in my burrito(I think I got ¾th’s hash browns alone). Another tip for you foodies(or Unilocalers which ever you associate yourselves with), I would highly suggest adding the thai chili sauce as an essential condiment when eating this burrito. It’s a game changer at least for me and provided a good wake up call. Overall, a nice little hole in the wall in the corner of Bellflower/Cerritos area. Hopefully I’ll discover more in the near future. Cheers. 4 stars.

$ 5 for a sausage breakfast burrito?! That’s just crazy. Meh. Boring. I am going to give this place just ONE more chance. Just to try it with ham and chorizo. I love mom and pops places and this is totally it, but I really hope that the next time I try it, it’ll be worth it. Otherwise I’ll stick to the $ 3 ones at work…

Ok, this place to me it’s typical burger joint food maybe a notch above and better than Mcdonald’s. I ordrered a coffee, love that they have flavored creamers out like Irish cream, hazelnut and french vanilla. I ordered the french toast that came with etiher sausage or bacon, and eggs. It eggs and bacon are good, the french toast bread though was surely beyond day old and generic bread. I think that was holding it back. The burritos comes with cheap cheese which get rubbery when melted, thick hasbrowns not crunchy enough outside more soft, and your choice of meat from bacon, ham or chorizo. I got ham & chorizo, which was good but still something was missing but good for local. The burrito has good size and soft flour tortilla. Friendly service, I would rather support this mom & pop shop than fast food joint any day!

I have been coming to BYM since I was in high school. They have great customer service.(even if the older Asian man is always messing with me lol). He just likes to have fun. The food is delicious. Trust me I’ve tried most of the menu. The price is fair for a mom and pops place, and you always leave feeling full. They’ve even got a flat screen t.v. now. Wish they had that back in high school lol. I take my wife and daughter’s there now, and they love it too. I’ll probably be eating bacon cheeseburgers there when I’m old and grey. Check it out, and support small businesses.

I woke up in a not so great mood this morning(a bad omen of things to come)…More than anything, I wanted to get the hell out of the house! I was twisted enough that I decided to go to work 4+ hours early… Hoping not to be incredibly obvious about it, I decided I would stop for breakfast along the way. Everyday, as I drive down Artesia Blvd, I see Burgers Y Mas, but have never had a reason to really go… until today! I walk in and immediately and from the entrance, I’m drawn to a breakfast burrito I see on the menuboard, stuffed with sausage, egg, hashbown and more. I make my way to the counter and see what appears to be a regular there chatting with Alberto, in English… Alberto responds in English. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that, but I decided to stick around. I waited at the counter to place my order and a gal who I’m guessing is the owner came out from the back. Ivan R: «I’d like the breakfast burrito» Owner: «Wadd kine yoo wan?» Ivan R: «Do you have like a gangsta breakfast burrito, like with everything?» Owner: «Yoo wan sausage, bacon or ham?» Ivan R: «Sausage…and could I get an Orange Bang, Juicy Whip, whatever they are here?» Owner: «Yoo wan salsa?» Ivan R: «Please…» I sat in the empty dining area, and realized that either this meal was a mistake or Burgers Y Mas is another victim of the tough economy.(apparently, nobody in Bellflower had $ 7 – 8 to spend on breakfast this morning). Within minutes my meal was ready( ). As I began to sip my ice cold Juicy Whip, I unwrapped my breakfast burrito and could tell just by looking, that this was going to be good… stuffed with egg, hashbrown, sausage and cheese that I could see through the well heated tortilla(I have become a bit of a tortilla snob over the past few years). I bit into it and was pretty happy, all the elements of this breakfast burrito complimented each other. Now this is not«The Best Breakfast Burrito Ever», so please don’t drive up from Lake Forest or something, but it’s pretty good considering there aren’t a lot of choices in the area, especially that early in the AM. I finished my meal and as I returned their Tabasco, I was sent off with a clear«Thank You…» I really appreciate that… I don’t do breakfast often, but I’ll be back…
