I was having trouble finding comfortable contacts so I decided to explore lasik. My insurance provided a discount for TLC so I went to check it out. The treatment at TLC of Bellevue was very thorough from the start and I felt like I was in good hands. They are experts and walked me through the process so there were no surprises. I am just 3 days out from my surgery and healing. The result is that I have better than ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. Dr. Patch was great and the surgery with Dr. Gillette was quick and successful. It is amazing that they can run you through the surgery in less than half an hour. I would recommend lasik and TLC of Bellevue to anyone looking for corrective eye surgery.

Do not go here!!! You are nothing but a number to them and all they care about is getting you in as soon as possible, getting your money, and getting you out. The doctors are very impersonal and if you say you want to think about it they make you meet with their office manager Liz who will try to hard close you like you are in a used car dealership. I asked to have a copy of my personal information back from them and they refused to give it to me. My eyes are one of the most important things and I am not going to trust my vision to a place where all they care about is getting your money, hard closing you, and are disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I care about.

Very friendly staff who all take great care of you before, during and after your procedure. I never once was concerned about receiving anything less than safe, well-​planned surgery. Yes their listed cost is more than other places, but it includes all the pre– and post– op visits with your eye doc, which most others don’t.
I took off a star because I felt like their sales is quite pushy in getting you scheduled quickly after a consultation. I also wished they had been more transparent about the cost of the prescription eye drops — mine are subject to deductible and the total for two prescriptions was $ 220!
So far a stellar result from my LASIK. I’d definitely recommend you go to TLC if you’re thinking about having it done.

I had a fantastic experience. The office is incredibly professional, accommodating, and there was always someone available when I had a question. No doubt I will refer my friends here if they are looking for ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision.

I put off getting LASIK for 15 years out of fear (lasers! in my eye!) and finally decided to just do it. I went to two places for a consultation, and TLC was more thorough, explained everything carefully and fully, and wasn’t very sales-​y. Dr. Patch is fantastic and down to earth and every member of the staff was great and easy to deal with. I was even able to ask some questions about the prescriptions via email and got quick responses!
The surgery itself was quick and painless.
I’m only 10 days out of surgery and my vision is nearly perfect and getting better each day. All my appointments have run on-​time and the checkups were quick and easy.

TLC has the best staff around. Let’s get that clear first. Dr. Patch is fantastic and puts your health first. I really wanted lasik, and the first place I went to said it was close but would do lasik anyway. Dr. Patch thought it would be safer for PRK and Dr. Bell agreed. Dr. Bell was a great surgeon. Becky the runs the front desk is someone who just has an aura of happiness. Kathy and Terri are both fantastic. Sandra is so friendly as well and takes care of you. It’s a great staff, and someone who I feel like I got to become friends with over my visits.
So you know the staff rocks? What about quality? I came in as ²⁰⁄₄₀₀ vison. 6+ with contacts were my prescription. I left after my last visit, I had ²⁰⁄₁₅ vision. Also some places will charge a standard fee, and then add an additional price to optimize it for you? That’s not fair pricing, and TLC does not do that to their customers. You get the high end (optimization) which should be the case every time, and they do not charge extra for doing the right job and taking care of you.

I was –12 with astigmatism in both eyes before I got LASIK in May 2013. Now I’m –0.75 in my right eye and –0.25 with slight astigmatism in my left eye. It’s really a miracle and my life is changed. I’m so glad I put my faith in the capable hands of Dr. Womack (surgeon) and Dr. Quan (examiner)! Today at my annual eye exam, my new TLC-​affiliated eye doctor even commended the amazing work of my LASIK doctors, commenting specifically on the execution of the flaps. If you have a high prescription and are getting turned away by other doctors, I definitely recommend getting a consultation at TLC. They are very experienced with borderline/​high prescriptions (–9 or more) and you never what might be possible!
I thought about getting LASIK on and off for several years. I finally decided to start seriously considering it when I started experiencing dry eyes due to my 15+ years of wearing gas perms and my computer work. I had consultations at a few different places because I nervous about the procedure and didn’t want to just trust anyone. I ended up choosing TLC because of Dr. Womack’s extensive experience and everyone’s great bedside manner. I could ask all the questions I wanted, I could take my time to think about my decision, and they were never rude, pushy or sale-​sy. Even the day of the surgery, Dr. Womack came in to personally talk to me about the procedure, answer questions, give his honest opinion about the risks and what he would recommend if I was his family, and give me a chance to back out of the procedure. TLC was also very organized and thorough in their work, which boosted my confidence in them. TLC also made sure to add in personal touches to make everything a more pleasant experience, like the teddy bear you hold during surgery or the goody bag you get after surgery. Overall, TLC was the right choice for me and I’m happy I took the chance with them!

