Bob’s crew did a nice job on my roof. They were quick and cleaned the area up good. The only thing I wished I knew is that the crew removed the rat proofing wire along the vents and did not tell me, until I had an attic problem. I would have had someone out to correct what was removed had I known. But, still I would recommend him.

Bob Anderson and his crew replaced my cedar shingled roof with Cedarlite and did a GREAT job. They tore off the old roof, added 3 skylights, did some work on my chimney, showed up on time, left the job site immaculate and finished the job on time and under the estimated cost. Bob was on site throughout the job and really a pleasure to work with. Bob Anderson is the best roofing contractor around. Seriously. I have worked with several roofing contractors. Bob Anderson is the ONLY one that I recommend.

Pros: — Owner affiliates himself with Sout Coast Shingle where upon signing on for a new roof, you pay South Coast Shingle for the materials. — Owner is friendly and prompt. Roofing Job is done in approximately 3 days & in 3 steps: 1) South Coast Shingle provides materials separately, 2) a separate team of workers tears off old roof, 3) Bob Anderson’s team are the ONLY ones who work on re-roofing portion while owner just supervises. Cons: — Owner writes bids and invoices all by hand. — Does not offer too many choices on roofing products when bidding. — Needs to use check & balance system to avoid errors in the type of materials offered to customers. — Does not provide a transparent way where a customer knows ahead of time or during a roofing job of how much it will cost additionally for materials such as receipts for additional materials purchased. This I’d say is the worse part of this process. — Owner adds NEW high charges at the end without receipts of materials purchased. If you do use this contractor, ask him to list EXACTLY what the additional % for replacing materials will be at the end and ask to have this written on your bid or some other way of transparency on your bid or request receipts of additional materials used instead of finding out at the end of a roofing job.
