I had my first car accident under Geico. Nobody was hurt, but my car was damaged a fair bit. After I submitted my collision claim online. An insurance guy contacted me right away. He asked some questions about the accident, and learning that my car was leaking coolant he arranged to have a tow truck come by and for a rental car. Everything was taken care of that day. The only paperwork I needed to do, was the initial filing of the accident report and the form to let them start repairs on my car. Overall it was really smooth and didn’t take much time.

The one star is for the billing accountability of this company. I went online and paid my policy with a credit card. Two days later it was deducted from my CHECKING account. When I called to have it corrected I was told they could not redeposit it to my checking but they would credit my credit card. Three reps later, two supervisors later I am now calling their Chevy Chase MD headquarters… like that will do any good.
I can’t vouch for any other aspect of the policy as I have never had to try and get a claim etc… if this is any indication of their service I hope I never have to.

What do Geico Insurance, Myself, Rick James, President Millard Filmore, and the Goo Goo Dolls all have in common? All awesome and from Buffalo, New York.
I just purchased a new car and needed car insurance. And, since I am 50% Italian, 25% German, and 25% Caveman I knew I had to try Geico. Other insurance companies were quoting me about $ 150/month. So, just like they said– 15 minutes later I had full coverage, $ 50 deductible, and car insurance for $ 94/month.
Lesson: Trust people from Buffalo, New York. We are awesome and we will treat you right. ;-)