I made an appointment for a consultation but when I showed up, they had no record of my appointment. I explained that I had found them because the doctor who had done my LASIK years ago had merged with TLC. They insisted that they couldn’t even talk to me until they got my records out of archive from my original doctor on the east coast. And, they said I needed to provide them copies of every eye exam that I had had in the last decade. After waiting a week, they told me they don’t do surgery for patients that have ever been seen by a doctor outside TLC.

I’m not going to sugar coat it. I got PRK and it was the one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. That being said it has also been one of the most beneficial and rewarding experiences as well. I feel like I’ve been in good hands with Dr. Patch and Dr.Womack. If you think you can tough out the pain and afford the procedure I highly recommend going here. It’s only been a few days and I’m already seeing great.

I had my procedure done almost two months ago. I’m ²⁰⁄₁₅ and can see just as well as I did with my contacts and glasses. Dr. Patch and Dr. Womak were wonderful explaining the treatment, the procedure, aftercare and followups. I was very nervous to begin with but everyone was patient and caring. I was very calm before and during the procedure.
I was originally ²⁰⁄₄₀₀ with –4.00 in both eyes and slight astigmatism. After one month post op I have a .5 diopter of astigmatism in one eye and the other eye is perfect. Still my vision is ²⁰⁄₁₅. There is a chance that the astigmatism will heal away.
I’m so happy that I can see perfectly when I wake up, when I shower, do my makeup. My life has changed and everything happens much quicker in the mornings and evenings. No more dry eyes due to contact lenses and I don’t have to deal with glasses in the evenings when I’m laying down on the couch watching a movie. I continue to use the preservative free lubricating drops all the time for added comfort and healing!

Nice new building. The staff is friendly and very good at explaining what to expect (because they do it a dillion times a day). It seemed quiet the day I had surgery but the folks at the front desk were having a personal conversation that I thought seemed a bit inappropriate. The OR suite’s walls are thin so as you are waiting for your procedure you can hear everything that is going on with the person before you, which for me was unnerving. Overall good. I had an outside ophthalmologist do my LASIK so I can’t comment on the surgeons here.

I had my procedure almost 2 years ago and I could not be happier! When I was looking into getting my Lasik I wanted to go to the best because you can’t put a value on getting something done right when it involves your body.
The people at the clinic were really friendly and made sure I did not rush into the procedure and I knew exactly the steps it takes to recover before I had the operation.
The entire procedure was faster than I thought it would be. Afterwards I took a nap and woke up and was able to see well instantly.
Since I have had the procedure my eyesight has been great and every time I meet someone with contacts and glasses I always tell people getting lasik is one of the best things I have ever done.
I honestly feel that if you are going to get Lasik, TLC has to be the place to go. You might find some deal better elsewhere but, when it comes to your eyes you better not be clipping coupons. In life with most things you get what you pay for and you get the best here.

After being fine with wearing contacts since I was in the sixth grade, I had a streak of bad luck after college. First, there was the ripped contact I wore for about a day and the ensuing symptoms that lasted for months and months. Then, the new brand of lenses that ripped at least once a week.
And after seeing my sister and brother-​in-​law both get their vision fixed here, I knew I had to look into it.
The first consultation was free and easy; lots of eyeball scanny machines and air-​puff doodads (those are technical terms, yes), and – beepboopboopboopbeep! Out pops a recipe for making your vision perfect again.
They recommended PRK (the old-​school version of Lasik) for me, since I had a strong prescription and «thin corneas». This procedure takes longer to heal and might be a tad more uncomfortable, but doesn’t involve the eye flap that Lasik does.
I had to wait a month before getting the actual procedure, which is apparently the max amount of time before you have to get another eye map done.
On the day of, I walked in and they examined my eyes one more time, and before I had the chance to get nervous, it was show-​time. I was surprised at how not-​nervous I was the whole time; the doctor explained what he was doing at every step along the way, and it was actually quite fascinating. Oh, you’re putting drops in my eye that will sear off the top later of cells? Cool. And now you’re using a little squeegie to scrape them off? Awesome. And that smell I’m detecting is just the laser annihilating my eyeball? Good to know.
Anyway, blah blah blah, I walked out of there a little blurry, but more like an I-​slept-​with-​my-​contacts-​in blurry than an I’m-legally-blind blurry. The next day was pretty bad, I’m not going to lie, especially when I woke up and the bandage contact had moved and was rubbing me all the wrong way. But they took care of it at the post-​op appointment.
Three days later, I was driving and back to work. I did all of my follow-​up appointments at the regular doctor, and haven’t had a problem since! It did take about 4 months before my vision got to where it was supposed to be, but that was typical of PRK.
The people who worked here really seemed to have a passion for what they did, and I knew the whole time that they were doing what was best for me and my eyes so that I’d never have to come back to them again!

