William Buchanan takes a rational, even-​handed approach to every issue with an eye toward saving you money, time, and aggravation, as well as maintaining your important relationships. His goal is always protecting your rights and advocating for your best interests during negotiations, in mediation, or in the courtroom.

He assesses your case and offers you his opinion about the potential outcome if your case proceeds to court. If you are unlikely to prevail in a courtroom, he advises you to save your money and look for another form of resolution.

I have always been a sole practitioner who shared space with other attorneys. I have operated my office in Bellevue and Redmond.

Business Owner

I graduated from the University of Washington in 1974 with a Bachelor off Arts in Business Administration. I worked for a year before I entered law school. IN 1978, I graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law with a Juris Doctor Degree in 1978. I have practiced law continuously on the Eastside for over thirty-​four years. I am a member of the Washington State Bar Association, East King County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington. I have presented seminars on the interaction between bankruptcy law and family law to other attorneys.
