Rainbow Vacuum Authorized Sales & Service

Although I already owned a Kirby, my husband was pressured/​forced to buy a Rainbow. While it’s great for sucking up bugs and liquid spills, I doesn’t even come close to comparing with the Kirby. The Kirby had fat better suction on carpets (every height) and the HEPPA bag worked so well that the Rainbow demonstrater aimed a bright light directly at the Kirby while running it, too prove how much dust actually escaped, but was unsuccessful. He kept hitting the Kirby bag trying to force some dust out, then he unzipped it and barely any diary particles escaped. As embarrassed as he was, he tried changing the complaint to grunting while handling the Kirby, complaining about how heavy it was because it was made of metal. I mentioned I NEVER had a problem because the Kirby had the ‘self-​propelled ’ function making vacuuming super easy (especially since I had back surgery)
The Rainbow on the other hand, while making a great wetvac and bug catcher, has incredibly LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I tried simply cleaning the HEPPA filter to the Rainbow AS DIRECTED, yet the filter was ruined. It might have been a defective filter but my complaint boils down to my lack of options. Customer service SHOULD replace the darn filter, especially since it’s clearly under warranty, but Phyllis, in customer service, who was incredibly RUDE, insisted I did something wrong and that I’d just have to but a new one. They want to charge OVER $ 300!!! JUST to replace the filter! What in the heck is the warranty for?
Rainbow really does SCAM you out of $ 2,500-$ 3,000 and once they get your money, «SCREW YOU» is Rainbow’s attitude! I refuse to make another payment, as I March my way to my bank to put stop payment on all payments each month from Rainbow. I’ll use that money to replace what needs replacing.
THANKS PHYLLIS, THANKS RAINBOW FOR SUCH AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! !.. Rainbow should be ashamed to do business in such a slimy way! I’m just HAPPY I have my KIRBY (in which case I’ve NEVER had any problems with in the YEARS I’ve owned it)
If anything ever happened to my Kirby, I’d replace it with another KIRBY. NEVER again would I be dumb enough to deal with RAINBOW!

We have used a rainbow vacuum for 30+ years and recently purchased a new one. Expensive and not worth it. We have used it less then 40 times and already have to use duct tape to hold the hose on the cleaning pipe. Trying to connect to the basin takes two people. Doesn’t snap in.
Overall a piece of garbage. Not worth it. Sorry we upgraded
