Bellko Korean BBQ

It’s pretty good but it’s not worth $ 24, GEN’s which is a much better place is only $ 20 and the servings are larger. I HATE them bringing the noodles and macaroni salad in a tiny plate. Over all it’s good but not worth the price and they don’t have great service.

It was okay. A little pricey compared to other places. The service was good, but they were a little skimpy on the meat. There were six of us and when we ordered meat, they would only bring like three pieces of each. I left the restaurant still feeling hungry. And we had to ASK for kimchi and all six of us are Korean. Probably wouldn’t go there again.

First time eating Korean BBQ and it was delicious! The staff was really attentive and helpful when it came to recommending items on the menu, even learning to use chopsticks! I really enjoyed it and I’d definitely go back! Also, wasn’t too expensive for dinner, parking was convenient and nearby. :)

I actually really like this place! I’ve been here twice already, service was good, it was nice and quiet. No need to make long lines and your food is brought out right away. Will be my go-​to Korean BBQ place. It’s a must try!

By far the best AYCE kbbq spot outside of koreatown. Excellent service, great quality bachan and meats. Rice paper, steamed egg, sauces ect. Totally worth $ 20 bucks Per person

Comes here regularly at about once every 1 – 2 monthly. Great food good service. I love the LA Galbi the best but after three orders of that they tend to give us the fatty ones. Oh well.
Great with friends n family. N kids too.

My husband took me here on a whim last night since I was craving for KBBQ. We arrived at around 8:40PM and there was only one table occupied by a couple. Bad sign? Granted, it was on a weekday. Anyhoo, the guy told us last call will be at 9:20PM. Really? The place closes at 10PM. What’s the hurry? I was kinda annoyed about that. We ordered the AYCE for $ 20.99. Their meat menu is pretty limited compare to other KBBQ joints. I don’t really care since I eat mostly beef brisket but my husband is more adventurous. The beef brisket came out frozen and it wasn’t that marbled. It was a little dry. I’m not a fan. There was no kimchee with our banchan and I had to ask for it plus extra dipping sauce. We had to ask him to change the grill as well. It was black and charred when he came by a couple of times but didn’t even bother to offer to change it. By now we were the only patrons in the restaurant. Overall, I like that we didn’t have to wait for a table but don’t think I will go back.

Well how do I start this off. I had an amazing experience at this particular Korean bbq. I have been to multiple Korean bbq before, but this one just set the standards high. I usually critique in the following categories
* Customer Service
* Cleanness
* Quality /​pricing
These categories are essential for me personally. This restaurant had an amazing friendly service, love the black table top because it’s easier to tell if it’s clean or dirty. By far one of the cleanest Korean bbq restaurant I have see. Now for the best part the Quality /​taste of the food. The sides that are given are the following:
1. Macaroni salad
2. String relish
3. Kimchi
4. Cucumbers
5. Potatoes marinade in a red sauce
6. Noodles
7. Steam rice
8. Salad
The pricing for this restaurant is great not too expensive, just right. The Quality of the food is great! The sirloin steak is so juicy the fat part of the steak extremely flavorful. The brisket so juicy as well but the marinated brisket was just an unforgettable taste. I can currently still taste it (it’s so good).
Honestly, I will be back because it seem pretty slow this Time around. I want to try this restaurant when it’s busy. So I can have the ability to grade them on their great customer service.

Great restaurant! Great service and great food! Definitely worth a try. We found this in search of an alternative to Gen in Cerritos which has seriously gotten out of control with the wait. Have been here four times already since finding it only a month ago!

The food is outstanding and the service is over the top, prices are bad eother, I would highly recommend this place.

I have never had a bad experience here that I can think of. If you love Korean bbq, then come here for sure. The selection is always fresh and the ambiance is nice. It is such a clean place. It’s not always the busiest but I think that is just because of the location. Bellflower is building up its downtown area and people are just learning about it. At bellkos, there is so much to choose from. They bring you all of the great sides if you get the all you can eat kbbq but there is sooo much to choose from. My favorite meats to get are the brisket and the marinated beef.

This place by far was the WORST Every Korean BBQ place I ever ate at, I had to flag Down all night trying to get some kind of dam meat, and there tofu soup was hella watery… And it took forever for them to bring extra sides. NASTY NASTY customer service !!

Came here tonight & I was very disappointed to say the least.
I FOUND A HAIR IN ONE OF OUR SIDE DISHES AND ALL THEY SAID WAS «do you want another one»… Not even a sorry.
The staff here was extremely rude and made a big deal when asked to do their job. Not once did they come to check on myself and my boyfriend, instead we had to try to call them over EACH AND EVERYTIME. Mine you, the place wasn’t even busy…
I would say this is a more expensive AYCE KBBQ place especially when they are so stingy! The lady was pist that I asked for another bowl of rice (it was only my second bowl). She also started off my assuming I didn’t want kimchi. Rude.
Overall, take the trip to one that’s further, you will get a bang for your buck.
I will not be coming back, ever.