I had an amazing experience at TLC in Bellevue. The entire staff was very friendly and professional. Dr. Lo was very thorough in explaining the entire procedure and what to expect. There was never any ‘sales pressure’, I truly felt that he, and the entire staff had my best interests in mind and wanted to help me make an informed decision. On surgery day, Dr. Womack spent extra time with me to introduce himself and answer any questions I had. During the procedure Dr. Womack and his assistant, Jessica, were amazing. They made sure I was comfortable, and they talked me through what they were doing and the noises I was hearing every step of the way. I’m not going to claim the actual procedure was enjoyable — but I knew exactly what they were doing, what to expect, and it was over very quickly. Dr. Lo called me a few hours later to make sure I was feeling ok and gave me his personal cell phone # to call over the weekend if I had any issues. I would highly recommend visiting this office, the staff is amazing and they made sure my experience was the best it could be.

I honestly don’t have much to compare in the way of laser eye surgery, but as far as guest service and hospitality goes, this is by far the epitome of a 5-​star!
Story goes I kind of had an emergency appointment. Long story short, I broke my glasses, didn’t want to buy new ones, thought about switching to contacts, but was then informed that my (incredible) parents were going to purchase LASIK for me for a Christmas present! It just so happened they were able to get me in for a consultation only 20 minutes after my parents let me know about this present, in hopes I could avoid buying new contacts or glasses entirely.
I got there, and I literally have never felt more comfortable and calm in a doctors’ office in my life. The receptionist and doctor’s assistant were great conversationists, and I have a feeling they weren’t surprised that I felt so welcome — like they get that all the time from their customers. After a number of tests, a few questions, and the usual medical history paperwork, I was scheduled for an appointment only two days later. All of the doctors, assistants, and the even the receptionist made sure that I was completely sure I wanted to go through with this procedure, and I knew that I absolutely wanted to (after my dad went through a perfect surgery).
I went in the day of surgery a bit nervous, but with the hospitality I received from the *entire* staff, my nerves were calmed quite a bit. I met a new doctor that day, the actual surgeon, and his personality and demeanor by themselves were incredibly calming as well. The procedure took about 8 minutes, and afterward I literally had my hand held on my way out of the operation room.
I unfortunately had a bit more redness in my eyes than most patients do, and for a longer period (average is about two weeks I’m told, mine were red for about five), but other than scaring a few children, there were absolutely no side effects from the redness.
Months later, I’m now seeing slightly better than 20/​15, have my night vision completely back, and am loving not having to deal with glasses again. If you’re even remotely considering LASIK, I’d HIGHLY recommend heading over to TLC for some more information on it, along with a super friendly, outgoing staff that will easily remove any doubt you may have in your mind about it.

Because my eyes are very precious items, I spent a lot of time researching clinics and doctors in Seattle and Bellevue. TLC uses state-​of-​the-​art equipment, offers the bladeless procedure, employs surgeons with thousands of surgeries under their belts, and provides support staff for anything you can think of. During my research, I noticed TLC was forthcoming, honest, and respected my time and privacy. In the consultations, there was no pressure, cost, or obligation. It was apparent to me that the staff’s sole focus was on me achieving my goal, and they expressed the wish that I make my decision carefully. I asked for a second consultation so I could be sure of my decision, and it was willingly accommodated. When I decided to proceed, I chose the custom bladeless, which came with a lifetime warrantee. After the 2^nd visit, I told my brother about the clinic, since he had the same surgery in North Dakota 3 years ago. While talking with him, we discovered the same surgeon who attended him in ND was on staff here in Bellevue. I asked the clinic about that and learned that the surgeon performed surgeries in both Washington and North Dakota every month. My brother was very happy with his surgery and after three years still had perfect vision. This confirmed my decision to use TLC, and I asked for the same surgeon that my brother had. Because the surgeon would not be available for five weeks, I received an additional exam one week prior to the surgery. The physician assistant called in my perscription for me at a drug store by my house when I got too busy, and called to remind of things to do so that I would be prepared before the surgery. At one point, I wasn’t sure I could get a ride from a friend, and the clinic offered to pay for half of my cab fare! Three physicians, all specializing in different aspects of the process, attended. One physician was on call for a week after my surgery, and promptly answered the two times that I called. Follow-​up care was delivered with the same precision and excellence, and during the entire process, I felt that the staff was meticulous and thoughtful. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone wanting the best care for their eyes.

if i can choose no star, i’ll do none than to give 1 star. what’s worst than to pay 3000 for a butcher who ignores your pain? too stupid of me not to verbalize the pain (so i have legal power) but I_​WAS_​IN_​HORRIBLE_​PAIN and he simply «does his work» and assumed i was okay. i’m so upset that i almost need a counsellor afterwards, seriously (and ask my friend how i reacted right after the surgery!).
good luck if you go. i am tempted to pay you not to risk. i don’t want to see another tragedy. this is your eyes, find the best doctor you can.
