This is a wonderful café, right on the main floor of Overlake Hospital! They have a huge selection of pastries, muffins and cookies, and a ton of salads, sandwiches and made-​to-​order meals. Their daily hot selection of meals is varied and all I have had here were great. The prices are a tad pm the high side, but the selection and quality of food is great. I like how there are always healthy options, too: yogurts, fruits, fresh salads.
The layout of the restaurant is very nice, too, and I especially like how there’s a lot of natural light from the windows on the east side of this café.
The staff here have always been friendly, and the café is always clean and welcoming.

Located inside of Overlake Hospital, Stanzas Café offers a great selection of meals to visitor, patients and staff of Overlake. The prices are competitive, food is fresh and the menu has some very tasty, let limited options. One example is although they offer a daily pizza selection, their is only one flavor offered. Service is friendly and the dining area provides basic cafeteria comfort. All in all, if you are at Overlake and need a meal, this is a good place to go, but not at all somewhere I would ever make a special trip for.

I hit Stanzas on a daily basis, and would have rated it much higher, but the current brand of coffee used is dreadful. The new coffee is from Café Vita, and either there is something wrong with the espresso machine, or this is the weakest most repugnant coffee around.
The staff are always cheerful and responsive.

Stanzas is essentially an upscale cafeteria for the hospital staff and visitors at Overlake. They have a daily hot sandwich special, and cook up featured hot dishes to order, but also have pre-​packaged fresh lunch food and some pasta dishes. Not much ambiance, and the panini I had was meh, but the other offerings looked good.