I give this restaurant 1.5 stars on both customer service and food quality.
FOOD:
I can throw down tons of meat at a KBBQ joint and this place, especially for the price they charge for dinner ($ 20.99 and $ 23.99) are very skimpy. They only give you ONE slice of galbi per order, and literally just a small handful of whatever else you order. They were able to fit 3 meats on ONE regular sized plate on my first round of meat ordering… At other KBBQ joints, they’re bringing you SEVERAL plates with meat.
Not only were they skimpy on their meats, they were skimpy on their sauces. They give you probably about a tablespoon of brisket sauce and literally a dollop of chili sauce. Seriously?
Brisket was NOT GOOD AT ALL. The brisket was tough. I’ve literally had better quality brisket at a $ 10 AYCE KBBQ joint. Brisket is usually the constant meat ordered on every round… Here, we only ordered it on our first round and never ordered it again.
The galbi is decent. It’s a tad bit on the salty side. The delicious thing about kalbi is it’s sweetness, and you can tell they skimped on the sugar!
The marinated cubed beef was probably our favorite, even though we didn’t order it. We ordered pork jowl (cheek), but that came instead (but I’ll get into that in the customer service part of my review).
The BANCHAN was ok EXCEPT for the cucumber! STAY THE EFF AWAY from that!!! It’s fine at first bite then has this disgustingly strong after taste!!! BEWARE!!!
All in all, the food was… edible. Definitely not the 4 stars that this place already has. I don’t know if we came on an off-​day, but the only thing I give this joint is that I could eat the food and not get sick afterwards… yet. LOL.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
There were only TWO servers in the ENTIRE restaurant so, needless to say, service was terrible. We got there and there were tons of empty tables, yet, it took a good while just to get seated. Once we were finally seated, it took another good while before the server even came to our table to take our order…
We ordered water and hot tea, all we got was hot tea. Awesome. SMH.
We ordered our meats, and it took nearly 20 minutes before we got our skimpy plate of food. I don’t know if they were out back slaughtering the cow as we ordered, but, 20 minutes to get your food at a restaurant with a 2-​hour limit is sort of dumb. It wasn’t just that long of a wait for the first round… but pretty much EVERY ROUND.
One of the servers was very nice, but you could tell was new. I gave her a pass since we all know what it’s like being «the new kid». She had a great attitude and was very nice.
The other old korean lady, Cindy, on the other hand was the complete opposite. She had resting bitch face all night and got our order wrong every time we ordered from her. First round we ordered pork jowl (cheek), we got marinated cubed beef. Second round we ordered pork jowl, we didn’t get any thing at all (literally… our order never came). Third time, we ordered pork jowl, we get pork sirloin. WTF lady??? She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her every time we ordered or asked for something.
Lastly… the restaurant closes at 10PM, and right before 9PM, Cindy comes and tells us that it’s the last call for meat because the kitchen is closing… WTF??? It’s not even 9 and the kitchen is closing? How does that even make sense??? So, we order, and she says «well, if you don’t finish your meat, we’re charging you extra.» And I said, «yeah, i know. bring me my damn order». I was still STARVING at «last call» because they barely brought me any meat to begin with!!!
ALL IN ALL… I didn’t enjoy my experience and I will not be back! For the price they charge, I don’t feel I got my money’s worth in meat, since last call was only 45 minutes after we got there, and 25 minutes after our first round of meats hit the grill. Ridiculous!
My opinion is if you’re an frequent in KBBQ AYCE joints, stay away from this one! You’re better off going to a $ 9.99 AYCE joint. You’ll get better meat quality and you’ll actually probably get full.

This is my in-​laws go to KBBQ spot, so I’ve been here a few times. Few good things about this place are that the restaurant is big, the service is nice, there’s a big parking lot nearby, and they have a lot to offer with their meats and banchan.
However, I am not a big fan of their brisket and their grill. The brisket wasn’t very good… which is saddening for me because all I want for KBBQ is brisket, haha. Also the grills they use aren’t the best. It takes forever to cook the meat, and the melted fat hardly drips from the grill, its stays on top of the grill instead. if those two points can be resolved, I would be a fan!

Most kbbq places I’ve been to have terrible service but not Bellko. There is a 2 hour limit for all you can eat so having a waiter come to our table every 10 minutes was.

Besides the overwhelming amount of rules to eat food here, the food was delicious and our service was great.
Ask for Jake!!! He was accommodating, GREAT with kids, and super nice and ATTENTIVE.
Now for the rules…
*2 hr limit for unlimited Korean BBQ.
*You don’t finish your food, you have to get charged extra for the left over meat.
*Entire party must order unlimited Korean BBQ (meaning someone can’t just come to sit at your table and hang out)
*You can’t take home left overs
*The obvious for the females, don’t throw feminine products in the toilet which wasn’t an ridiculous request but it was posted 3 times in one stall.

Downtown Bellflower KBBQ, how things have changed. I grew up in Bellflower. I used to walk downtown and the most interesting store was the train shop. Now, it looks so nice, with restaurants lining up and down the street. Bellko being one of them.
We went to Red Palace first, but it was packed (10 names ahead of us) we were hungry and Wifey wanted Kbbq. If it was packed here, Gen Korea would be worst.
Plan C was Bellko.
When we got there, the place only had one other table occupied. Uh oh. But we were starving. I’m glad we stayed.
Service was excellent. They were very friendly and catered to our needs promptly and with a smile.
Here’s what we tried.
Brisket — this was just okay.
Marinated and cubed beef ribs — very good. So good, we had a second helping on this dish. It was very tender and tasty! Yum!
Pork Belly — Delicious.
Pork Jowl — good
Pork Sirloin — we ordered pork neck, but they brought the sirloin instead. This was just okay.
Pork Bulgogi — Delicious! Our second favorite of the night.
We got 7 banchans and they were all good. Specially the kimchi and pickled shredded radish.
Salad was good
Tofu soup and Steamed egg were both very good.
Price was on the high side considering the options they provided as compared to their competition.
An empty restaurant is usually a bad sign, but not here.
Rating 3 ½ stars rounding up for great service.
